IMDb Unveils List of Top 10 Most Popular Indian Stars of 2023; Superstar Shah Rukh Khan Tops

Mumbai, November 22 - Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan led the most popular Indian stars ranking of 2023 on IMDb. The actor has a remarkable year so far with two back-to-back mega-blockbuster successes in the form of "Pathaan" and "Jawan" (both grossed over 2200 crores worldwide combined), and he easily topped IMDb India's Top 10 most popular Indian actors of the year.

Alia Bhatt, who continues to have success both on the big screen and digital, takes the second spot among the most popular stars list. This year, the actress headlined Karan Johar's "Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani" which made over 350 crores worldwide. He also featured in Netflix's "Heart of Stone" alongside Gal Gadot, in her Hollywood debut.



"I thank my audience for bringing me to the position that I am in. While I hope to continue entertaining them, I am filled with only love and gratitude. I also promise to keep working hard and bringing more inspiring stories and characters on screen", Alia said.

The third most popular Indian star of the year is Deepika Padukone who featured in "Pathaan" and also played a key role in "Jawan". Wamiqa Gabbi, who has become an OTT star after solid roles in "Khufiya", "Jubilee", "Kali Jotta", and "Modern Love Chennai", takes the 4th position, followed by lady superstar Nayanthara ("Jawan") at 5.
