The static saviour and visionery developer of bollywood!
Brahmastra: Part One - Shiva had proved its success in the field of creating a shared universe in its own definitive style. It became a crucial site to open the door of both commercial and experimental exploration in the present day media. Though having many plot-holes and certain illogical aspects, it still will remain its hype of viewing, and moves to guide for a better chance of creating such types of concepts. Not wasting any time, i'll jump directly to the over all aspect review, where give a **SPOILER ALERT** to everyone:
The Pros and the Drawbacks:
1. Pro-Concept is the most amazing thing and one of the brilliant ideas of bollywood had ever thought. It will revive the essence of indian legendary system of weaponry and employ it as much as impossible. And also the vfx team had made it to another level. It is top-notch in that case. Drawback - Although having the concept this much of creative, it lags in using that system in a proper and efficient way. Vanaraastra and Nandi astra could be used far more effectively than the way it is and might required a larger screen time. In fact each of all astras was not used properly, except agni astra.
2. Pro-Story is the king of a film. And here, it tries to achieve that throne in a bollywood manner. The settlement for the next part will blow up the hype for astraverse to create more fanbase. Casting and acting is also really good, ranbir had made an immense job of holding the whole film on his shoulders. Also, the cameos will rock the screens. The king shah rukh khan and superstar nagarjun went way too crazy to make their roles better. Drawback - Story is simply good, but not magnificent. Having such an amazing concept could required a lot of fiction work and each dialogue could be iconic, but there's none of these. Dialogues will somehow not convince the scenarios, especially in the scene where guruji first converse with shiva. And there's not a single shloka of sanskrit, except one explaining the power of brahmastra, being a film based on these type of backgrounds. And it also thrusts a typical bollywood love story intentionally in every other scene, which was not necessary.
3. Pro- Every song is really good, and a certain one will acquire a special place in every other music lover's playlist, that being obviously kesariyaa.
Drawback-But sometimes the placements of these songs to the correct surroundings and atmosphere is not at all good. In the way to varanasi there plays kesariya, but to that situation deva deva would have been suited better.
4. Pro-Logic is not at all a problem to those who watch this film for pure entertainment. Drawback-But as a technical view, there's lot of illogic. This can be one of the important stages of disadvantages that will affect the film. Some major of them have been listed here:
Being the guruji of math, guruji is naturally the most powerful person that has keen observation about the movements of enemies in battles. But bacchan sir sometimes seems to lose that sense of observation.
When junoon attacks the math, bullets are raining towards shiva, and he is in his defensive position rapping up a circle of fire around him and isha. The bullets passing through that fire ring are melting down upon the heat created, but nothing is happening to isha even she is standing beside shiva.
In the scene of nagarjuna being attacked by junoon, nagarjuna requests shiva to carry the part of brahmastra to guruji by saying "please"! Being a guardian of such powerful thing, how can he do that! He should order shiva to take that to guruji, not request. And how can he passes it to a stranger who met him an eve before without testing his sense or goal!
The lifts made throughout the film is quite not good. Actually, its pretty bad. Too much bad.
5. Pro-Sustaining the secrecy in the identity of Dev and Amrita would actually be a plus point up to the very ending, and will make it more suspenseful. Drawback-But junoon could have been far better than the presented way. She had also been made limited to some point, examples include not very strong acting, or not very powerful as expected.
6. Pro-Shiva achieving the control over brahmastra is a very nice strategy to avoid the chaos in the climax, and the slight appearance of agni dev in his powers was a goosebump moment.
Drawback - The way the climax has been done the false fact that brahmastra is way too weak in front of a mere high-school type of love, is definitely a very big non negotiable part. No emotional touch!
7. Pro- The camera settings and angles are way too awesome. There's no drawback to this point. Each and every frame they'd captured is able to precise the story in a connective way.
Overall:-Its quite mixed portion of bad and good.Watchable Movie
