The Theatrical Trailers of Akshay Kumar's 'Raksha Bandhan' And Ranbir Kapoor-Fronted 'Shamshera' To Be Launched On June 21 & June 24

Mumbai, June 18 - Akshay Kumar is getting ready for his next theatrical release which is "Raksha Bandhan" with director Anand L Rai. The family comedy-drama film based on the bond of brother and sister is slated to release on August 11 this year, taking head-on Aamir Khan's long-awaited "Laal Singh Chaddha".

Khiladi Kumar will begin the promotion of this heartwarming movie with the trailer which will reportedly be launched on June 21 at an event in Mumbai. According to reports, the trailer will be shown to media people followed by a digital launch.



Produced by Colour Yellow Productions and Cape Of Good Films, "Raksha Bandhan" reunites Bhumi Padnekar with Akshay after "Toilet Ek Prem Katha". Akshay Kumar is looking for his first success of 2022 as his previous two movies "Bachchhan Paandey" and "Samrat Prithviraj" didn't do well at the box office. "Raksha Bandhan", despite clashing with LSC, will be released on a perfect occasion of Raksha Bandhan and it will also get benefit from as many as 5 holidays in the opening week.

Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor-fronted "Shamshera" is also getting ready for its theatrical release on July 22 this year. The long-awaited period action drama film will mark Ranbir's big-screen return after more than 4 years and the excitement around this Yash Raj Films' biggie is building up nicely.

Directed by Karan Malhotra, the theatrical trailer of "Shamshera" will be released on June 24, Friday, and will have a 29-day promotion window. The movie is touted to be a visual spectacle and YRF has left no stone unturned to make it a grand cinematic experience. The movie has been delayed multiple times due to the covid-19 pandemic and finally, it is seeing the light of the day. It also stars Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor in prominent roles.
