Los Angeles, July 20 - Tom Cruise's action thriller Top Gun Maverick continues its record-breaking spree at the box office, despite running in its 8th week. ## Directed by Joseph Kosinski, "Top Gun 2" recently surpassed the initial box office record of James Cameron's "Titanic and now, the blockbuster sequel has stormed into top 10 highest-grossing films of all time at the North American box office by crossing "Star Wars: The Last Jedi". ## "Star Wars: The Last Jedi", which was released in 2017, scored $620.2 million in North America. The Tom Cruise-starrer movie grossed $620.10 million through Monday. As per the estimates, the movie stands at $622 million, including the collection on Tuesday (July 19). ## The highest-grossing film of Tom Cruise's career will not stop by surpassing "Star Wars TLJ" only. Today, it will cross "The Avengers" ($623.4M) to become the 9th highest-grossing movie in Hollywood history. The movie is currently tracking to earn over $660 million in its lifetime domestic run, which will make it the 7th highest-grossing film in North America. ## Meanwhile, the Paramount Pictures film is super strong at the overseas box office as well with a collection to date is $620.6 million, for a worldwide total of $1.24 billion. The actor is now looking to set up his future projects. ## Shahid Kapoor already has Ali Abbas Zafar's action thriller film, tentatively titled "Bloody Daddy", and now, according to the latest reports, the "Kabir Singh" star has signed on to producer Dinesh Vijan's next film, which is a unique love story. ## According to a Pinkvilla report, Shahid Kapoor and Dinesh Vijan have been discussing the project for some time now and finally coming together for the first time. The actor has loved a subject and already signed the dotted lines. The movie is slated to go on floors later this year and will release in the second half of 2023. ## The yet untitled upcoming film is touted to be the biggest love story yet for Vijan's Maddock Films and will be shot in multiple locations in India and abroad. Mumbai, July 19 - The year 2023 could script the biggest comeback ever in Indian cinema as superstar Shah Rukh Khan is coming to rule the box office again with not just one but three films. ## The Badshah of Bollywood will be headlining his first film in more than 4 years in the form of Pathaan with director Sidharth Anand, followed by Atlee's Jawan, and by the end of the year, he will be seen in director Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki. All three movies will be made on huge budgets and thus, these movies are carrying a lot of anticipation. ## According to Ormax Cinematix, "Pathaan" is currently the most-awaited Hindi film, followed by Akshay Kumar's Ram Setu, which opens this Diwali. Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan's Vikram Vedha is the third most anticipated movie at the moment followed by Prabhas-fronted Adipurush, and SRK's "Jawan" at number 4 and 5 respectively. ## In the top five most-awaited Hindi films, King Khan has two films, which shows that audience is so looking forward to watching the superstar on the big screen after a long time. Fahadh Faasil Hints At Third Part of Allu Arjun's 'Pushpa'

Hyderabad, July 19 - Director Sukumar is preparing to start the shoot of the highly-anticipated Pan India movie, Pushpa - The Rule, starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil. The movie will be the continuation of the first part, Pushpa - The Rise, which became a huge hit at the box office. ## Fahadh Faasil, who is featured towards the end of the first part, will be the center stage of "Pushpa 2" as he is playing a main negative role. Now, the actor has hinted that there could be 3rd part of the movie as well and he has been asked to prepare for that. ## During a recent interview, Fahadh Faasil revealed that the makers had originally planned to complete the film in just one part, however, the makers later decided to split it into two parts. Revealing further, the "Vikram" actor said that during his recent talk with Sukumar, he has been asked to prepare for the third part as well because the director has enough material the take the story forward. ## Director Sukumar has taken enough time to relook at the script of "Pushpa 2" after the first part became a huge commercial success. "Pushpa 2" will reportedly have one more villain and reports say that the makers have approached Vijay Sethupathi to play that role. There have reportedly been meetings between the two over the last few months but nothing was made official. ## According to the latest reports, Mythri Movie Makers is moving ahead with its collaboration with Salman Khan and has reportedly signed talk of the town, Lokesh Kanagaraj. Lokesh has become a star director already in his young career of just 4 films. ## It is said that recently when Salman Khan was in Hyderabad for the shooting of "Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali" had a meeting with Lokesh Kanagaraj and Mythri Movie Makers. During their meeting, the trio reportedly discussed a probable collaboration and have spoken about bouncing back on the idea once both Salman and Lokesh complete their present commitments, according to Bollywood Hungama. ## Earlier, the Hindi remake, to be produced by Murad Khetani, of Thalapathy Vijay's "Master" was offered to Salman Khan, however, he rejected it after initially showing interest in it. Mumbai, July 18 - Filmmaker Ayan Mukerji has been working on the Brahmastra film trilogy, of which, the first movie Brahmastra Part One: Shiva, is gearing up for its worldwide theatrical release on September 9, 2022. It stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles along with Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy. ## The first film of the "Brahmastra" trilogy has multiple cameos including Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. Deepika will reportedly be featured in the climax of the first part and it will set the stage for Part 2. Now, according to the latest reports, the actress has been signed on to play the lead role of Parvati in "Brahmastra 2", which might take off by the end of 2023. ## According to Pinkvilla, "The makers have locked Deepika Padukone to play the character of Parvati. In fact, Deepika will also make a cameo towards the end of Brahmastra, which will eventually take the film into the second part". ## "Brahmastra 2" will be the continuation of the First Part and Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, who play Shiva and Isha, will reprise their roles in the second part as well. However, the future of "Brahmastra 2" will depend a lot on the outcome of the first part, which has reportedly been made on a budget of around 400 crores. ## The movie is a fantasy adventure, based on mythology. Mumbai, July 18 - Marvel Studios has another winner in its hands as its latest superhero tentpole Thor: Love and Thunder has crossed $500 million worldwide box office.## The Taika Waititi-directed movie scored $505 million worldwide after making $60 million overseas and $46 million at the domestic (North America) box office on the second weekend. The pace of the movie at the box office, however, is slow as compared to the recent blockbusters, thanks to the average reviews from critics and audiences. ## At the North American box office, "Thor 4" has grossed $239.2 million while overseas, it has managed to score $266 million so far. The United Kingdom is leading its international charge with $25 million so far, followed by Australia ($22M), and Korea ($21M). India continues to be the 5th biggest international contributor to the movie. ## The Chris Hemsworth-starrer film has grossed 116 crores ($14.5M) in 11 days or through the second Sunday. It is currently the second highest-grossing Hollywood movie at the Indian box office in 2022, after its fellow Marvel movie "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of the Madness" ($20.2M). The word of mouth among the Indian audiences for "Thor 4" is decent, but the brand Thor and Marvel come to the rescue again to deliver another Marvel hit in India. ## The stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor alongside Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, Tessa Thompson, Jaimie Alexander, Waititi, and Russell Crowe, along with "Guardians of the Galaxy" stars in key roles.
