Chennai, August 25, 2021: After producing an anthology film, Navarasa on Netflix, filmmaker Mani Ratnam along with top Tamil directors Shankar, AR Murugadoss, Vetrimaaran, Gautham Menon, Mysskin, and others are reuniting to produce a feature film under the new production banner Rain On Films.
The yet-untitled feature film will mark Rain On Films' debut production and it will be directed by Lokesh Kangaraj. Through Rain On Films production house, these filmmakers aim to produce interesting films, web shows, and OTT originals as many OTT platforms want big names to grab the attraction of the audiences.
According to a report in sify.com, these mentioned directors want to set up a revenue model on par with leading corporate production houses in Hollywood and Bollywood. As Lokesh Kanagaraj is making films with top league actors, they feel that he is the right one to direct their debut production venture.
Lokesh is currently busy with the shoot of Kamal Haasan's multistarrer film Vikram, which also features Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil in the lead roles.
