The actor had himself confirmed on his birthday a couple of days ago that he is in talks for the same which will be directed by Shubh Mangal Saavdhan director RS Prasanna. ## The film will be produced by Sony Pictures India in association with Aamir's own banner, Aamir Khan Films. The film, which was released on March 11, has been putting some insane numbers at the box office, surpassing all the low trade expectations. ## Meanwhile, the state governments of India are making sure that the makers of the film get the best return for their investment in the film. In this process, as many as 9 states have declared the film tax-free. ## Haryana was the first state to make such an announcement. Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Sunday watched the movie in a theatre in Panchkula along with Haryana assembly Speaker Gian Chand Gupta. "The Kashmir Files" has been in the news for the last couple of weeks and very rightly, it is getting what it deserves the most. The IMDb's score can also be felt in the box office performance of this film as it surpassed all the expectations by miles. ## The movie has had a limited release on Friday and still managed to earn over Rs. 3.50 crores. Mumbai, March 11 - Prabhas' long-awaited period romantic drama film "Radhe Shyam" has bombed at the Hindi box office. Despite the anticipation, the movie couldn't meet expectations and opened to nearly Rs. 2.10 crores on Friday from multiplexes. By adding single screens data, it earned around 4.50 Cr Hindi net. ## On the other hand, National award-winning filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri's "The Kashmir Files" surprises at the box office. As per the early estimates, the film, based on true events, opens to Rs. 2.40 crores net from the multiplexes (including single screen, it earned around 3.30 Cr), despite the far fewer screens as compared to "Radhe Shyam". ## "The Kashmir Files", which tells the story of the exodus of Kashmiri Hindus in the early 1990s due to the Kashmir Insurgency, got a big boost towards evening and night shows from the strong word of mouth. The film has managed to touch the hearts of the audiences, and it is sure to grow further over the weekend. ## In the comparison between "Radhe Shyam" and "The Kashmir Files", the Radha Krishna Kumar-directed had 428 shows in Mumbai for the Hindi version, wherein "The Kashmir Files" had only 153 shows on the first day. There is a massive gap in the budget of two films as well. "Radhe Shyam" is made in nearly Rs. 300 crores cost while TKF cost just Rs. 20-25 crores. ## "Radhe Shyam", meanwhile, has managed to score big in the Telugu version, which can be seen as a cakewalk for Prabhas. It netted an estimated Rs. 42 crores in Telugu, which is the biggest since "Saaho" in 2019. Overall, it netted an estimated Rs. 48 crores for all languages.## Set in Europe of the 1970s, the film tells the story of Vikramaditya (Prabhas), a palmist who is conflicted between destiny and his love for Prerana (Pooja Hegde).
