Hyderabad, December 11, 20212: Telugu superstar Pawan Kalyan is on a roll. Two years ago in September 2020, Pawan Kalyan announced his collaboration with director Harish Shankar, and one year later, the movie was titled "Bhavadeeyudu Bhagat Singh". However, due to some issues, the film couldn't go on floors and was reportedly shelved. ## Now, the due have collaborated for a new film that has been titled Ustaad Bhagat Singh. The movie looks in line with the previously announced title, but reports say the script is entirely new and it will feature Pawan Kalyan in the never before seen avatar.## Mythri Movie Makers, which is producing this film, took to Twitter and announced the title with the first look poster. Los Angeles, September 9, 2021: Marvel Studios' "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" has achieved what the fellow Marvel movie "Black Widow" couldn't achieve. With a backing of solid critics and audiences reviews, "Shang-Chi", has stormed past $100 million domestic box office in just 5 days, becoming the fastest to reach the milestone during the covid-19 pandemic. ## After nabbing a massive $19.4 million on Monday, the Simu Liu/Awkwafina/Tony Leung/Michelle Leung starrer collected another approx $6.90 million on Tuesday, helping itself to cross the rare $100 million at the North America box office amid the pandemic. After Tuesday's collection, "Shang-Chi" stands at approx $101.50 million.## The Scarlett Johansson fronted "Black Widow" took 6 days to reach the $100 million, however, it was also available on Disney+ at the same time as it was running in theaters. Chennai, September 8, 2021: Earlier in July this year, Suriya starrer critically acclaimed and widely appreciated Tamil film, Soorarai Pottru was confirmed to be remade in Hindi. Suriya's 2D Entertainment joined hands with Vikram Malhotra's Abundantia Entertainment to produce the Hindi remake of this monster digital hit. ## Soon after the Hindi remake was announced, the movie hit a roadblock after Guneet Monga's Sikhya Entertainment, who had co-produced the film in Tamil along with Suriya's 2D Entertainment, had approached the court and requested a stay on the film's remake. The judge had granted an injunction and advised both the team to find out a friendly solution. ## And now, nearly after two months, the case came up for hearing on Wednesday (September 8) and the Madras High Court vacated the injunction granted to Sikhya Entertainment. With this judgment, the Hindi remake of Soorarai Pottru gets clearance to go ahead and the makers can now resume work on this film. ## Sudha Kongara, who has directed the original film, will also direct the Hindi version of the film. It will be produced by Vikram Malhotra's Abundantia Ent in association with Suriya's 2D Entertainment. Soorarai Pottru' was based on the life story of Air Deccan founder GR Gopinath. Mumbai, September 8, 2021: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the Team India squad for the Men's T20 World Cup. The big news is that ace spinner R Ashwin has returned to the 15-member squad while the wrist-spin duo of Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav have been left out for the multi-team event to be held in UAE. ## Ashwin last played a T20I in July 2017 against the West Indies. He captained the Punjab team in the IPL in the 2018 and 2019 seasons and Delhi Capitals in 2020. Directed by Kabir Khan, "83" has an ensemble cast including Punjabi singer-actor, Harrdy Sandhu, who will be seen portraying the role of former cricketer Madan Lal. ## Sandhu, who played cricket for over a decade as a fast bowler before an elbow injury forced him to give up this game in 2007, said that seeing the release of the movie getting delayed every few months impacts all. However, he stated that the team of "83" is ready to wait a little longer until the cinema returns to its regular capacity. ## "We've put in so much hard work and love into '83', and seeing its release delayed every few months does impact all of us but we also understand it's for the safety of our fans", Sandhu said in a chat with IANS on his 35th birthday. ## The singer-actor added, "We want our audience to enjoy every second of the movie and if we have to wait for it a little longer until operations return to their regular capacity, it doesn't upset us at all". ## "83" traces the story of India's first-ever cricket World Cup victory in 1983 under the leadership of former Indian captain Kapil Dev, played by Ranveer Singh. Despite getting delayed, Sandhu strongly believes that the film deserves a theatrical release, and only Reliance Entertainment and director