Salman Khan's 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan' Pre-Sales Opens On Promising Note

Mumbai, April 18 - Superstar Salman Khan's long-awaited family action drama film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is getting ready to release on April 21. Directed by Farhad Samji, KKBKKJ carries a lot of expectations and a litmus test for Salman's stardom. ## Meanwhile, the full-fledged advance booking for the movie was opened yesterday, and the initial response is positive. The pre-sales haven't been great for most of the Bollywood movies post the covid-19 pandemic, but here, KKBKKJ is portraying a different story. ## It has been only 24 hours since the advances were opened, and the pre-booking is already nearing 1 crore gross with around 35K tickets sold for the opening day. In the three national chains (PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis), it has sold around 15K tickets so far. ## The good news for the movie is that it is showing a better advance booking trend in non-multiplex chains which has always been a strong zone for Salman. With two days left, during which the advances peak, the movie is well on track to fetch decent to good pre-sales and among the best this year. ## As far as the opening day box office is concerned, it could be around 18 crores which will be a good result considering the pre-Eid release. Salman's last full-fledged theatrical release, "Dabangg 3" opened at 23 crores net in the pre-covid era. ## KKBKKJ is produced by Salman Khan Films and Zee Studios. Official Runtime For Prabhas-Fronted 'Adipurush' Reportedly Revealed

Mumbai, April 18 - Prabhas-fronted epic Adipurush is one of the most anticipated Indian films and ahead of its wide release in June this year, the film receives a major boost with the announcement of its World Premiere at Tribeca Festival in New York. ## Based on the epic Ramayana, "Adipurush" will be screened at the prestigious festival on June 13. Meanwhile, the official website of the Tribeca Festival has reported a runtime of 174 minutes (2 hours and 54 minutes), making it one of the longest Bollywood movies ever. ## The movie is directed by Om Raut and produced by T-Series, Retrophiles, and UV Creations. It features Prabhas as Lord Ram along with Kriti Sanon as Sita, Saif Ali Khan as Raavan, Sunny Singh as Lakshman, and Devdatta Nage as Hanuman, among others. ## Excited about the premiere, Om Raut said, "Adipurush is not a film, it is an emotion, a sentiment! It is our vision of a story that resonates with the very spirit of India. Mumbai, April 18 - After almost one and a half years, the shoot of superstar Shah Rukh Khan's mass entertainer Jawan wraps up today (April 18). The talkie portions had already completed for this Atlee Kumar's directorial with only two songs left which have now been completed.## According to Peepingmoon.com, "Shah Rukh Khan finally completes shooting for Jawan today. Although the talkie portions were already finished on April 5, they still had two songs left. SRK shot a romantic track with Nayanthara and then filmed a mass dance song with Deepika Padukone. Today is the last day for the SRK and Deepika song, and then it will officially be concluded". ## The filming of Jawan commenced in September 2021 and since then, the team has shot in different locations in Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Rajasthan, and Mumbai. The movie features SRK in a duel role along with Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Sunil Grover, and Yogi Babu while Sanjay Dutt and Deepika Padukone play cameo roles. ## There have been rumors that the movie will be postponed, however, the report has confirmed that the makers are very much on track to release it on June 2. The editing, VFX, and all post-production works are going on in full swing to meet the release date, while at the same time, Atlee Kumar has also started working on its teaser and trailer. It is said that the teaser will be launched in the first week of May.## The action sequences in the film have been choreographed by Hollywood stunt directors like Craig Macrae (Mad Max: Fury Road, Avengers: Age of Ultron), Yannick Ben, and India's Sunil Rodrigues. Mumbai, April 17 - A sequel to Dharma Productions' hit romantic film Dhadak is reportedly in the works with Siddhant Chaturvedi and Tripti Dimri in the lead. It will be directed by debutante Shazia Iqbal, who has been working as a Production Designer for thirteen years in the Indian Film & Advertising Industry. ## Directed by Shashank Khaitan, "Dhadak", which was a remake of the Marathi movie "Sairat", was released in 2018 and marked the debut of Ishaan Khattar and Janhvi Kapoor. The film did very well at the box office, grossing over 100 crores worldwide against a budget of approx. 