Hyderabad, July 6, 2021: Actress Taapsee Pannu, who started her acting career with the Telugu movie, Jhummandi Naadam, will be returning to headline another interesting project titled, Mishan Impossible, after two years of Telugu-Tamil bilingual movie, Game Over. ## Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya director Swaroop RSJ, will be directing Taapsee's new Telugu film. Produced by Niranjan Reddy and Anvesh Reddy under the banner Matinee Entertainment, the film will be set in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, and will revolve around bounty hunters. ## "From the last seven years, I've been on the lookout for stories that I want to see myself as an audience. Mishan Impossible is one such film. The impressive storyline and a good team like Matinee Entertainments backing it are most important for me to greenlit a film. Mumbai, July 6, 2021: After Gully Boy, Bollywood's energetic stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt will be reuniting in a romantic-comedy film titled, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The movie will be directed by Karan Johar, who marks his comeback in film direction after 5 years. His last directorial film was Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. ## The film, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, was supposed to be announced last year but due to the covid-19 pandemic, the makers delayed the announcement. The movie features Ranveer and Alia as Rocky and Rani, which is said to revolve around family values and love. It will be produced by Hiroo Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Karan Johar under the banner of Dharma Productions while Ishita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan, and Sumit Roy have written the script. ## Jaya Bachchan, who has worked with Karan before in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham and Kal Ho Na Ho, will be playing Ranveer Singh's grandmother while Shabana Azmi and Dharmendra are also coming together for the second time after Mardon Wali Baat in 1988. After collaborating with Rai for "Atrangi Re", Sara has reportadly been cast to play the titular role in the filmmaker's next film, tentatively titled, Nakhrewali. ## The young talented actress has already completed, Atrangi Re, which also stars Akshay Kumar and Dhanush in the lead roles. Anand L Rai has directed and co-produced this romantic drama film. It is reported that Rai and Sara had a great experience working on the sets of Atrangi Re, which is going to be a great cinematic experience once it comes out. ## "Sara has now been approached for Rai's next production film which is titled 'Nakhrewali'. She will be seen essaying the titular role. It is definitely going to be an out-and-out entertainer", said a source according to TOI. Rai will not be directing the film. ## Sara was last seen in David Dhawan's "Coolie No. 1", in which she shared screen space with Varun Dhawan. Hyderabad, July 5, 2021: On his 43rd birthday today, Telugu star Nandamuri Kalyan Ram announced his first Pan-India film. The actor will be starring in & as Devil, a dark mystery film directed by Naveen Medaram and produced by Abhishek Nama under the Abhishek Pictures banner. ## The film, written by Pushpa writer Srikanth Vissa, will depict an unwritten chapter from history with Nandamuri portraying a secret agent named Devil. The makers also released the first look poster of Kalyan Ram from the film, in which he can be seen in a blazer and waistcoat paired with a dhoti and he holds a short gun in his hand. ## The actor underwent a remarkable transformation to play the British Secret Agent and his dressing and look are in perfect sync with the trend in the 40s. The story dates back to 1945 and is set in the backdrop of Madras Residency Of British India. ## Harshavardhan Rameshwar scores music for the film, which will release in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, and Kannada languages. Mumbai, July 5, 2021: Bollywood's love affair with remakes is not hidden from audiences. The largest film industry in the country, Bollywood has mastered adapting films from different languages - be it regional or international, and also able to give them a Bollywood touch to lure the Hindi audiences. ## In the last one and a half-decade, Bollywood stars have done films like Ghajini, Gabbar Is Back, Force, Singham, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, Simmba, Son of Sardaar, Wanted, Rowdy Rathore, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, Kabir Singh, and Baaghi, which all are remakes of Tamil and Telugu films but proved to be some of the highest grosser of its respective release years. ## Even though the Hindi filmmakers have often been criticized for the lack of fresh ideas, they continued to acquire the Hindi remakes of other languages. And it looks like they have no plan to stop adapting good films into Hindi anytime soon, even though the audience likly to invest in fresh content as the covid-19 pandemic might have made them more opinionated than before. ## Well, opinion aside, Bollywood filmmakers still believe that the