Kabir Khan can give an exact release date. ## The movie was earlier scheduled for theatrical release on 10 April 2020 but was pushed to 25 December 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, in November 2020, the film was again delayed to the first quarter of 2021 by makers seeing the worst occupancy report of audience towards theatres owing to the continuity of pandemic. ## It is jointly produced by Kabir Khan, Vishnuvardhan Induri, Deepika Padukone, and Sajid Nadiadwala and co-distributed by Reliance Entertainment. Los Angeles, September 7, 2021: Marvel Studios' latest superhero movie, "Shang-Chi And The Legend of the Ten Rings" box office outcome may have changed Disney's plans to release future MCU movies during the covid-19 pandemic. So far, Disney has taken a simultaneous duel route (except Shang-Chi) for its movies (during this pandemic) in theaters and on Disney Plus. ## The Simu Liu fronted "Shang-Chi" smashed domestic box office records and performed way better than it was anticipated. The first Asian Marvel superhero, "Shang-Chi" has posted the second-biggest three-day debut of the pandemic year so far with approx $75 million at the domestic (North America) box office.## The Destin Daniel Cretton directorial is racing towards $100 million domestic gross sooner than expected after it crashed the record for Labor Day openings with a four-day haul (Fri-Mon) of $94.7 million. In other words, "Shang-Chi" earned at least $25 - $30 million more than it was predicted in the opening weekend. It is the biggest 4-day haul for any Hollywood movie during the pandemic at the domestic box office. The previous best was "Black Widow", which earned $87.5M over the first 4 days.## Globally, "Shang-Chi" has grossed an estimated $130 million after opening up in key markets such as France, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, Japan, Korea, Brazil, Mexico, and India. This Scarlett Johansson starrer earned $80.3 million in the first weekend and is currently the highest grosser Hollywood pic at the North America box office. ## "Shang-Chi" centers on a former assassin who must contend with the legacy of his evil father and the crime syndicate he operates. It’s the first Marvel movie to have an Asian superhero as its protagonist. Mumbai, September 6, 2021: National award-winning filmmaker, Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri has penned down a hard-hitting note to the Bollywood leaders, who remain silent as cinemas are closed in Maharashtra. The Tashkent Files director, in an open letter, urged Bollywood leaders to stand up and ensure that government listens and opens up cinemas. ## Theaters in Maharashtra are closed since April 2021, even though, most of the States have allowed theaters to operate. Vivek Agnihotri, in his letter, highlights the unjustified closure of cinema halls in the biggest movie market for Hindi films. He also mentioned that because of the silence of B-towners and the rise of OTTs, the Hindi film industry is going through an existential crisis. ## The filmmaker note down key points, referring to Bollywood artists and filmmakers, as follows - ## 1. You have earned hundreds of crores from your films which released in theaters.## 2. You have earned hundreds of crores because people paid for your movies.## 3. You are leader because you earned hundreds of crore and have a clout, experience, money and power.## 4. You can not just keep the perks of being a leader/star and keep quiet when there is a crisis. You know Bollywood is also the soft power of India.## 5. You know that Bollywood going through an existential crisis for three reasons: a] Locked theaters b] OTTs, and c] Public anger towards you.## 6. Imagine you are a big corporation and your brand faces the same situation. Will you go in hiding and wait for the situation to improve or you will firefight it?## 7. You haven't done anything except for keeping quiet and let destiny take its course. The general assumption in the industry is that people are dumb and they will again fall at the feet of the stars or at the box office as soon as movies release again. You are absolutely wrong and myopic.## 8. This is the real test of your creative integrity. The world is watching whether you are going to fight to save cinema or you'll do it only when your film is stuck.## 9, I hope you realize that because of your inaction, almost all Indian content is slowly being owned by just 3-4 American corporations. Soon, there will be no Indian content. This is how East India Company took over India. I am not saying this will happen but 'something like this is already happening.
