Top 10 Most Popular Indian Movies of 2024 So Far; Prabhas-Fronted 'Kalki 2898 AD' Tops

Mumbai, July 23 - Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted epic blockbuster Kalki 2898 AD is the most popular Indian movie of 2024 so far, as per IMDb. It also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani, in prominent roles.

Directed by Nag Ashwin, the sci-fi epic recently became the 7th Indian movie of all time and the first of 2024 to cross 1000 crores gross collection at the worldwide box office. Released on June 27, it has so far grossed an estimated 1005 crores, including 735 crores in India.



The second most popular Indian title is the all-time Malayalam blockbuster Manjummel Boys. Directed by Chidambaram, it was released on February 22 and went on to become the first Malayalam film ever to top 200 crores at the worldwide box office and is currently the highest-grossing Mollywood title with 241 crores gross.

Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone's aerial action thriller, Fighter takes the third spot in the most popular Indian movies list of 2024. Siddharth Anand's directorial is currently the highest-grossing Bollywood movie of the year with a worldwide gross collection of 350+ crores.

One of the biggest box office blockbusters of the year with a worldwide collection of close to 300 crores gross, director Prasanth Varma's superhero movie, Hanuman is the 4th most popular Indian title, followed by Ajay Devgn's horror-thriller, Shaitaan as 5th in the list. It scored over 210 crores worldwide and is one of the biggest Bollywood successes of the year.



The 6th most popular Indian movie of 2024 is Aamir Khan's Production venture, Laapataa Ladies, followed by Yami Gautam's Article 370, Malayalam blockbuster Premalu is 7th and 8th in the list, respectively, while Fahadh Faasil's Aavesham (4th highest Malayalam grosser) and horror-comedy Munjya are the 9th and 10th most popular titles.

Note:- Of all the movies released in India between January 1, 2024, and July 10, 2024, that have an average IMDb user rating of 6 or higher with at least 10,000 votes, these titles were consistently the most popular with IMDb users, as determined by the actual page views of the more than 250 million monthly visitors to IMDb worldwide.
