Nagarjuna And Naga Chaitanya Begins Filming Of Blockbuster 'Soggade Chinni Nayana's' Prequel 'Bangaraju'

Hyderabad, August 25, 2021: Superstar Nagarjuna-led Bangaraju has started filming today in Hyderabad. The actor team up with his son Naga Chaitanya in this prequel to the 2016 supernatural drama film, Soggade Chinni Nayana. The father-son duo teaming up together for the second time after the fantasy-drama film, Manam (2014). ## Bangaraju also stars Ramya Krishna and Uppena fame Krithi Shetty in the female lead. Nagarjuna and Ramya Krishna have appeared together in several films and they were captivated with their beautiful chemistry in Soggade Chinni Nayana. Krithi, on the other hand, will be sharing screen space with all three other leads in the movie. ## The movie was launched last week with the Pooja ceremony in Hyderabad while the regular shoot has commenced today. It is being helmed by Kalyan Krishna, who also had directed the original movie as well as Ravi Teja's Nela Ticket. ## Zee Studios is co-producing the film in association with Nagarjuna's Annapurna Studios. Anoop Rubens is the music director while Yuvaraj takes care of the camera department. Chennai, August 25, 2021: South Indian actress Samantha Akkineni made her Hindi debut with Raj & DK's web series, The Family Man 2. While the actress received global appreciation for her act, she also came under serious criticism for portraying a Tamil rebellion called Razi in the Amazon Prime Video series. ## The Tamil Nadu government had urged the Centre to ban the show after the trailer was released. Tamil Nadu's IT Minister T Mano Thangaraj had written a letter that said that the series "not only hurt the sentiments of Eelam Tamils but also the feelings of the people of Tamil Nadu". The actress faced accusations for negatively portraying the Tamil Eelam.## However, after the show was released, many people changed their mind and appreciate Samantha for playing that role. But she is continuing to receive criticism from a certain group of people which led the actress to apologizes to them for unintentionally hurting their sentiments. ## Without addressing the topic herself but responding to the criticism, the Majili actress said in an interview with Bollywood Hungama, "I allow people to have their own opinions. If they decided to stay with that opinion, I am very sorry for hurting anyone's sentiments. I sincerely apologize as it was not something I intended on doing at all". ## "I did not mean to hurt anyone. So, if I did, I am extremely sorry. I am glad that, though, once the show did release, a lot of the noise stopped. I guess some saw it wasn't so bad after all. Chennai, August 25, 2021: After producing an anthology film, Navarasa on Netflix, filmmaker Mani Ratnam along with top Tamil directors Shankar, AR Murugadoss, Vetrimaaran, Gautham Menon, Mysskin, and others are reuniting to produce a feature film under the new production banner Rain On Films. ## The yet-untitled feature film will mark Rain On Films' debut production and it will be directed by Lokesh Kangaraj. Through Rain On Films production house, these filmmakers aim to produce interesting films, web shows, and OTT originals as many OTT platforms want big names to grab the attraction of the audiences. ## According to a report in sify.com, these mentioned directors want to set up a revenue model on par with leading corporate production houses in Hollywood and Bollywood. Mumbai, August 25, 2021: Yash Raj Films' period action drama "Shamshera" is one of the few movies ready for release for a long time now. The movie stars Ranbir Kapoor in the title role with Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt portraying the antagonist. ## Directed by Karan Malhotra, Shamshera was ready for release in theaters in 2020 but due to the covid-19 pandemic, it got postponed. Later, it was announced the 25 June 2021 release, but again, the second wave of the pandemic spoilt all the plans. There is chaos to release movies directly on OTT as theaters are yet to fully operational. ## Vaani, however, insists that Shamshera is a film meant for theatrical experience and will release only with 100 percent occupancy in the cinema halls. ## "It will release when the things fully normalize. It is meant for a theatrical experience. I have seen the film, and it's looking beautiful. It's brilliantly made. I am not saying because I am in it, but to see Ranbir Kapoor in this part is very refreshing", Vaani said to Pinkvilla. ## "I loved Karan Malhotra's Agneepath too. He has made a film which provides entertainment to all segment people, all kinds of audiences. The makers are waiting for the right time when one has 100 percent occupancy in theatres. It's a kind of film that requires the theatrical experience", she added. ## It is the first time Vaani is sharing screen space with both Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt. The actress was recently seen alongside Akshay Kumar in the spy thriller movie, Bell Bottom, which was released in theaters on August 19. It is said to be the Telugu remake of the Tamil movie Vedalam starring Thala Ajith. Chiranjeevi will be stepping into the shoes of Ajith in Bhola Shankar while Keerthy Suresh confirmed to star as his sister in the movie. ## Bhola Shankar will be directed by Meher Ramesh and this marks his first collaboration with the megastar.
