Mumbai, September 22 - Folk horror thriller Tumbbad re-release put up another good show and scored the biggest second weekend than the first one at the domestic box office. It has also crossed 20 crores net through the second weekend. ## After getting the benefit of National Cinema Day on the second Friday and holding strong on Saturday, the acclaimed flick remained on the level of the second Saturday collection as it scored around 2.50 crores net collection on its second Sunday (10th day). ## The total second weekend of Tumbbad re-release is approximately 7.60 crores net which is higher than the first weekend collection of 7.25 crores net. The super positive word of mouth is coming into play which is providing a strong day-wise trend at the box office.## After the second weekend (10 days), the total re-release collection of the movie is around 20.75 crores net which is already more than 50% of the lifetime original collection (13.50 crores net) of Tumbbad. Mumbai, September 22 - Producer Sohum Shah's folk horror thriller Tumbbad continues to surprise with the superb day-wise trend at the box office since its re-release over a week ago. ## After a good first-week collection of 13.15 crores net, the movie began the second weekend with an excellent jump of over 100% on Friday due to National Cinema Day, scoring approximately 2.75 crores. Tumbbad again showed a fantastic hold on Saturday and stayed over the 2 crore mark. ## On its second Saturday (9th day), the acclaimed flick scored approximately 2.35 crores net, dropping just under 20% from NCD collection. This took the total re-release collection of Tumbbad to approximately 18.25 crores net in 9 days, already around 35% more than the film's lifetime original run (13.50 crores). ## Tumbbad is expected to score a further jump on its third Sunday and will cross the 20 crore net mark in just 10 days. Mumbai, September 20 - Critically acclaimed Tumbbad re-release begins the second week on a strong note. It has witnessed an excellent jump of almost 100% on its second Friday from Thursday, thanks to National Cinema Day and ever-improving word of mouth. ## Tumbbad had a superb first-week collection of approximately 13.15 crores net, including a 7.25 crores opening weekend total. It was expected to do well in the second weekend due to positive word of mouth and with the added support of low ticket prices on NCD, it doubled the collection on the second Friday. ## The movie scored approximately 2.75 crore net collection on its 8th day, over a 70% jump from the first Friday and a 120% jump from Thursday. Earlier, the movie had an occasional limited re-release this year where it scored approximately 40 lakh gross collection. ## Apart from 2024, Veer-Zaara has had an occasional re-release from 2005-2023 during which it grossed 2.50 crores. Mumbai, September 20 - As Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao-fronted Stree 2 is getting closer to becoming the biggest Hindi grosser of all time at the domestic box office, the horror-comedy blockbuster has topped 30 million (3 crores) footfalls in India. ## The Amar Kaushik's directorial has crossed 3 crore admissions in Indian theatres as I type this and becomes the second film of 2024 to achieve the feat after Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD. Stree 2 is the first 3 crore footfall title for the entire major cast and crew along with Maddock Film and Jio Studio.## Post the COVID-19 pandemic, Stree 2 is the 8th film to sell 30 million or more tickets at the Indian box office, after RRR, KGF: Chapter 2, Pathaan, Gadar 2, Jawan, Animal, and Kalki 2898 AD. Mumbai, September 17 - The folk horror thriller Tumbbad is heading towards emerging as a big success story in its re-release run at the domestic box office after not getting much return in its original run 6 years ago despite the critical acclaim.## Upon re-release on September 13, the Rahi Anil Barve's directorial film had a very good opening weekend with approximately 7.25 crores net which is almost 225% more than the film's original run first-weekend collection of 3.25 crores net.## The superb weekend almost ensured that the film would do well during the weekdays and come the first Monday, it performed better than expected to score higher collection than the first day (Friday). On its 4th day, Tumbbad scored approximately 1.75 crores net collection, around a 40% drop from Sunday and a 10% jump from Friday. ## The movie's total collection after 4 days is approximately 9 crores net and is now just 4.50 crores away from outgrossing its lifetime original run collection of 13.50 crores net. Amid the success of a few re-releases, Yash Raj Film's Veer-Zaara returned to the big screen and scored well in the opening weekend. ## The 20-year-old epic romantic drama, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta, and Rani Mukerji, was re-released on September 13 on over 300 shows, which jumped to over 400 shows on Sunday after the positive response at the box office. ## The Yash Chopra's superhit directorial scored approximately 25 lakh gross collection on its opening day upon re-release. The movie witnessed an upward trend on the second day to score approximately 40 lakh gross, followed by another 45+ lakh on Sunday, for approximately 1.10+ crore gross (95 lakh net) opening weekend. ## Earlier in the year, Veer-Zaara had occasional re-releases on limited shows where it grossed approximately 40 lakh collection, and including the latest re-release, the movie has grossed around 1.50 crores this year (1.30 crores net). ## Veer-Zaara was a super hit at the box office in its original run with approximately 97 crores worldwide gross collection. Mumbai, September 16 - There is no stopping horror-comedy blockbuster Stree 2 which is racing towards the ultimate glory of becoming the biggest Hindi grosser of all time at the domestic box office by crossing Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan. ## The Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao once again created history by scoring the biggest 5th weekend with approximately 15.50 crores net collection in Hindi. Previously, Vicky Kaushal's Uri: The Surgical Strike had the biggest 5th weekend with 12.50 crores net. ## Interestingly, URI's 5th-weekend collection was higher than the full 5th-week collection of the rest of the movies, including Baahubali 2 (11.78 crores net), Tanhaji (10.41 crores), and KGF 2 (10.25 crores). Stree 2 has topped them all and will also become the highest fifth-week grosser of all time in Hindi by crossing URI (18.75 crores net).## Stree 2 has become only the second film ever to cross 550 crores net collection in Hindi.
