Mumbai, June 15 - The last few weeks have been flooded with rumors around Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff's "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" with director Ali Abbas Zafar. It has been reported that the shoot of the film is pushed to next year due to budget issues while there are rumors stating that the film has been shelved.
Director Ali Abbas Zafar has finally provided clearance on the ongoing chatter about the movie and confirmed that BMCM is well and truly on. He also quashed reports of the postponement of the shoot and said that it will go on the floor by the end of this year as it requires a lot of pre-production work.
"This is absolutely baseless. We are very much on track and there's no truth to the shelving rumours", Zafar told Hindustan Times.
"We are currently working on the pre-production. I don't know where these rumours are coming from. For a film of this large scale, months of pre-production is needed. We will go on floors by the end of this year or early next year and shoot in the UK", he added.
Bade Miyan Chote Miyan will be produced by Bhagnanis' Pooja Entertainment and Zafar's AAZ films. The title of the film is taken from Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda's 1998 blockbuster film, however, it is not a remake and will be made on an original script.
The movie will have a Pan-India release in five languages - Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam on Christmas 2023.
