Akshay Kumar And Radhika Madan Begin Filming Of 'Soorarai Pottru' Remake With Director Sudha Kongara

Mumbai, April 25 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has commenced the shooting of the Hindi remake of the Tamil hit, "Soorarai Pottru" in Mumbai. Akshay will be stepping into the shoes of Suriya. Radhika Madan joined Akshay as the female lead and she will be reprising the role played by Aparna Balamurali in the original movie. ## The Hindi remake, not titled yet, is being directed by Sudha Kongara who has also helmed the original Tamil movie. Akshay, on Monday (April 25), took to Twitter and shared a video of an auspicious coconut-breaking ceremony before kicking off the shoot. The thriller movie, based on real incidents, is one of the most anticipated Hindi movies that also features legendary Amitabh Bachchan and Rakul Preet Singh in lead roles. ## The makers of "Runway 34", meanwhile, have already completed the censorship formalities nearly 3 weeks before the release. According to the reports, the movie has been certified with a 'U/A' certificate by CBFC with zero cuts. As for the theatrical run time, it is 2 hours and 28 minutes long. ## Directed and produced by Ajay Devgn, the film is inspired by the true event of the Jet Airways Doha to Kochi flight 9W 555, a Boeing 737–800 aircraft that had a narrow escape on 18 August 2015, after facing difficulties to land on the Cochin International Airport due to bad weather and unclear visibility at 5:45 in the morning. ## While "Runway 34" will be released on April 29 along with Tiger Shroff's "Heropanti 2", a week later, Marvel Studios' highly-awaited superhero movie, "Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness" will be debuting in Indian theaters on May 6. Mumbai, April 21 - Vidyut Jammwal and Shivaleeka Oberoi's action thriller film, Khuda Haafiz: Chapter II – Agni Pariksha, has set a release date in theaters. The first part of the film was released directly on Disney Plus Hotstar in August 2020 and was a successful outing on the digital platform. ## Khuda Haafiz Chapter 1 created a decent buzz and makers thought it will be a good idea to bring its successor to the theaters. Set during the financial crisis of 2007–2008, the film is inspired by true events and follows Sameer Chaudhary, a young man who races against time to rescue his kidnapped wife Nargis from flesh traders.## Chapter 2, which is slated to release on June 17, 2022, in theaters, is expected to be more intense packed with action, that's why it has been named, Agni Pariksha. It is a brand that also sells tobacco products. His decision was not well received by fans. Opening Day Box Office Prediction Of Shahid Kapoor's 'Jersey'

Mumbai, April 20 - Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor is readying for the release of his long-awaited sports drama movie, Jersey, on April 22. The Hindi remake of the Telugu hit of the same name, Jersey, was supposed to release on April 14 itself but was postponed at the 11th hour to avoid a direct clash with Yash-fronted KGF Chapter 2', which is going all guns blazing at the box office. ## Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, Jersey also stars Mrunal Thakur. The movie carries a lot of expectations as far as the box office is concerned, however, it won't be easy for it to have a smooth outing. It might have avoided a direct clash with KGF 2, but, things are still not in favor of it. ## KGF Chapter 2 is running riot at the Hindi box office, and will easily be able to retain a significant number of screens in the second week as well. Jersey, on the other hand, is expected to release on around 2000 screens. While these are enough screens for any mid-budget Bollywood film to take a healthy start, the same can't be said for Jersey, which is having low advance booking numbers with only two days to release. ## On any other day, Jersey could have taken the opening of 15-20 crores, keeping Shahid Kapoor's stardom. However, with KGF 2 being the first choice of moviegoers, Jersey, might reduce to the opening of 5-7 crores on the first day, which will be considered a decent start. The advance of the film till April 20 is around 70 lakh, which is very low. The makers are looking very confident about their product, and if it meets with the audience's expectation, then it could build upon that and score a healthy weekend of around 25-27 crores.## Shahid Kapoor's last film, Kabir Singh, was a massive blockbuster and it scored over 370 crores worldwide. However, it was released during the pre-covid time and there was no KGF-sque movie to hamper its chances. The makers would still be hoping for the film to fair well at the box office, that is the reason they didn't send the movie to digital way despite getting big offers. ## "Jersey" is produced by Aman Gill, Dil Raju, Suryadevara Naga Vamsi, and Allu Aravind under the banners of Brat Films, Sithara Entertainments, Dil Raju Production, and Allu Entertainment. Ajay Devgn Opens Up On His 'Runway 34' Clashing With Tiger Shroff's 'Heropanti 2' At The Box Office

Mumbai, April 19 - Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn has been a lucky charm for the Hindi film industry during the covid-19 pandemic as he had a role in all the hit films except "The Kashmir Files". After playing cameo roles in "Sooryavanshi", "Gangubai Kathiawadi", and "RRR", the superstar is now gearing up to release his own movie, "Runway 34" on Eid this year. ## Ajay Devgn has played the lead role in "Runway 34" apart from directing and producing it. The film is inspired by the true event of the Jet Airways Doha to Kochi flight 9W 555, a Boeing 737–800 aircraft that had a narrow escape on 18 August 2015, after facing difficulties landing at the Cochin International Airport due to bad weather and unclear visibility at 5:45 in the morning.## The "Tanhaji" actor will be sharing screen space with Legendary Amitabh Bachchan once again in the movie apart from reuniting with Rakul Preet Singh. Scheduled to release on April 29 during the Eid weekend, "Runway 34" will be clashing with Tiger Shroff's "Heropanti 2" at the box office. ## The clash between "Runway 34" and "Heropanti 2" will be the first major box office clash between two outright Hindi films. Ajay Devgn, however, is looking cool as he feels that both movies are different and have their own set of audiences. In simple words, "Runway 34" is a class audience movie while "Heropanti 2" has been made to target the mass audiences. ## "There is no clash. Both are different films. Heropanti 2 is a complete mass action film mine is not a mass film. I won't call it a clash, we support each other. Everybody has expectations from their film. I don't have a number but I also have box office expectations from my film", Ajay said during a recent media interview. ## The talks around Ajay Devgn's film have largely been positive till now and it is expected to do well at the box office. On the other hand, "Heropanti 2" is the sequel to a successful film, so there are expectations from this film as well, however, unlike "Runway 34", the trailer for Tiger Shroff's movie received negative reception which might give an upper hand to Ajay Devgn's movie. ## Stay tuned...
