Mumbai, July 25 - Bollywood action star Tiger Shroff is all set to join filmmaker Rohit Shetty's blockbuster Cop Universe. The maverick director is currently busy with the pre-production work of the highly-anticipated "Singham Again", fronted by Ajay Devgn. ## According to Pinkvilla, Tiger has been roped in to play a cop role in "Singham 3". It will be a cameo appearance for the actor who is the latest entrant in the much talked about cop universe. The "Heropanti" star will be joining the lead actor Ajay Devgn along with Akshay Kumar, and Ranveer Singh who will reprise their roles as Sooryavanshi and Simmba, respectively as extended cameo appearances, in the first schedule.## "It's a schedule of combination dates with Singham, Simmba, and Sooryavanshi. The trio will be shooting by September end/early October and Tiger Shroff too will be joining them for a short 6 to 7-day period", the report says, adding that apart from the schedule of combination dates, Tiger will also be shooting for his personality entry sequence in Singham. ## Tiger, who will get his solo cop movie in Shetty's cop universe in the future, has reportedly allotted 12 days for the shoot for his cameo in "Singham 3" and is ready for more if Shetty demands. It is said that "Singham Again" will lead to a solo movie for Tiger as well as Deepika Padukone who will also be making her debut in this cop universe with the upcoming movie. ## "Singham Again" is the fifth movie in Rohit Shetty's cop universe after "Singham", "Singham Returns", Simmba", and "Sooryavanshi". Two more solo films will be made going further, including a female-led one by Deepika Padukone. Chennai, July 25 - Bollywood actor Bobby Deol is all set to make his big Tamil debut with the Suriya-fronted Pan India movie, "Kanguva", according to the latest reports.## Bobby Deol, who is already doing Pan India Telugu movie "Hari Hara Veera Mallu"-fronted by Pawan Kalyan, has reportedly been roped in to play the main antagonist in Kanguva. He will play a merciless baddie in the Siva-directed film and will start shooting for his portions in Bangkok next month. ## "Kanguva", which is a period action drama film, is one of the most-anticipated Tamil movies. Produced by Studio Green and UV Creations, the movie has Disha Patani as the female lead, making her debut in Tamil cinema. ## The makers recently unveiled the first look glimpse of "Kanguva" which got a blockbuster response. The film has music by Devi Sri Prasad, cinematography by Vetri Palanisamy, and editing by Nishadh Yusuf. Tokyo, July 25 - Telugu superstar Ram Charan's period action drama film "Rangasthalam" has crossed 1 crore at the Japanese box office after the second weekend. Directed by Sukumar, the movie was released in Japan on July 14, more than 5 years after its original release in 2018.## "Rangasthalam" has taken a decent start in Japan with ¥10.1 million or approx. 60 lakh in the 3-day opening weekend before ending the full week with ¥16.4 million or 95 lakh. In the second weekend, the movie scored ¥4.4 million (25 lakh) and took the total collection to ¥20.80 million (1.20 crores) so far.## Interestingly, Ram Charan's last release "RRR", which also stars Jr. NTR and is directed by Rajamouli, scored ¥18 million on its opening day in Japan last year and went on to finish over a historic ¥2 billion (approx. 125 crores) and is the highest-grossing Indian movie there.## Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, "Rangasthalam" was an industry hit during its release in 2018 in Telugu. It grossed over 200 crores at the worldwide box office and became the highest-grossing film in Ram Charan as well as Samantha's career.## Meanwhile, Yash-fronted "KGF" films were also released in Japan last week and have also crossed 1 crore and have grossed in a similar range as "Rangasthalam". In the first 10 days, "KGF 1" and "KGF 2" have grossed approx. JPY 20 million combined (JPY 10 million each) at the Japan box office.## Directed by Prashanth Neel, the two KGF films grossed approx. 1450 crores at the worldwide box office in their first runs. Mumbai, July 25 - Bollywood star Kartik Aaryan and director Anees Bazmee will be reuniting for the third installment of the horror-comedy franchise "Bhool Bhulaiyaa". The duo created magic with the "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2" last year with a worldwide gross collection of over 260 crores before producer Bhushan Kumar of T-Series officially announced "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3". ## Now, according to Pinkvilla, the shoot of BB3 will commence in February 2024 and it will be hitting theaters worldwide on Diwali later in the year. "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is in the scripting stage at the moment and the team has locked the basic plot for the third part of this iconic horror comedy franchise. It will be shot over a period of 4 months", the report says.## "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3" will clash with Akshay Kumar-fronted much bigger IP, "Housefull 5" which will go on floors in December this year on Diwali next year. Interestingly, the first "Bhool Bhulaiyaa" (2007) was led by Akshay Kumar and was directed by Priyadarshan. Mumbai, July 25 - The Independence Day 2023 week will see multiple Indian biggies releasing in theaters, clashing against each other. One of the most anticipated box office clashes is going to happen between the two sequels to the highly appreciated and successful movies, Sunny Deol-fronted "Gadar 2: The Katha Continues" and Akshay Kumar's "OMG 2". ## Anil Sharma's directorial "Gadar 2" is the sequel to the all-time blockbuster "Gadar: Ek Prem Katha" (2001) while "OMG 2", directed by Amit Rai, is the successor of "OMG" (2012). There is genuine excitement for both movies among the fans and the trade is also looking forward and hopeful about the same. ## Meanwhile, Sunny Deol is not at all worried about the box office numbers and is not fazed by the fact that his film will be clashing with the Akshay Kumar-led "Oh My God 2" (OMG 2) in a high-profile box office showdown. ## During a recent interview with ETimes, Deol said, "I have never felt unnerved by box-office numbers as I believe that there is so much to do. There are many ways of portraying stories, but every Friday, we change our vision, and we say that 'Yeh nahin chal raha hai, toh aisa karo'. But this has been happening forever, it's not new. We need to believe in our stories and tell them to our audience".