Mumbai, May 17 - Jio Studios and Mumbai Film Company's historical action drama Raja Shivaji has officially crossed the coveted 100 crore gross mark at the domestic box office, emerging as one of the biggest blockbusters in the history of Marathi cinema. Directed by and starring Riteish Deshmukh, Raja Shivaji, based on the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, has been rewriting records since its release on May 1. The film opened to a record-breaking first weekend of 40.35 crore gross, the biggest opening weekend ever for a Marathi film.