30 crores. ## According to Pinkvilla, Karan Johar wants to turn "Dhadak" into a proper intense romantic franchise in which two protagonists fight society to live together as the filmmaker believes that this zone of going against all odds for love has the potential to get a franchise value.## The report further adds that after contemplating on several subjects, Karan Johar has greenlit a subject that qualifies to be a sequel to Dhadak and has roped in two very talented youngsters to headline Dhadak 2. Mumbai, April 15 - Action star Vidyut Jammwal's IB 71 has been announced to release on May 12 this year in theaters worldwide. Based on true incidents, the film is directed by National Award winner Sankalp Reddy. ## The espionage thriller is based on a true incident of how Indian Intelligence Officers outwitted the entire Pakistani establishment and gave the Indian armed forces the required advantage to face a two-front war during the 1971 war.## The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Vidyut Jammwal, Abbas Sayyed, and Reliance Entertainment. Jammwal plays the role of an IB agent along with Anupam Kher and Vishal Jethwa in key roles. The makers took to Twitter to share the first look poster and teaser of the film. ## In the poster, Vidyut can be seen in the look of an officer, and a sketch of an airplane is made with red. The poster also features Anupam Kher and Vishal Jethwa along with others. Mumbai, April 15 - Superstar Salman Khan is busy with the promotion of his much-awaited family action drama film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan which is scheduled to release on April 21. Directed by Farhad Samji, the movie also stars Pooja Hegde, Venkatesh, and Jagapathi Babu, among others in key roles. ## Meanwhile, the film has reportedly been certified with a "U/A" certificate with a crisp theatrical run time of approx. 2 hours and 25 minutes or 145 minutes. The runtime is on the expected lines of these types of films. KKBKKJ is said to be the remake of the Tamil movie "Veeram" which was 155 minutes long. ## It is the first theatrical release of Salman Khan in more than 3 years in the full-fledged role. His "Radhe" was a direct-to-digital release while "Antim" featured him in an extended cameo role. Salman also played a cameo in Shah Rukh Khan-fronted "Pathaan" which was released in January this year. ## KKBKKJ is about Bhaijaan (Salman Khan), who is an honest man and lives happily with his brothers. Jio Studios To Produce Ayan Mukerji's 'Brahmastra' Films Along With Its Spin-Offs

Mumbai, April 15 - A few days ago, blockbuster director Ayan Mukerji announced on social media that the second and third parts of his Astra Verse Brahmastra trilogy would be released in 2026 and 2027 respectively, and that he is currently working on the script. ## Soon after the filmmaker announced development on the films, it was reported that Karan Johar's Dharma Productions has backed out from bankrolling the films over some issues. And now, according to Pinkvilla, Dinesy has also taken a back seat, instead, talks are in the final stage with Jio Studios to come on board as the leading producer. ## "Disney is in the mode of restructuring their content strategy in India. After several meetings over the last few months, Disney has decided to take a back seat from the Brahmastra franchise", reports Pinkvilla, adding that Disney is ready to sell the complete IP of the Brahmastra franchise to Ayan, who is already a part owner. ## Brahmastra has been a franchise dear to Ayan who has spent years bringing it to the big screen. He doesn't want let to go and has decided to make it with Jio Studios which is already high with the announcement of over 100 movies and shows for the next few years.## It is said that not just for the next two Brahmastra films, Ayan along with his hero Ranbir Kapoor, is also in advance talks with Jio Studios for the spin-offs from the franchise for streaming and the big screen. "Ayan has plans to make Brahmastra Part 2: Dev and Brahmastra Part 3: Shiva v/s Dev for Jio Studios, which are the tentpole attraction of the deal". ## "Apart from the two pioneers, he will be making spin-offs on other characters of the Brahmastra in the format of web series, and independent feature films. The spin-offs for characters include Nandi Astra, Pawan Astra, and Gaj Astra for digital, whereas Jal Astra is expected to be made for the big screen. ## Going forward, if the deal comes to fruition, the Brahmastra franchise will be produced by Jio Studios with Starlight Pictures and Mukerji's Astra Verse. Meanwhile, before starting Brahmastra (mostly in 2025), Ayan will be directing Yash Raj Films' War 2 featuring Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR. And now, the 4th installment of the series is already in the works with director Indra Kumar at the helm. ## According to ETimes, Indra Kumar has cracked the idea for the fourth film and is very keen to get Ajay Devgn on board once again. He and his team are currently rushing to put finishing touches to the script so that they can give Ajay Devgn a narration and block his dates. The makers are hoping to take it on floors by end of this year or early next year.