Mumbai, April 23 - Akshay Kumar's highly-anticipated Hera Pheri 3 is not finding it easy to get going as the film continues to be in legal trouble. In fact, the threequel is in trouble ever since its development was officially revealed by the media after years of speculations. ## Earlier this year, it was revealed that the makers have shot a promo featuring Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal as they were planning to make the official announcement soon. However, there was massive criticism when it came to light that Farhad Samji might be directing the film as fans started trending 'Remove Farhad Samji From Hera Pheri' on Twitter. ## Due to the heavy backlash, the official announcement, which was expected to be made in early April, got postponed. That is not the only problem makers have been facing as some days later, T-Series issued a public notice claiming that the production house is the "sole and exclusive right holder of all copyright of all Music and Audio Visual Song Rights" of the franchise in all mediums. ## And now, another legal notice has been served to the makers, this time by Eros International. According to Film Information Magazine (via Bollywood Hungama), Eros has claimed that it holds Intellectual Property Rights as well as the rights to the title, digital rights, and music rights on a 'sole and exclusive basis'. And that's not all. Eros also claimed that it has the exclusive rights to Welcome Back (2015).## The notice further stated that Firoz Nadiadwala's Base Industries Group owes Rs. 60,07,75,236, inclusive of interest, to Eros International as on April 17, 2023. It also claimed that Nadiadwala had made it clear that it would not create third-party rights or try to release Hera Pheri 3 in India or any part of the world without the consent of Eros International.## This legal fiasco could also hamper the upcoming sequels to "Welcome" and "Awara Pagal Deewana" as Eros International has claimed it holds similar rights for these two franchises as well. ## Stay tuned...

Mumbai, April 21 - Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's long-awaited family action drama film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan has been released in theaters today and is expected to do well at the box office. ## Salman Khan stars in the film alongside Telugu actors Venkatesh, and Jagapathi Babu, among others. There was a time when two-hero films used to be the norm, especially in Bollywood, but the trend died down in the last 15-20 years. ## Post the covid-19 pandemic, the chatter about making two-hero films has been peaking pace as most people feel that this is the need of the hour for the betterment of the industry. Recently, Salman Khan played a vital cameo in Shah Rukh Khan-fronted "Pathaan" which also stars John Abraham. ## The cameo of Salman was a major highlight and played a big role in "Pathaan's" box office success. The two heroes will now be sharing equal screen time in "Tiger Vs. Pathaan" which begins next year and before that, SRK will be seen playing a cameo in Salman's "Tiger 3" which releases on Diwali this year. ## Salman Khan seems to be a big supporter of two-hero films and he has also advised younger actors to follow this path. Mumbai, April 20 - Superstar Salman Khan-fronted Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is having a decent advance booking trend though the pace is slowed down after starting on a positive note. ## Directed by Farhad Samji, KKBKKJ has so far sold around 100K tickets worth approx. 2.50 crores gross for the opening day. The three national chains (PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis) have clocked around 40K tickets so far and it looks to finish around 60K-65K tickets. ## The advances are having better response than all but Shah Rukh Khan-fronted "Pathaan" for the 2023 films. At the end of the day, the total pre-sales for the first day are expected to finish over 4 crores gross with approx. 150K-175K tickets, which will make it the second biggest this year. ## At the start of the advance booking a couple of days ago, KKBKKJ was looking to score in the range of 20 crores net on the first day, however, the slow pace and the pre-Eid release have brought down the projection a little bit.## As many are expecting, the opening of the film is looking in the 15 crores net range but considering the better response in mass pockets, it should be eying to open around 17 crores which will be a good number and it could go higher if the talks are positive. Many would argue that a 15-17 crores opening is not up to the mark for a star like Salman Khan but things are not as same it was before the pre-covid era. ## Salman Khan has a strong fan-following in mass belts so expect the walk-ins to be strong than most of the Bollywood films this year. Titled Gadar: The Katha Continues, this Sunny Deol-fronted period action drama is slated to release on August 11, clashing with "Animal" at the box office.## Surprisingly, the Hindi remake of Prabhas' Chatrapathi, starring Telugu actor Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas is the 5th most anticipated Indian movie of Summer 2023, ahead of Ajay Devgn's Maidaan and other big budget films. The teaser of Chatrapathi was recently launched and it got an overwhelming response from the Hindi audiences. It is slated for May 12 release ## Ajay Devgn-fronted sports biopic Maidaan is the 6th most anticipated film. It is based on Indian football's golden era and is scheduled to release on June 23 in multiple languages. Sidharth Malhotra's action thriller Yodha (July 7) takes the 7th spot on the list, followed by Ranveer Singha and Alia Bhatt's Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani (July 28) at number 8. ## Telugu movie Hanu-Man (May 12) is the 9th most anticipated film while Chaitanya Akkineni's Custody is the 10th in the list. ## Stay tuned...
