'Fast X' Projected To Gross $300+ Million Opening Weekend At The Worldwide Box Office
Los Angeles, May 20 - Universal Pictures' action thriller Fast X is all set to score above the initial box office projections at the worldwide box office. ## The Louis Leterrier's directorial latest installment in the "Fast and Furious" franchise shoot to $28 million Friday opening day, including $7.5 million Thursday previews, at the domestic box office. ## According to Variety, the movie is expected to gross another $22.40 million on Saturday and $16.80 million on Sunday for a $67 million opening weekend. This opening is around 4% lesser than "F9: The Fast Saga" which opened to $70 million in 2021.## Internationally, "Fast X" is estimated to earn over $250 million in its 5-day opening weekend for around $320 million worldwide launch. It will be the second-biggest worldwide opening of 2023, behind "The Super Mario Bros. Movie" which earned over $380 million in its opening weekend.## Meanwhile, the film is having a very good opening weekend in India and is projected to earn $8.40 million/70 crores in 4-days.
