Vijay Deverakonda's 'Liger' Trailer Hits Over 50 Million Views In The First 24-Hours

Mumbai, July 22 - Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Pandey-starrer Liger is one of the most anticipated Pan India movies. The sports action drama film is directed by Puri Jagannadh and produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions in association with Puri Connects. ## The trailer of the movie was launched on July 21st and it got a bumper response all over. To put things in numbers, the action-packed trailer scored over 50 million views in the first 24 hours. The Hindi trailer alone received 30.20 million views, followed by Telugu with 16.80 million views, which is a record for tier-2 Telugu actor. ## "Liger" has been shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu and it marks Vijay Deverakonda's Hindi debut. The Hindi trailer views of the movie are surely encouraging for the makers and this should also result in a good opening at the box office. The other versions, including Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, combined scored 3.70 million views. The trailer also got 1.27 million likes during the said period. ## The movie is written and directed by Puri Jagannadh. Vijay Deverakonda stars as the titular MMA fighter boxer alongside Ananya Panday, Ronit Roy, and Ramya Krishna in pivotal roles. Mumbai, July 21 - One of the busiest actresses in Bollywood, Kriti Sanon has reportedly landed another big film and is set to feature alongside Shahid Kapoor in producer Dinesh Vijan's next. ## It was recently reported that Shahid and Dinesh are teaming up for the first time for a unique love story and now, the makers have roped in Kriti to romance the "Kabir Singh" actor. It will be Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon's first film together and this is already looking like a very exciting on-screen pair. ## Kriti has completed the paperwork and the announcement of the movie with its lead pair will be made very soon. "It's a unique love story that called for a fresh casting, and that's when the team unanimously decided on bringing Shahid and Kriti together for the first time. The duo is all excited to commence the journey on this film from October/November this year", reports Pinkvilla. ## The yet-untitled movie will be shot in over a period of 4-5 months in India as well as abroad. Ranbir Kapoor's 'Shamshera' Opening Day Box Office Prediction

Mumbai, July 21 - Ranbir Kapoor returns to the big screen after more than 4 years with Yash Raj Films' Shamshera. The Karan Malhotra-directed period action drama film will be hitting worldwide theaters tomorrow (July 22) in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, also in IMAX. ## Ranbir Kapoor was last seen in Rajkumar Hirani's biographical comedy-drama "Sanju", which was a huge blockbuster at the box office, so the expectations from his upcoming movie are high and should be. The advance booking of the same was opened on July 17 as there was a good buzz for the movie. ## The initial advance booking response for "Shamshera" was decent and at the same time, was better than most of this year's Bollywood movies. However, after that initial promise, the advance booking hasn't picked up as per the wish of the makers as the pre-sales collection of the movie is around 3.50 crores gross only. It might still reach 5 crores before the first show starts. ## The trade experts have been projecting the film to open around 20 crores, which is not looking to happen at this point in time. Taking the advance booking into the account, the movie is tracking to open around 11-12 crores net. However, looking at the subject of the movie which is promising to be a mass entertainer, which often leads to a good spot booking, the movie has a fair chance to take the opening of 15-16 crores. ## Ranbir's last film, "Sanju" opened to a huge 34+ crores, but the scenario was different at that time. This time around, the opening of 15+ crores for "Shamshera" will be considered good and if word of mouth is positive, then the opening weekend has a shot for 55+ crores. The trailer and other promos have left a positive impact on the audiences and this should lead to good footfalls in cinemas. ## In 2022, the biggest opening for a Bollywood movie belongs to Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani, and Tabu's "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2", which opened to 14.11 crores net in May. "Shamshera" is clearly looking to challenge this record and if this happens, then YRF has a winner in its hands. The movie also stars Sanjay Dutt as the antagonist Shuddh Singh and Vaani Kapoor as the female lead among others. ## The story of Shamshera is set in the fictitious city of Kaza, where a warrior tribe is imprisoned, enslaved, and tortured by a ruthless authoritarian general Shudh Singh. This is the story of a man who became a slave, a slave who became a leader, and then a legend for his tribe. He relentlessly fights for his tribe's freedom and dignity. His name is Shamshera. The actor is now looking to set up his future projects. ## Shahid Kapoor already has Ali Abbas Zafar's action thriller film, tentatively titled "Bloody Daddy", and now, according to the latest reports, the "Kabir Singh" star has signed on to producer Dinesh Vijan's next film, which is a unique love story. ## According to a Pinkvilla report, Shahid Kapoor and Dinesh Vijan have been discussing the project for some time now and finally coming together for the first time. The actor has loved a subject and already signed the dotted lines. The movie is slated to go on floors later this year and will release in the second half of 2023. ## The yet untitled upcoming film is touted to be the biggest love story yet for Vijan's Maddock Films and will be shot in multiple locations in India and abroad. All three movies will be made on huge budgets and thus, these movies are carrying a lot of anticipation. ## According to Ormax Cinematix, "Pathaan" is currently the most-awaited Hindi film, followed by Akshay Kumar's Ram Setu, which opens this Diwali. Lokesh has become a star director already in his young career of just 4 films. ## It is said that recently when Salman Khan was in Hyderabad for the shooting of "Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali" had a meeting with Lokesh Kanagaraj and Mythri Movie Makers. During their meeting, the trio reportedly discussed a probable collaboration and have spoken about bouncing back on the idea once both Salman and Lokesh complete their present commitments, according to Bollywood Hungama. ## Earlier, the Hindi remake, to be produced by Murad Khetani, of Thalapathy Vijay's "Master" was offered to Salman Khan, however, he rejected it after initially showing interest in it. It stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles along with Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Mouni Roy. ## The first film of the "Brahmastra" trilogy has multiple cameos including Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. Deepika will reportedly be featured in the climax of the first part and it will set the stage for Part 2. Now, according to the latest reports, the actress has been signed on to play the lead role of Parvati in "Brahmastra 2", which might take off by the end of 2023. ## According to Pinkvilla, "The makers have locked Deepika Padukone to play the character of Parvati. In fact, Deepika will also make a cameo towards the end of Brahmastra, which will eventually take the film into the second part". ## "Brahmastra 2" will be the continuation of the First Part and Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, who play Shiva and Isha, will reprise their roles in the second part as well. The Kabir Khan-directed comedy-drama film made over 960 crores at the worldwide box office and is one of the highest-grossing Indian movies of all time. ## The story of the film was written by KV Vijayendra Prasad, who revealed in a recent interview that he pitched the film to his son SS Rajamouli before he committed it to Salman Khan. Vijayendra Prasad revealed that Rajamouli loved the story and even wished to direct it but things didn't materialize as he was directing Prabhas-fronted "Baahubali" at that time. ## "Before I was about to commit the story to Salman Bhai, I narrated it to my son and tears started rolling from his eyes. I asked if I should keep the story for him, but he asked me to give it away. Once the film was released, he came to me and said 'Papa, you asked me at the wrong time. I was shooting the climax of Bahubali 1 and it was a jittery situation then. Had you asked me 10 days before or later, I would have directed the film", he revealed to Pinkvilla. ## The film, produced by Salman Khan Films and Kabir Khan Films, tells the story of Pawan Kumar Chaturvedi (Salman Khan), a devotee of the Hindu deity Hanuman, who embarks on a journey to take a mute six-year-old Pakistani Muslim girl Shahida (Harshaali Malhotra), separated in India from her mother, back to her hometown.
