Chennai, July 11 - Amid the rumours of Thalapathy Vijay planning to join the politics soon, the actor has reportedly made a big statement regarding his film career. ## During an event in Chennai, Thalapathy Vijay has reportedly claimed that he will quit acting in films once he enters politics. The actor said that he will be fully focused on politics only if he ever decides to join it. ## It was recently reported that Thalapathy Vijay will not be doing films after his 68th movie which is with the director Venkat Prabhu. The shoot for the same will commence later this year and the plans are there to release it on the occasion of Diwali next year. ## Thalapathy Vijay has recently completed his portion in the highly-anticipated Pan India movie "Leo" directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Chennai, July 11 - Former Indian cricket team captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni is making his film debut as a producer with the Tamil movie "LGM- Let's Get Married". Directed by Ramesh Thamilmani, the movie stars Harish Kalyan, Ivana, Nadiya, Yogi Babu, and RJ Vijay in key roles. ## MS Dhoni, along with his wife Sakshi Dhoni were present at the trailer launch event of "LGM" in Chennai yesterday (July 10). During the event, captain cool revealed why he chose to make his first film in the Tamil language, to which he opened up about his special bond with Tamil Nadu. ## "My first test debut was in Chennai. My highest test score was in Chennai, and now, my first movie is in Tamil. Chennai is more special to me, I was adopted here in 2008 when IPL started off. We produced our first film in Tamil because of our mutual love for the state", Dhoni said. ## MS further said that the entire cast of the film, led by Harish Kalyan, Nadiya, Ivana, Yogi Babu, and RJ Vijay have done a fantabulous job and made a clean family entertainer. ## "I can watch it with my daughter. Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao's 'Stree 2' Shoot Begins With A Twist

Mumbai, July 11 - The much-awaited sequel to producer Dinesh Vijan's blockbuster horror-comedy "Stree" has commenced filming today in Chanderi. Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao return to reprise their roles along with Pankaj Tripti, Aparshakti Khurrana, and Abhishek Banerjee from the first movie. ## The makers announced the commencement of the shoot today with a twist in the plot of "Stree 2". While Stree, played by Flora Saini, brought chaos in the life of Chanderi's people, this time Stree will come to save them from the terror of a head-cutter as the villagers call for "O Stree, protect us".## Amar Kaushik returns to direct the sequel, produced by Vijan's Maddock Films. Raj & D.K., who wrote the screenplay of the first film, are not a part of the movie. The film is a part of Maddock Films' horror-comedy universe which kicked off with "Stree" (2018), followed by "Roohi" (2021) and "Bhediya" (2022). "Stree 2" will feature Varun Dhawan's cameo as Bhediya. ## It is said that the sequel will be heavy on VFX and the makers have collaborated with the same team which done the VFX of Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon's "Bhediya". The 2+ minutes of the action-packed promo are getting appreciation all around as fans are going gaga over SRK's mass look. ## The Hindi trailer, named as Preveu, of "Jawan" is already among the top most-viewed Bollywood movie trailers of all time and by far the most-viewed trailer of Shah Rukh Khan's movie ever in the first 24 hours. It has so far grossed 80.60 crores domestically and an estimated 21 crores at the overseas box office to push the total worldwide collection to 101.60 crores. ## SPK has become the 5th movie of Kartik Aaryan after "Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety", "Luka Chuppi", "Pati Patni Aur Woh", and "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2" to breach the 100 crores gross club globally while it is Kiara's 7th movie after "M.S. Mumbai, July 10 - National-award winning filmmaker Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan's latest film "72 Hoorain" has had a low opening weekend at the box office as the movie could score approx. 