## The actor further said that the media shouldn't compare movies if they are coming on the same day. He recalled how "Gadar" was run down completely but emerged as a people's movie and grossed over 100 crores worldwide despite clashing with Aamir Khan's "Lagaan" which was hailed as a classic blockbuster.## "Gadar did Rs 100 crore plus, while Lagaan did much less. I don't understand why people compare – whether it's from the business or likeability point. Gadar didn't have the perception, people thought it is this masala film and is an old sort of film with old songs".## "On the other hand, people thought Lagaan was classic, etc. The so-called people who talk about films had run down Gadar completely. It went on to become a people's film, and they loved it. At award shows, I remember that they made a spoof of Gadar, but we weren't bothered by it. It has happened with some of my other films too, like Ghayal and Dil, which clashed. Nitesh Tiwari's directorial, which was originally hyped as a theatrical release, debuted directly on Amazon Prime Video on July 21. ## Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, "Bawaal" opened to mixed reviews from critics and mixed to positive responses from digital audiences. Amazon Prime Video made it available to stream in over 200 countries, making it one of the widest digital releases ever for Indian movies. ## According to Ormax Media, a media consulting firm, "Bawaal" scored 6.9 million views in its first three days, and was the 3rd most-watched Hindi title in India across OTT platforms in the week of July 17 - July 24. The 6.9 million views are estimates based only within India as Ormax doesn't track international streaming data. ## Meanwhile, as per a recent report, "Bawaal" was sold to Amazon Prime Video for 120 crores while the budget of the film is believed to be 80 crores. Hyderabad, July 24 - According to the new rumours, superstar Prabhas' much-awaited Pan India sci-fi epic movie "Kalki 2898 AD" aka "Project K" has been postponed from January to summer 2024. The movie is directed by Nag Ashwin and produced by Vyjayanthi Movies. ## The title of the movie was recently unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con event with the first look glimpse. The title has been kept after one of the names of Lord Vishnu as the movie is a mixture of mythology and science fiction. ## Earlier this year, makers announced that "Kalki 2898 AD" would be released on January 12, 2024, in multiple languages worldwide. However, the shoot of the movie is still going on which led to speculations to its postponement. Now, as per a post by the industry tracker Manobala Vijayabalan, makers are planning to release the movie on May 9, 2024, worldwide.## The new rumored release date is in line with some of the recent reliable reports stating it would be released in the summer of 2024 only as the movie will require at least 3-4 months of post-production work. Mumbai, July 24 - The Rise of Hollywood films in India has been exceptional over the last few years where English films are consistently performing well at the box office. In the first half of 2023, there have been at least, 3 films (outside Marvel and DC) which have emerged as big hits, and now, things went a notch higher in the first month of the second half, July.## In July, three of the biggest Hollywood films of the year were released in the form of "Mission Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One", "Oppenheimer", and "Barbie" and all three have emerged as super successes. It began with Tom Cruise's "MI7" which is nearing 100 crores net (already crossed 100 crores gross), and the momentum continued with "Barbenheimer" mania, which literally has set the box office on fire. This past weekend (July 21-23), "Oppenheimer", "Barbie" and "MI7" scored an estimated $11.5 million (95 crores) in what is one of the biggest all-time single weekends for Hollywood movies in India. ## Oppenheimer - Maverick director Christopher Nolan's atom bomb movie has had an excellent opening weekend and is the biggest for the filmmaker in India. After taking the biggest Hollywood opening of 17.50 crores ($2.1M) of the year here, "Oppenheimer" concluded the 3-day weekend on high with 58 crores gross ($7 million), and it will become the biggest film of Nolan in India by the end of its 4th day. India was the second-biggest international market for the film that otherwise was second to "Barbie" in almost all the markets.## Barbie - The Margot Robbie-led fantasy comedy movie got the benefit of the Barbenheimer phenomena in India at least and smiled with a $2.7 million (22 crores) 3-day opening weekend. The movie has had a limited release in only the English version and has done very well at the box office. The Warner Bros. Pictures' film is set to emerge as a clean hit in India. ## Mission Impossible 7 - The Tom Cruise-starrer got impacted by "Oppenheimer" on the second weekend but still did well to score $1.7 million (14 crores) in its second Friday to Sunday weekend. In India, the film has scored over 54 crores gross so far, the highest of all time for a Punjabi movie, while the overseas collection is a staggering 46 crores (estimated) for 100+ crores worldwide gross. ## "Carry on Jatta 3" has now a lead of over 40 crores from its predecessor which is also the second highest-grossing Indian Punjabi movie of all-time with approx. 58 crores worldwide gross.
