Shah Rukh Khan's 'Dunki' To Get Maximum Screens In Clash With Prabhas-Fronted 'Salaar' In Hindi Belt

Mumbai, December 14 - The Indian box office is gearing up for another round of heavyweight clash between two of the biggest films of the year, Shah Rukh Khan-fronted Dunki, and Prabhas-starrer Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire. In between, there is the Hollywood superhero biggie, "Aquaman 2" along with the mega-blockbuster holdover "Animal" which will be looking to cash in the opportunity during the Christmas weekend. ## Superstar Shah Rukh Khan is coming after two monstrous blockbusters in the form of "Pathaan" and "Jawan", and the expectations are from "Dunki" which marks his maiden collaboration with maverick director Rajkumar Hirani. "Salaar" is directed by Prashanth Neel whose last film "KGF: Chapter 2" was a massive blockbuster, especially in Hindi. ## The Dunki vs Salaar has been termed as the clash of the titans and this is leading to serious negotiations regarding screen sharing, mainly in North India where Prabhas-starrer is a serious challenge to other movies. AA Films will be producing "Salaar" in the Hindi belt and the studio is putting efforts to get the best possible release against "Dunki". ## According to a report by Pinkvilla, "Dunki" will have a big advantage as multiplexes are favouring the first-time combo of SRK-Hirani over other movies during the Christmas weekend. The report says that social comedy will be getting 46% of the total showcasing in the multiplexes, followed by Salaar, which will be around 30% of the overall shows. "Aquaman 2" manages to get 14% showcasing while 10% will go to holdover "Animal".## The aforementioned is the tentative showcasing scenario in the multiplexes with 3 or more screens, but when it comes to two screens or single screens, the showcasing is diverse and varies from region to region. Some places in the mass belts are favouring "Salaar" due to the action quotient, whereas some of the exhibitors are going for "Dunki" to cheer up their Christmas. ## "Dunki" has an obvious advantage over "Salaar" due to the popularity of SRK and Hirani. Ranbir Kapoor Confirms To Headline Nitesh Tiwari's 'Ramayana'; Shoot Begins In March 2024

Mumbai, December 13 - Ranbir Kapoor is on cloud nine after the mega-blockbuster success of his action drama Animal which has crossed 750 crores at the worldwide box office in just 12 days. It has become his highest-grossing film and put him in the elite league of superstars. ## The "Brahmastra" star has now reportedly confirmed his next film and the preparations for the same are said to have begun. It is known to everyone that Ranbir has been in talks with director Nitesh Tiwari to headline epic Ramayana but there was no official confirmation from the makers yet until yesterday when the actor himself reportedly confirmed the development. ## According to a claim made by an X/Twitter user, the Bollywood star has confirmed Ramayana as his next film. Ranbir will be playing the role of lord Ram while Telugu actress Sai Pallavi is roped in for the role of Sita. Kannada superstar Yash to play Raavan in this mega-budgeted epic.## The film is planned as a trilogy and the first film will go on floors by March next year with Ranbir and Sai Pallavi, according to Pinkvilla. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the movie scored 13.12 crores net on its 11th day, pushing the total collection to 401.49 crores in Hindi.## In terms of days, "Animal" is the joint fastest movie ever to enter the 400 crores club with Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan which scored 430.44 crores net in the first 11 days. Sidharth Malhotra Locks Three Films After Dharma Productions' 'Yodha'

Mumbai, December 11 - Actor Sidharth Malhotra, whose last theatrical release was "Thank God" in 2022, is set to headline back-to-back films on the big screens. The actor is awaiting the release of Dharma Productions' action thriller "Yodha" which is scheduled to release in March 2024 after being postponed from December 2023. ## After "Yodha", Sidharth will be doing three more films as things stand today. The actor doing a film, tentatively titled "Spider" to be produced by Maddock Films. Mumbai, December 11 - Ranbir Kapoor-led action drama Animal scored a huge 87.56 crores net collection in Hindi in its second weekend, according to producer T-Series. In all versions, the mega-blockbuster minted approx. 93.70 crores net collection. ## Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Animal fell short of Sunny Deol-fronted "Gadar 2" which remained the biggest second-weekend grosser with approx. 90.50 crores net collection. "Animal", at once, looked like it would not only become the biggest second-weekend grosser but also become the first film to score 100 crores, but the collection on Saturday and Sunday came lower than expected to keep at number 2. ## Animal also scored the 4th biggest second Sunday and the biggest ever for an A-rated film with 33.53 crores net collection in Hindi. Box Office: 'Animal' Scores Record Second Saturday; 'Sam Bahadur' Witnesses Big Jump

Mumbai, December 9 - Ranbir Kapoor-led Animal is proving to be an unstoppable force with its record-breaking run at the box office. After commencing the second weekend with the biggest second Friday ever in Hindi, the action drama has again the biggest second Saturday collection by a huge margin. ## The Sandeep Reddy Vanga's directorial was in full force on its second Saturday and scored an estimated 35 crores net in Hindi and can go up further depending on how strong the jump is in single screens. This takes the total collection of the film to 357+ crores net in Hindi in just 9 days. ## Animal scored an estimated 37-38 crores net in all versions, pushing the total collection in the vicinity of 400 crores net through the second Saturday. Shahid Kapoor's Character Details In Pooja Entertainment's Mythological Epic Revealed

Mumbai, December 9 - Earlier this year, it was reported that Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor would be headlining Pooja Entertainment's mythological film based on the epic Mahabharata. Kannada filmmaker Sachin Ravi, known for directing Rakshit Shetty's action adventure, "Avane Srimannarayana" (2019), was said to be roped in to direct this magnum opus. ## Now, according to a report by Peepingmoon.com, Shahid Kapoor will be playing the role of great warrior Ashwatthama. The numbers are all-time highest for an adult-rated Indian movie and this has set up the stage for another huge weekend at the domestic box office. ## The Ranbir Kapoor-led action drama scored an estimated 25-26 crores net in all versions on its first Thursday. Mumbai, December 5 - Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal had a remarkable first Monday at the domestic box office with actual collection coming much higher than the trade projections and that trend continued on Tuesday as well with the sensational hold once again.## As per the early estimates, the Ranbir Kapoor-led action drama film has the biggest non-holiday first Tuesday ever for a Bollywood movie as it scored an estimated 38 crores net collection on its 5th day. The drop from Monday is around 15-20% but the fact that Monday itself went over the roof the hold today is nothing less than extraordinary. ## In Hindi, Animal scored an estimated around 35-36 crores net on the first Tuesday which takes the total collection to around 283 crores net, including 251+ crores in Hindi in just 5 days. The first week should easily be over 330 crores net before going bang bang again in the second weekend. ## Meanwhile, Sam Bahadur starring Vicky Kaushal held firmly on its first Tuesday with no drop at all which was much needed given that Monday's collection was underwhelming. The drop from the huge Sunday is remarkably under 50% which has consolidated its mega-blockbuster verdict. ## According to early estimates, the Ranbir Kapoor-led action drama is heading for 39-40 crores net collection, making it the biggest non-Holiday Monday ever for an outright Bollywood film. This takes the total net to over 240 crores in all versions.## In Hindi, Animal scored an estimated 36-37 crores net on its first Monday/4th day, pushing the total net to over 212+ crores. Maharashtra remains the top contributor, followed by Delhi and Gujarat. Gujarat particularly performing brilliantly so far.
