Chennai, February 17 - Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar is readying for the release of his long-awaited action thriller, "Valimai", which is slated for February 24 release in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, and Kannada, languages. ## Meanwhile, even before the release of "Valimai", producer Boney Kapoor recently confirmed that he would be reuniting with Tamil superstar for the third time, and it will also be directed by H Vinoth. The movie, tentatively titled #AK61, will go on floors on March 9, 2022. ## "AK 61" will be another action thriller film billed on strong emotions. Interestingly, Ajith Kumar will reportedly be playing a negative role in the film after a long time. It will mark "Billa" actor's 3rd straight film with Boney Kapoor after "Nerkonda Paarvai" (2019), and "Valimai". ## According to reports, Boney Kapoor has set Diwali 2022 release date for AK 61 as he is confident that the movie will be completed before that. Chennai, February 15 - Thalapathy Vijay's action thriller "Beast" is readying for April 14, 2022, release in theaters worldwide. The makers kick-started the online promotion of the film by releasing the first song, Arabic Kuthu, on Valentine's Day, and it has become an instant hit on YouTube and other social media platforms. ## Arabic Kuthu, sung by Anirudh Ravichander & Jonita Gandhi and composed by Anirudh from the lyrics penned by SivaKarthikeyan, was expected to become a big hit knowing the massive fan following of Thalapathy Vijay. It not only became a major hit but also surpassed the expectation of everyone, by becoming the most viewed and liked South Indian lyrical video song on YouTube. ## The lyrical video song of Arabic Kuthu gained 23.7 million views on YouTube in the first 24-hours, which is a record for a South Indian song. It crossed Mahesh Babu and Pooja Hegde's Kalavathi song from "Sarkaru Vaari Paata", which had 14.79 million views during the same period. Kalavathi was released a day before Arabic Kuthu. ## The "Beast" first single has also become the first South Indian lyrical video song to score over 20 million views in the first 24-hours while it also got 2.2 million likes, which is again a record in South India. Chennai, February 15 - National Award-winning South Indian choreographer, Brinda, who is making her directorial debut with upcoming Tamil romantic-comedy, "Hey Sinamika", has revealed why she picked this title for her directorial debut. ## "Hey Sinamika", starring Dulquer Salmaan, Kajal Aggarwal, and Aditi Rao Hydari in the lead roles, is scheduled to release in theaters on March 3. Brinda, who considers filmmaker Mani Ratnam her guru, had choreographed a song titled 'Aye Sinamika' for his film 'OK Kanmani'.## Fortunately, the director says that by a strange stroke of coincidence, the word 'Sinamika' also means 'angry girls', and that fits perfectly with the film's plotline. Without any second thoughts, director Brinda decided that this was going to be her film's title and locked it.## Elaborating further, she says, "I choreographed one of Mani sir's songs 'Aye Sinamika' in the past and that too featured Dulquer. I really liked the title and when I told Mani, sir, about it, he laughingly said, 'So, now you are taking the title from one of my films?' Chennai, February 15 - Tamil star Sivakarthikeyan is gearing up for the release of his next big campus entertainer "Don", which is slated for March 25th release in theaters worldwide. ## Directed by Cibi Chakaravarthi, "Don" is produced by Allirajah Subaskaran of Lyca Productions in association with Sivakarthikeyan Productions. The movie also stars Priyanka Arul Mohan as the female lead opposite Sivakarthikeyan while S. J. Suryah, Samuthirakani, and Soori appear in pivotal roles. ## Meanwhile, "Don" will also release in the dubbed Telugu language simultaneously with the original Tamil version. Sivakarthikeyan's last film, "Doctor" received praises from the Telugu audiences and did business of around 3.50 crores in the dubbed version. Sengeni seeks the help of an advocate Chandru to seek justice for her husband. Chandru files a habeas corpus case and he refers to the Rajan case to continue further to find the truth. ## Released on Amazon Prime Video on 2 November 2021, "Jai Bhim" received critical acclaim. It is produced by Jyothika and Suriya under 2D Entertainment and also stars Lijomol Jose, Manikandan, Rajisha Vijayan, Prakash Raj, Rao Ramesh, among others in key roles. Chennai, February 5 - After "Master" last year, Thalapathy Vijay is ready for his next box office monster "Beast". The upcoming action thriller was announced for April 2022 release by Sun Pictures. While the studio hasn't revealed the release date yet, the industry sources have confirmed that it would be released on April 14. ## The Sun Pictures production is creating a serious buzz among the fans and trade and seeing it as the potential blockbuster. It was originally planned to release on Pongal this year, however, due to the delay in the production thanks to the covid-19 pandemic, the makers rescheduled it