A Prequel To Shraddha Kapoor-Fronted Horror-Comedy Blockbuster 'Stree' Is In The Development?

Mumbai, June 19 - Shraddha Kapoor-fronted "Stree" was a huge hit at the box office upon its release in 2018. The movie opened the door to producer Dinesh Vijan's horror-comedy universe which includes "Roohi" and the upcoming "Bhediya". And now, the prequel to "Stree" is reportedly in the development at the Maddock Films studio. ## Shraddha Kapoor has been shooting for Luv Ranjan's untitled romantic comedy with Ranbir Kapoor since January 2021. The movie is in the final leg of the shoot and will be wrapped up soon. According to Peepingmoon.com, Shraddha's next after Luv Ranjan's film will be the prequel to "Stree", which will go on floors in August this year. ## Dinesh Vijan is working on multiple horror comedies and plans to build a cinematic universe around them. After Stree, Roohi, and Bhediya, the team is now working to expand the universe. Vijan's next film in the MHCU tells the backstory of the girl who came to Stree and the complications she brought along. Shaktimaan Movie To Be Made In A Budget of Rs. 300 Crores

Mumbai, June 18 - The iconic television show, "Shaktimaan" was a huge hit when it was first aired in 1997. Mukesh Khanna played the titular superhero character and his alter ego Pandit Gangadhar Vidhyadhar Mayadhar Omkarnath Shastri, a photographer for the newspaper Aaj Ki Aawaz.## The legendary superhero character, which made the childhood of 90s kids awesome, will now be returning to the big screen in the form of the "Shaktimaan" trilogy. Sony Pictures, which is behind the Marvel superhero films like "Spider-Man", and "Venom", hold the rights to the film. ## In a recent conversation with Amar Ujala, Mukesh Khanna shared a few details about the movie and also hint who could play the titular role. The actor, and producer said that it will be made on a huge budget of Rs. 300 crores and will have full desi vibes. ## "This project has come to me after many years. People used to tell me to make Shaktimaan 2. I didn't want to bring Shaktimaan back on TV", Khanna said. "After internal talks, I joined hands with the Sony people and later made the news public. People want to know what’s happening next. Now, what should I tell them? This is a big film of at least Rs 300 crore. Can't tell you much about it till everything is finalized". ## "This movie is being made by the makers of Spider-Man. But, Shaktimaan will be desi. I have prepared the story of the film in my own way. My only condition to them was that they wouldn't change the story", he added. ## Mukhesh Khanna hints that he might turn Shakitmaan again as he feels that the Indian audience will not accept anyone else in this iconic role. "People ask who will become Shaktimaan? This is also a very big question in itself, which I will not answer, but it is also certain that without Mukesh Khanna, there will be no Shaktimaan. Mumbai, June 15 - The last few weeks have been flooded with rumors around Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff's "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" with director Ali Abbas Zafar. It has been reported that the shoot of the film is pushed to next year due to budget issues while there are rumors stating that the film has been shelved. ## Director Ali Abbas Zafar has finally provided clearance on the ongoing chatter about the movie and confirmed that BMCM is well and truly on. He also quashed reports of the postponement of the shoot and said that it will go on the floor by the end of this year as it requires a lot of pre-production work. ## "This is absolutely baseless. Mumbai, June 11 - Samrat Prithviraj starring Akshay Kumar in the titular role has failed at the box office as the film is collecting very low figures on the daily basis. The only positive of the film is that it had a decent run in a few single-screen cinemas.