1.25 crores net in three days. ## Starring Pavan Malhotra and Ameer Bashir in lead roles, "72 Hoorain" was hit by controversy even before its release as a section accused the makers of hurting religious sentiments through the movie. CBFC granted the movie 'A' certificate. ## Unlike "The Kerala Story", this kind of controversy failed to hype up "72 Hoorain" as the movie almost went unnoticed at the box office in the opening weekend. Vijayendra Prasad, will soon be completed. ## After Mahesh Babu's film, tentatively titled "SSMB29", Rajamouli may start his dream project which is the cinematic adaptation of the epic "Mahabharat". Writer V. Vijayendra Prasad teased a couple of big projects of SSR in a recent interview. ## The writer said that Babu's film will be much bigger and better than "RRR" which was released last year and made SSR and actors Jr. NTR and Ram Charan global sensations. Vijayendra Prasad in an earlier interview said that they leaving an open ending climax of "SSMB29" to turn it into a franchise. ## SSR has time and again said that Mahabharata is his dream project and will need more movie experience to bring it into reality. Mumbai, July 10 - The wait finally ends and the Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is there to fight the wrongs in society in the first look teaser/trailer of the highly-anticipated action thriller film Jawan" directed by Atlee Kumar. ## The 2-minute and 12 seconds promo gives the first look at Shah Rukh Khan's different looks as well as the first look at Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, and Deepika Padukone (cameo). The makers have officially described the movie as a "high-octane action thriller which outlines the emotional journey of a man who is set to rectify the wrongs in society". ## The promo begins with a voiceover by Shah Rukh Khan, who says, "I don't know who I am or what I am, I do not know". He goes on to say whether he is a promise made to a mother or a purpose.. unfinished. "Am I good or bad, a blessing or a curse, ask these questions yourself. Because I am you, for better or worse".## In between the dialogues, the actor indulges in some high-octane action scenes before we get to see glimpses of the soldier character that SRK plays. The teaser then gives a glimpse of SRK's bandaged look before he takes off his bandages to reveal an all-new bald look to hijack a train and goes on to say "When I become the villain, no hero stands a chance against me". ## SRK accompanies by his girl gang which helps him to fight the wrongs. Nayanthara and Deepika can also be seen involved in the fight scenes. The action-heavy promo, however, doesn't reveal what are the wrongs the actor and his girl gang are fighting. The promo ends with a funny train scene in which SRK is having a funny dance to an old song while the passengers shaking. ## Overall, the teaser lives up to the high expectations as it promises a complete mass entertainer SRK has never done before. Makers' Huge Demand For 'Salaar' Theatrical Rights In Telugu States?

Hyderabad, July 9 - After shattering box office records with "KGF: Chapter 2" last year, director Prashanth Neel's next blockbuster "Salaar" with one of the biggest Indian superstars Prabhas is having huge anticipation as the release date getting nearer. ## The teaser of the movie was recently launched which has raised anticipation, not just among the fans, but also in the trade which is expecting the movie to do wonders at the box office. As the pre-release buzz has escalated, the makers of "Salaar" have reportedly started negotiating for the film's theatrical rights. ## As per the buzz in the Telugu trade, the makers are demanding as high as 190-200 crores for theatrical rights in the two Telugu states, including around 70 crores alone in the Nizam region. The asking price for the Ceded area is said to be around 35 crores while the same is around 90 crores in Andhra Pradesh, according to a report from Track Tollywood. ## The aforementioned quoted amount is in the lines of SS Rajamouli's "RRR" starring Jr. NTR and Ram Charan which the movie easily covered and gave the buyers huge profit. However, in the case of "Salaar", the buyers are reportedly hesitant as a couple of recent films of Prabhas didn't do the expected business and ended up as loss ventures in Telugu states. ## There is no doubt "Salaar" will take a huge opening nationwide as the combination of Prashanth Neel and Prabhas, backed by a reputed production house which is Hombale Films, is too big to go unnoticed. However, after facing back-to-back losses, the buyers might find it difficult to commit to the high demand for theatrical rights even though they are aware it is a big box office tentpole movie. ## As confirmed by the makers with the teaser itself, "Salaar" will be released in two parts with the first part, titled "Salaar Part 1 - Ceasefire", slated for September 28, 2023, release in Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi languages.