for April 2022. ## The movie was announced in December 2020 as "Thalapathy 65". The shoot was commenced in March 2021 and the first look with the title was unveiled on 21 June 2021. The movie is directed by Vignesh Shivan while he has also produced it under his banner Rowdy Pictures in association with Seven Screen Studios. ## The makers of "Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal" have announced that the movie will be released only in theaters in April this year while the teaser of the film will be unveiled on 11 February. A couple of days ago, makers announced that "RRR" would be released either on March 18 or April 29, based on the covid situation in the country. ## Assuming that "RRR" will be released on either of the given dates, Tamil star Siva Kartikeyan's "Don" was announced for March 25 release. However, by surprising one and all, "RRR" makers, a few hours after the "Don" release date announcement, also finalized March 25 release worldwide in multiple languages including Tamil.## Since Lyca Productions is the distributor of "RRR" in Tamil Nadu and also producing Siva Kartikeyan's "Don", the decision of postponing the Tamil movie is looking inevitable. The movie would have still gone with March 25 date had "RRR" stuck to March 18. It will now release at February end or in March this year. ## Meanwhile, Thala Ajith is readying to kickstart the shoot of his next film, in which he will be reuniting with "Valimai" director and producer duo of H Vinoth and Boney Kapoor. Now, according to the latest reports, actress Tabu has been roped in to play the female lead. ## While the official announcement is yet to be made, Tabu is set to romance Thala Ajith on the big screen after 22 years. The duo was last seen as lead actors in the Tamil romantic film "Kandukondain Kandukondain", directed and co-written by Rajiv Menon. The film was based on Jane Austen's novel and it starred Mammootty, Aishwarya Rai, Srividya, and Raghuvaran in supporting roles. ## Tentatively titled #AK61, the movie will mark Tabu's return to Tamil cinema after 9 years. However, as speculated earlier, the Hindi dubbed version of the film won't be released in theaters. ## Directed by Atlee, "Mersal" is an action thriller film that stars Thalapathy Vijay in the lead role alongside S. J. Surya, Sathyaraj, Vadivelu, Hareesh Peradi, Kajal Aggarwal, Nithya Menen, and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in key roles. It is produced by Thenandal Studio Limited in their 100th production. ## Goldmines Telefilms has the Hindi dubbing rights and on Thursday (January 27), the studio unveiled the teaser and announced that it will air on the Dhinchaak tv channel soon. Chennai, January 27 - Tamil superstar Suriya received wide acknowledgment for his role in "Soorarai Pottru", released directly on Amazon Prime Video. The movie was directed by Sudha Kongara, who will now reunite with the actor for another film. ## In a recent interview with Variety, Suriya confirmed that he would be teaming up with Sudha for one more film. It will, however, go on floors sometime next year after Suriya completes his currently in the pipeline projects. ## For now, the actor is gearing up for the first theatrical release in more than two years in the form of "Etharkkum Thunindhavan". It was supposed to release on February 4 but postponed due to the covid-19 third wave and will now release in the second half of the same month. ## Apart from the release of "ET", the next film that will commence shooting is with Bala, who previously directed him in "Nandha" (2001) and "Pithamagan" (2003). Suriya's 'Etharkkum Thunindhavan' New Release Date Revealed

Chennai, January 26 - Suriya's first big-screen release after two back-to-back direct OTT premieres, "Etharkkum Thunindhavan" has been delayed due to the 3rd covid-19 wave. The action-thriller, written & directed by Pandiraj, was supposed to release on February 4 this year. ## According to Only Kollywood, Sun Pictures has pushed the film by a couple of weeks and the movie will now release on either February 17th or 18th. Even though the 3rd covid wave isn't as serious as the 2nd wave, the state government has imposed a weekend curfew to curb the spread of the virus. It was a wise move to push the release of ET by two weeks as makers are hopeful that the situation will be normal by then. ## "Etharkkum Thunindhavan" is Suriya's 40th film. It marked Suriya's 3rd collaboration with Sun Pictures after Ayan (2009) and Singam (2010) while Pandiraj earlier worked with Suriya, whose production company 2D Entertainment had backed his projects "Pasanga 2", which had the latter playing a supporting character and Karthi's "Kadaikutty Singam".## Suriya's 1st film as a lead hero with Pandiraj, "Etharkkum Thunindhavan" has a huge cast in place including Priyanka Arul Mohan, who plays the female lead alongside Sathyaraj, Vinay, and others. The film's music is composed by D. Imman, whilst cinematography was handled by R. Rathnavelu.## Meanwhile, Suriya also has a film with director Vetrimaaran titled "Vaadivaasal". This Kalaippuli S.
