Ranveer Singh Locks His Next Films After 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani'

Mumbai, June 1 - Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh is gearing up for the release of the much-awaited Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani which is expected to score a much-needed hit for him after back-to-back failures. Directed by Karan Johar, RRKPK will hit screens on July 28 this year.

The actor hasn't officially announced his next film yet but he said to have locked in two films which will be his immediate next after RRKPK. It is well known to everyone that Ranveer has been in talks with Sanjay Leela Bhansali for the period musical drama film Baiju Bawra, and according to Pinkvilla, the actor has finally on board the movie. There were some issues regarding the budget which have now been solved.



Alia Bhatt has already been locked in to play the female lead alongside Ranveer in the film which is expected to go on floors in the first quarter of 2024. It will be Ranveer and Alia's third film after "Gully Boy" and "RRKPK". Before this, Ranveer will shoot for his extended cameo in Rohit Shetty's "Singham Again" starring Ajay Devgn in the lead.

Meanwhile, it was recently revealed that superstar Shah Rukh Khan won't be doing Don 3 which led to discussions about who will be the next Don. A few days later, it was reported filmmaker Farhan Akhtar has locked Ranveer Singh to be the next Don and according to the reports, he has already shot a promo which will be released with the official announcement.

"Don 3" will be Ranveer's next after SLB's film and by that time, Farhan will complete the shooting for Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt, and Katrina Kaif's "Jee Le Zara" which starts shooting this September/October.

Ranveer Singh also has director Shankar's next which is said to be based on a Tamil novel. It will be produced by Jayantilal Gada of Pen Studios. The actor is also in talks with Sony Pictures India to play the Indian superhero Shaktimaan.