Hindi audience's interest in the remake hasn't waned yet and they will watch whenever they get a chance. It is a remake of the 2019 Telugu movie of the same name starring Nani in the lead role. Ajay Devgn is also doing the Hindi version of the 2019 Tamil action thriller film, Kaithi. Ajay in association with Dil Raju also acquired the remake rights of the 2021 Telugu hit, Naandhi. ## Recently, it was revealed that Akshay Kumar's next film with Bell Bottom makers is the remake of the 2018 Tamil psychological crime thriller film, Ratsasan. Last year, John Abraham had bought the rights to the 2020 Malayalam thriller film Ayyappanum Koshiyum, in which he will also be starring alongside Abhishek Bachchan. ## Acclaimed filmmaker, S Shankar announced that he will be remaking his own 2005 Tamil film, Anniyan in Hindi with Ranveer Singh playing the lead role. The film will mark Shankar's return to Hindi films twenty years after his only Hindi directorial, Nayak (2001) that starred Anil Kapoor in the lead. Salman Khan is said to be starring the Hindi remake. ## There are some reports claiming that Salman Khan has bought the Hindi remake rights of Ravi Teja's upcoming film, Khiladi. Boney Kapoor is remaking the 2021 Malayalam political thriller, One along with 'Helen' with his daughter Janhavi Kapoor in the lead, followed by the 2019 Tamil film 'Comali' with his son Arjun Kapoor. ## The time and cinema viewing might have changed for others, it is still hasn't changed much for Hindi filmmakers when it comes to remakes. Mumbai, July 5, 2021: It is raining remakes in the Bollywood film industry. Having already dozens of remakes in the making, filmmaker Ekta Kapoor has locked one more Hindi remake. She will be producing the Hindi remake of the 2016 Kannada supernatural thriller film, U-Turn, which starred Shraddha Srinath in the lead role. ## The Hindi remake will be headed by Aalia Furniturewalla, who made a smashing debut with the 2020 comedy-drama film, Jawaani Jaaneman. U-Turn remake will be Alaya F's only second film that will be directed by debutante Arif Khan. The supernatural thriller film will be backed by Cult Movies, a new division launched under Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms while the shooting will commence on July 6 in Mumbai. ## Speaking about Alyay's role in the film, producer Ekta Kapoor said, "Alaya was fantastic in her debut film. There's a self-assured yet vulnerable quality to her that I believe can connect with audiences. U-Turn takes you on a ride with twists and turns galore, and provides edge-of-the-seat excitement". ## Alaya, too, is delighted about the opportunity that has come her way. The talented star kid shared that working with Ekta so early in her career is very exciting, especially since the project is so interesting. Alaya went on to add, "I feel responsible to be given the task to drive such an intriguing story". ## The plot of the film revolves around the death of motorists who break a traffic rule at a particular flyover in Bangalore and subsequent pinning down of the culprit by an intern journalist and police inspector duo. U-Turn has already been remade in multiple Indian and international languages. ## The film was remade in Malayalam in 2017 as Careful. It was later remade into a Telugu-Tamil bilingual in 2018 with Samantha Akkineni in the lead role. The film was also officially remade in Sri Lanka in Sinhala in 2019 with the same title. She already has several films in the pipeline across languages in form of Dobaaraa, Looop Lapeta, Annabelle Subramaniam, Shabaash Mithu, among others. The Thappad actress has reportadly signed one more film recently with BA Pass and Section 375 director Ajay Bahl. ## While the official confirmation is yet to be made, Taapsee's film with Bahl is said to be a Hindi remake of the 2010 Spanish horror thriller, Julia's Eyes, directed by Guillem Morales. Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota actor Gulshan Devaiah has also been roped in to play one of the male leads in the film that is expected to roll out from 20th July in Nainital. ## According to reports, Taapsee will be stepping into the shoes of Belen Rueda and play a visually impaired twin sister in this mystery drama while the details of Gulshan's character have been kept under wraps. Ajay Bahl is re-writing the script with other writers keeping the Indian audience in mind, and they said to make some changes in the script. ## Taapsee will reportadly be playing the role of a woman who's suffering from degenerative eye disease in this yet-untitled thriller. Defined as a fascinating, broken-backed picture full of riveting twists and dubious psychology, the film tells the story of a woman who's slowly losing her sight whilst trying to investigate the mysterious death of her twin sister. ## Producer Pranjal Khandhdiya (Mango Purple Media Network) who's backing Taapsee's upcoming sports drama Rashmi Rocket will be producing it in association with Zee Studios. Taapsee was supposed to finish Mithali Raj's biopic, but it is now said that she will be complete Ajay Bahl's film first then move to her next film. ## Stay tuned...