## The last film in the franchise, Total Dhamaal was released in 2019 and grossed over 230 crores worldwide. Mumbai, April 14 - Last year, it was reported that Ayushmann Khurrana and Samantha Ruth Prabhu would be sharing screen space for the first time in producer Dinesh Vijan's next horror-comedy film. ## The reports also stated that Ayushmann will feature in the role of a vampire while Samantha will play a princess. Now, the latest reports have revealed that the movie is titled Vampires of Vijay Nagar and it will go on floors by the end of this year or early 2024 under the direction of Amar Kaushik. ## According to Peepingmoon.com, "The shooting timelines are not yet decided as there are still many permutations and combinations to be worked out. However, the movie is unquestionably going to be made, and Maddock Films will make an official announcement soon. The film has been titled 'Vampires of Vijay Nagar' and will be helmed by Amar Kaushik. The director will get into this project after finishing Stree 2, which goes into production around June this year".## "Vampires of Vijay Nagar" will be a part of Vijan's proposed horror-comedy universe and will be the fifth standalone film in this series which kicked off with Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao's "Stree" in 2018, followed by Janhvi Kapoor's "Roohi", Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon's "Bhediya", and soon to release "Munjha" starring Sharvari Wagh. ## The horror-comedy universe will start interconnecting from "Stree 2" which will release on August 31, 2024. Mumbai, April 14 - Director Farhad Samji, who is gearing up for the release of the much-awaited Salman Khan starrer Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, has been at the center of social media negativity regarding his future films. ## In February this year, it came to light that Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal would be reuniting for the 3rd installment of the much loved Hera Pheri and they even shot an announcement video for the same. ## It was also reported that Farhad Samji would be directing the film, and soon after it was revealed, the fans of Akshay Kumar started a negative trend "Remove Farhad Samji from Hera Pheri 3" as they didn't want him to direct such a huge film. ## A section of the film industry supported the trend and pointed out how it's justified to blame Samji entirely if a certain film or series of him didn't meet the expectations. The critisism grew after Samji's web series, "Pop Kaun" met with disaster response. ## The filmmaker finally breaks silence on the trend and spoke to Bollywood Hungama. "Firstly, when the film has not even been officially announced, toh kaun hai yeh log? We try our best. If anyone has any problem, then we'll try to rectify it by making better movies and by writing better punches. Our intention is to appeal to audiences of all kinds and provide them with a film that has a combination of romance, masala, action, comedy etc".## "God has been very kind right from my writing days, and it continues as I turned director. Housefull 4 (2019) is the biggest hit of Akshay Kumar. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is such a huge success if we take into account the ROI. Ab iske aage kya bolne ka?", he added.## There hasn't been officially confirmed yet whether Samji will direct the film as many reports stated that he only directed promo and might not helm the film. Mumbai, April 13 - The sequel to Sunny Kaushal, and Radhika Madan-fronted romantic drama Shiddat is reportedly in development with Parineeti Chopra as the leading lady opposite Kaushal. ## Directed by Kunal Deshmukh, Shiddat was released in October 2021 on Disney+Hotstar and got an appreciation for its story, songs, and performances. The film was well-received the sequel was imminent which has now been announced. ## Shiddat 2 will be produced by Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films and T-Series in association with Jio Studios and it will be released in 2024. It is not yet confirmed if it will be a direct-to-digital release or will have an exclusive theatrical release first. ## It is also not confirmed if Radhika Madan as well as Mohit Raina and Diana Penty will be a part of the sequel or not.
