Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan' Pre-Release Event To Be Held On August 30 In Chennai

Chennai, August 29 - The excitement for Shah Rukh Khan's "Jawan" is growing up with each passing day as the release of the movie is just over a week to go. Directed by Atlee Kumar, the makers are gearing up to launch the trailer of the movie on August 31 as well as a couple of songs in the next few days to increase the hype furthermore.

Now, according to the latest reports, the pre-release event of the movie will take place on August 30 at Sri Sairam Engineering College in Chennai. Earlier, there were reports that the music launch event was planned, however, there is no confirmed development is reported.



The event will be attended by Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi and director Atlee. Music director Anirudh is also expected to grace the occasion. It is reported that Thalapathy Vijay was also invited but it is unclear if he will attend the event or not.

It is probably the first time that a pre-release event for an outright Bollywood movie is happening, that too in Chennai. It is a norm for South Indian films to held pre-release event, and now, the same thing is happening with a Bollywood movie is surely going to catch the attention of the Tamil audiences along with rest of the South Indian audiences as the film is also releasing in Tamil and Telugu languages.



The film tells the story of a person who sets out to rectify the wrongs in society with help from a group of women. It stars Shah Rukh Khan in a dual role, alongside Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Priyamani, and Sanya Malhotra while Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Dutt play special appearances.

"Jawan" is scheduled to release on September 7 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
