Mumbai, June 17 - Superstar Ajay Devgn has now decided to release his upcoming movie "Thank God" on Diwali this year. This comedy-drama movie will also co-star youth sensation Sidharth Malhotra and Rakul Preet Singh.
Last year Superstar Akshay Kumar had also announced that his much-awaited Mythological movie Ram Setu will also release on this big festival weekend. Now two big stars and close friends are all set to give the audiences a double bonanza with two different kinds of movies this Diwali.
However, both of them are lacking a bit of momentum because their last movies tanked at the box office. But Diwali is a big release date and if the movie can entertain the audiences then it is bound to succeed at the box office.
Interestingly Akshay Kumar is all set to face another clash this august too, this time his movie Raksha Bandhan will clash with Superstar Aamir Khan's much-awaited Laal Singh Chaddha this independence day weekend. Both the films are family-oriented and it will be interesting to see which movie will the family audience prefer ahead of the other.
Laal Singh Chaddha is big compared to Raksha Bandhan in terms of production value but that doesn't mean Raksha Bandhan will fall short, it has a fair shot to fight back if the content clicks and we have seen many underdog movies affecting big movies in the past too.
