Mumbai, February 11 - The south Indian films are expanding their wings and announcing simultaneous Hindi theatrical releases. After the blockbuster success of Allu Arjun's "Pushpa - The Rise", Tamil biggies, "Valimai" and "Etharkkum Thunindhavan" were also announced for Hindi dubbed release while Ravi Teja's Telugu movie "Khiladi" is currently playing in theaters also in Hindi. ## Keeping the trend going, the makers of Pawan Kalyan and Ran Daggubati-starrer "Bheemla Nayak" are also gearing up to release the film in the Hindi dubbed version along with the original Telugu language. Producer Suryadevara Naga Vamsi confirms the Hindi release of the most-anticipated movie. ## In one of his recent interviews, when Naga Vamsi was quizzed about "Bheemla Nayak", he said, "I am confident that the movie will be a super hit. That is why we have opted for its Hindi release as well".## "Though Bheemla Nayak is an adaptation of Malayalam movie, Ayyappanum Koshiyum, the audience will be thoroughly entertained. We have taken the storyline from the original movie. Our writer Trivikram Srinivas has done a fantastic job in the script work", Naga Vamsi explained.## Directed by Sagar K Chandra, "Bheemla Nayak" marks Pawan Kalyan and Rana Daggubati's maiden collaboration. The movie also stars Nithya Menen and Samyukta Menon as the female leads. He is also filming for director Nag Ashwin's big-budget sci-fi film, tentatively titled "Project K", co-starring Amitabha Bachchan and Deepika Padukone. ## Meanwhile, the "Saaho" actor will team up with Telugu director Maruthi for a fun romantic entertainer. It is said that Prabhas will launch Maruthi's film in April or May this year, and will shoot for it in a quick time. Mumbai, February 8 - The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced the nominees for the 94th Academy Awards on Tuesday (Feb. 8), and it brought disappointment to India, despite hopes from fans and the filmmakers behind it.## India's Tamil movie, "Jai Bhim", starring Suriya, was in the race to get the nomination in the Best International Feature Film category. The hope increased when Awards Editor for Rotten Tomatoes, Jacqueline Coley bid for "Jai Bhim" to get a nod for Best Picture nominations. However, the drama film based on real-life incidents, couldn't make it to the list. ## The movies that are nominated for Best International Feature Film, include - "Drive My Car" (Japan), "Flee" (Denmark), "The Hand of God" (Italy), "Lunana: A Yak In The Classroom" (Bhutan), and "The Worst Person In The World" (Norway). ## Meanwhile, the other film that was supposed to make it into the Best Feature Film category, Marvel/Sony's global blockbuster, "Spider-Man: No Way Home", also couldn't find a spot in the nominations. No Way Home was considered a long shot in the best picture race, and Marvel/Sony even started a campaign for Oscars nod over its box office success.## "Spider-Man: No Way Home" is currently playing in theaters and has so far grossed over $1.77 billion globally, there was hope that the Academy would recognize it for helping reinvigorate theater-going. However, despite falling short in the best picture race, "No Way Home" has been nominated in the Best Visual Effect category along with Marvel Studios' "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings".## Films based on comic books have often been ignored at the Oscars in the Best Picture category. However, things have changed in the last couple of years. Marvel Studios' "Black Panther" (2018) and Warner Bros' DC film "Joker" (2019) were nominated for best picture. J. Gnanavel, is based on a true incident in 1995, which involves a case fought by Justice K. Chandru, played by Suriya in the movie. It revolves around the lives of Sengeni and Rajakannu, a couple from the Irular tribe. Rajakannu was arrested by the police and was later missing from the police station. Sengeni seeks the help of an advocate Chandru to seek justice for her husband. Chandru files a habeas corpus case and he refers to the Rajan case to continue further to find the truth. ## Released on Amazon Prime Video on 2 November 2021, "Jai Bhim" received critical acclaim. It is produced by Jyothika and Suriya under 2D Entertainment and also stars Lijomol Jose, Manikandan, Rajisha Vijayan, Prakash Raj, Rao Ramesh, among others in key roles.
