Mumbai, May 30 - After the massive response to Jai Shri Ram song a week ago, the new song Ram Siya Ram from director Om Raut's Adipurush was launched yesterday, and as expected, it turned out to be another massive hit for the makers. ## Sung and composed by Sachet-Parampara from the lyrics by Manoj Muntashir Shukla, Ram Siya Ram was launched on T-Series' YouTube channel, and in the first 24 hours, it received huge 38+ million views in all languages, which is the second highest ever for a movie song in India. ## The Hindi version of the song got little over 32 million views in 24 hours, which is the second highest ever after the film's first song Jai Shri Ram which scored around 32.20 million views. The other versions of the latest hit song scored around 6 million views, including 4.5 million of the Telugu version. The Hindi version is currently trending at number 2 on YouTube. ## ## "Adipurush" is the cinematic adaptation of the epic Ramayana. Produced by T-Series, Retrophiles, and UV Creations, the movie stars Prabhas as Lord Rama alongside Kriti Sanon as Sita, Sunny Singh as Laxman, Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh, and Devdatta Nage as Hanuman, among other key characters. His last film, "Selfiee" was an outright disaster despite getting mixed to positive reviews. ## Akshay believed that in the post covid-19 pandemic, the audience's taste has changed and they want to watch only larger-than-life films in theaters. He said that the change is happening in the industry and the movies are being planned accordingly. The covid was a huge setback but Akshay is hopeful that by the end of 2024, the industry will have stability and would be in a better position than it is today.## Box office results aside, the "Ram Setu" actor has been accused of charging high upfront fees which lead to an increase in budget and if the movie fails it results in huge losses to the makers. However, the actor revealed that he is not charging upfront fees for quite some time now and all the rumors about his remuneration are not true. ## "It's not true. I am not charging upfront. I am the partner in the films. If Selfiee has flopped, I will not get money or will get just 10% of what my fee was. Today, if you come to me with an idea and if we work on the film, we will work as partners and release it together. If it works, both of us will earn. If not, we both will earn less or not at all. But it won't go in minus", he said in an interview with Mint. ## He further said that despite the fact that Selfiee and Rakshabandhan did not work at the box office, Disney or Zee have not lost money because of these films as he was the one who didn't earn because of not charging upfront. Since then, various actors have been approached to play the legendary cricketer but things didn't materialize. ## Now, according to Peepingmoon.com, the biographical drama is back on track, and pre-production has already started. It is said that the makers are in advanced talks with the supremely talented actor Ayushmann Khurana to headline the project.## Ayushmann, who has wooed audiences with a variety of roles, has reportedly been in talks for this much-awaited biopic for several months and it's only a matter of some formalities before he is officially signed on for the role. Kochi, May 29 - The Tovino Thomas-led Malayalam blockbuster 2018 is having a record-breaking run at the domestic as well as overseas box office. The film has broken almost all the major records for a Malayalam movie in just 4 weeks of the run. ## Directed by Jude Anthany Joseph, "2018" was released on May 5, and in just 24 days, it has grossed over 160 crores at the worldwide box office. It also stars Kunchacko Boban, Asif Ali, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Lal, and Narain with an ensemble supporting cast. ## Have a look at some of the major box office records broken by 2018 - ## Highest-grossing Malayalam movie of all-time at the worldwide box office## 2018 is the highest-grossing Malayalam movie of all time. Mumbai, May 28 - Vin Diesel-fronted action thriller Fast X has crossed 100 crores gross at the Indian box office, becoming the first Hollywood movie of the year to do so. ## Directed by Louis Leterrier, "Fast X" crossed the century mark on its second Saturday, taking the total collection to around 105 crores after 10 days. It is also performing well today (2nd Sunday) and is likely to rack in another 7 crores for around 112 crores gross through the second weekend. ## In one of the rarest cases, the Hindi version of the film is performing better than the original English language as it has earned approximately 54 crores gross while the English version has collected around 52 crores through the second Sunday. Tamil and Telugu version has earned over 6 crores. ## As far as net collection is concerned, "Fast X" has earned around 93.50 crores in all languages. It will enter the 100 crores mark this week.## Meanwhile, the 10th installment in the "Fast & Furious" franchise topped $500 million at the global box office on Sunday. Kochi, May 28 - The record-breaking run of all-time Malayalam blockbuster 2018: Everyone is a Hero continues and this time, it has breached another long-standing record of Pulimurugan (2016) in the Kerala state. ## After "2018" became the highest-grossing Malayalam movie of all time, it has now become the biggest grosser in Kerala state in just 24 days, including today (4th Sunday).## On its 24th day (4th Sunday), 2018 grossed 2.70 crores in Kerala and pushed the total collection to 80.06 crores in the state. The latest Mollywood sensation has topped the nearly seven-year record of Pulimurugan which grossed around 78.50 crores in Kerala. ## The non-Malayalam highest-grossing film in Kerala is SS Rajamouli's Baahubali: The Conclusion (Telugu) which grossed around 73 crores and is currently the 3rd biggest in the state, followed by K.G.F. Being a small film industry with not much market outside Kerala, the Malayalam industry hasn't delivered many huge box office blockbusters, hence the success of "2018" becomes even more special. ## It is only the 3rd Malayalam title of all time to cross the 100 crores mark at the worldwide box office and even went on to top Mohanlal's "Pulimurugan" to become the Malayalam industry hit. Mumbai, May 27 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar's much-awaited social comedy-drama film OMG - Oh My God! - 2 will be released in theaters, contrary to rumors about the direct-to-digital release. ## Directed by Amit Rai, the movie is a spiritual sequel to "OMG – Oh My God! (2012) and stars Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, and Yami Gautam. The movie has been in production since 2021. The movie was supposed to release in cinemas last year, however, due to the delay in the shoot, the makers postponed the release indefinitely. ## It was recently reported that the movie has opted for a direct OTT release, however, the makers never confirmed the same. Now, according to Pinkvilla, "OMG 2" is being readied for its theatrical release this year as the makers never discussed its OTT release. ## "Akshay Kumar along with his partners, Ashwin Varde, Viacom 18, and Jio Studios have decided on a theatrical release for Oh My God 2. Several discussions happen throughout the course of making, but, Oh My God 2 was always announced as a theatrical venture. Prabhas To Collaborate With Trivikram Srinivas For The First Time?

Hyderabad, May 27 - A few days ago, it was reported that superstar Prabhas is in talks with "Sita Ramam" director Hanu Raghvapudi for a big-budget Pan India movie. Later it was revealed that the movie will have a war backdrop which the actor liked and will start shooting once he finishes his ongoing projects. ## Now, according to Pinkvilla, the "Baahubali" star is in the early talks with director Trivikram Srinivas for a possible collaboration. Trivikram, who is currently directing superstar Mahesh Babu in "SSMB 28", recently pitched a story idea to Prabhas and it is said to be completely different from what they have done before. ## The project in question is still in the so early stage to get confirmation but the report revealed it will be in a unique space for Prabhas and won't be anything that anyone has seen him before. If the project finalizes, it will mark Prabhas and Trivikram's maiden collaboration. ## Prabhas, meanwhile, has a number of films to finish. He is currently gearing up for the release of director Om Raut's "Adipurush" (June 16) and then has Prashanth Neel's "Salaar", scheduled for September 28, 2023, release.
