Mumbai, May 30 - A sequel to Ajay Devgn's 2018's hit Raid has been in the talks for a long time now. It was even reported that the Raid 2 script had been locked and it would go on floors this year. Now, producer Bhushan Kumar has revealed that the movie is indeed in development but will go on floors only by next year. ## "The world had stopped for 2 years, but yes, Raid 2 is under production. Kumar Ji (Producer, Kumar Mangat) already has multiple ideas in place for Raid 2, he has in fact collated a lot of incidents that can be used in the Raid franchise. We will choose the best idea and then move ahead", the producer told Pinkvilla in a recent interview. ## "I already have two films with Ajay Ji - Bholaa and Drishyam 2 - so the Raid sequel will begin next year. Before that, we are remaking Raid down south. It's under discussion", he added. ## Raid, directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, is based on the real-life income-tax raid conducted by the officers of the Income Tax Department on Sardar Inder Singh in the 1980s. Mumbai, May 30 - Producer Sajid Nadiadwala hasn't had a good year so far with two back-to-back bombs in the form of Akshay Kumar's Bachchhan Paandey and Tiger Shroff-starrer Heropanti 2. Both the movies premiered on Amazon Prime Video after their theatrical release and now, the producer has once again joined hands with a streamer for his upcoming movies. ## Sajid Nadiadwala's production house Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment announced through social media that its upcoming movie will be available on Prime Video rather sooner after its theatrical releases. It is said that the production house has inked a 6-films deal with the streamer. Mumbai, May 30 - Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, has scored an excellent second weekend at the domestic box office. The film beat all the biggies except mega-blockbuster The Kashmir Files to score the 2nd biggest second weekend for a Bollywood movie in 2022. ## Directed by Anees Bazmee, BB2 minted 30.64 crores net, exceeding all the expectations in the second weekend. It kicked off the weekend with a very good 6.52 crores, before hitting a double-digit mark each on Saturday and Sunday with 11.35 crores and 12.77 crores, respectively. Despite the final of IPL 2022, the movie didn't witness much drop in night shows. ## Here are the Top 3 Bollywood movies with the highest 2nd-weekend collections in 2022 - ## 1. Directed by Anees Bazmee, the sequel to 2006's classic hit scored an excellent 11.35 crores net on the second Saturday, pushing the total net collection to 109.92 crores in just 9 days. ## "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2" is a special film for the Hindi film industry as it provided much-needed oxygen to the industry amid a few mishits at the box office. Meanwhile, BB2 has also become the 100th film in Hindi to enter the 100 crores net club and is currently at number 81 in the all-time biggest scorers in Hindi. Mumbai, May 27 - Yash Raj Films has agreed to change the title of Akshay Kumar-fronted magnum opus, Prithviraj to Samrat Prithviraj. The decision of changing the title is taken after Karni Sena objected to it and decided to not let the movie screen. ## The producers have reportedly written a letter to the national president, youth president, and the Maharashtra president of the Shri Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena on Friday to convey their decision that the film has now been titled Samrat Prithviraj.## It is reported that Karni Sena has no objection to the story of the film and had reportedly given a green signal after watching it. However, they asked Yash Raj Films to change the title of Prithviraj and add 'Samrat' to it, to which YRF has agreed. ## Written and directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi, Samrat Prithviraj is based on Prithviraj Raso, a Braj language epic poem about the life of Prithviraj Chauhan, a Rajput king from the Chahamana dynasty. Mumbai, May 27 - Israeli director Rotem Shamir is all set to make his Indian debut with the upcoming Hindi Bollywood film on the Afghan rescue crisis, Garud. Shamir is best known for his hit series Fauda and Hostages. ## Inspired by real events, Garud presents a fictionalized depiction of the rescue mission in Afghanistan, based on the story of an officer in the Garud Commando Force, a special forces unit of the Indian Air Force. Ajay Kapoor, who jointly bankrolled John Abraham's Attack: Part 1, will be producing "Garud" with Subhash Kale. ## Shamir said in a statement, "Garud is a very exciting film, while it is focused on the Indian aspect of the story, it has a universal appeal that promises to connect with people all across.
