Box Office: Republic Day 2023 Witnesses 100+ Crores Domestic Gross Collection For All Movies

Mumbai, January 26 - The Indian box office in 2023 started on a blockbuster note with back-to-back box office hits, led by South Indian films. The tide has turned in the last week of the month as Bollywood biggie Pathaan has started ruling the domestic box office. ## The Shah Rukh Khan-fronted has crossed 140 crores gross in just two days and set a new record for Hindi films. After the historic opening day, "Pathaan" went overdrive on its second day which also happens to be Republic Day with a gross collection in the range of 80 crores, which is unheard numbers. ## The domestic box office on Republic Day was in full flow and it witnessed the biggest day of the year so far with total gross collection coming in the range of 100 crores. While "Pathaan" is singlehandedly ruling the day with a never-seen-before single-day collection, other films are also fairing well, taking the advantage of the big national holiday. ## Darshan's Kannada movie "Kranti" is the second biggest film of the day with a gross collection expected to be in the range of 11 crores. The movie grossed approx. 68 crores opening day in India for all languages, becoming the biggest-ever opener for a Bollywood/Hindi film. ## "Pathaan" scored an equally strong opening day overseas with approx. collection of 37 crores ($4.5 million). Siddharth Anand's directorial scored a mammoth 57 crores net, including 55 crores in Hindi alone on the first day. ## Also starring John Abraham and Deepika Padukone, "Pathaan" scored the biggest-ever opening day not for just the Bollywood but also for a Hindi language film. Also starring Pooja Hegde and Venkatesh, the KKBKKJ teaser has all the ingredients one would love to see in Salman Khan films. ## The teaser begins with the dialogue "Sahi ka hoga sahi"... as Salman is riding the bike in a Desert area then, there is a stylish action block before he says "galat ka galat" while walking against the camera. Salman's character is pulling off some high-octane stunts and is doing everything that an action hero is supposed to do. ## Salman introduces himself that he doesn't have a particular name but people call him Bhaijaan when Pooja Hegde asks him about his name.
