Keerthy Suresh To Play Chiranjeevi's Sister In Telugu Movie 'Bhola Shankar'

Hyderabad, August 22, 2021: On the occasion of Megastar Chiranjeevi's 66th birthday, the makers unveiled the title of his upcoming film as "Bhola Shankar". The movie is said to be the Telugu remake of Thala Ajith's Vedalam, in which, Chiranjeevi will reprise Ajith's role. ## A couple of hours later, makers revealed that Keerthy Suresh will play the role of Chiranjeevi's sister in the film. The makers unveiled a video on Chiranjeevi's birthday, which also happens to be Raksha Bandhan 2021, in which, Keerthy Suresh is tying Rakhee to Chiranjeevi. The actress will be stepping into the shoes of Lakshmi Menon of the original Tamil movie. ## Keerthy took to Twitter and shared the video saying, "I take this auspicious occasion to wish you a very Happy Birthday @KChiruTweets sir! Directed by Vikas Bahl, the movie will be hitting worldwide theaters on December 23, 2022, i.e, on Christmas. The film reunites Tiger and Kriti for the first time since their Hindi debut together with Heropanti. ## Tiger shared the announcement with an action-packed video in Ganapath style as he flaunts his ripped avatar as he revealed that he only listens to his 'baaps' that include God and people. The Hindi remake will reportadly reunite Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon after Luka Chuppi. ## Kartik had been finalized since some time while Kriti Sanon was juggling with dates for the film in question. The movie, which will be directed by Rohit Dhawan, was expected to kick-off in June this year but that didn't happen due to various issues. ## Now, according to the latest reports, Kriti has confirmed her availability for the movie and the movie is set to go on floors by November this year. The makers were said to be in talks with two other actresses in the last few months but those talks have all been closed now after Kriti's nod. ## The Hindi remake will see Kartik and Kriti stepping into the shoes of Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde. Melbourne, August 20, 2021: The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) announced its winners for its 12th edition, which was held virtually on August 20 (Friday). This year's festival had a line-up of feature and short films from across India, representing the theme of diversity through cinema.## Pankaj Tripathi, who has been winning accolades for his versatility in films and web shows, was honored with the Diversity in Cinema Award presented by LaTrobe University. On winning the award, Pankaj Tripathi said, "This award is special for me, I'm humbled and it's really inspiring for me, my craft. The man who is here to give me this award, he is the one who discovered my talent. So thanks to Anurag Kashyap sir. He is the one who rediscovered my talent. I’m grateful to all my directors, writers for having me part of their projects". ## Tamil film Soorarai Pottru walked away with the Best Feature Film and Suriya won the Best Actor award for the same. Soorarai Pattru was released last year on Amazon Prime Video and has been winning accolades around the world since. It is also the highest-rated Indian movie on IMDb and the third-highest worldwide with a rating of 9.1. ## Suriya, on his part, thanked his fans and Soorarai Pottru director Sudha Kongara, saying, "I'm sure all the nominees have given their best. This film is very special, and this is the first award I'm getting for this film. Thanks to all the fans who have given us so much love. In my career, I felt bored with what I was doing after having worked for 20 years. So thanks to my director Sudha — this film was her 10 years dream — she worked four years on writing or his film. The movie, which marks comic superhero Shang Chi in Marvel, will release with on September 3 in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada in 3D and IMAX. ## Shang-Chi and The Legend Of The Ten Rings is the first Asian superhero film. The movie is touted to be a historical moment in MCU as it is the first Marvel film to feature an all-Asian and Asian-American cast.
