Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan Packs Biggest Pre-Sales For A Bollywood Movie In The Opening Weekend
Mumbai, January 23 - The advance booking of Pathaan is continuing with strong momentum. The Shah Rukh Khan-starrer has already scored the biggest pre-sales for a Bollywood movie post the covid-19 pandemic and now, it has scored the biggest advance sales ever for the opening weekend. ## Directed by Siddharth Anand, "Pathaan's" advance booking for the 5-day opening weekend is around 47 crores gross (as of Jan. 23), which is the highest-ever for a Bollywood film. It has crossed Anand's own directorial "War" which had minted approx. 42 crores gross advance sales for the opening weekend in 2019. ## "Pathaan" is expected to create a run riot at the box office, at least, for the opening weekend. The opening day pre-sales for the movie are currently around 22 crores gross and it is expected to cross "War" opening day by tonight. "Pathaan" is unlikely to beat "KGF 2", however, it may beat or come close to Kannada biggie on national chains in terms of tickets sold. "Pathaan" has sold apporx. 370K tickets in three national chains for more than 1 day to go while "KGF 2" had sold approx. 515K tickets for the opening day. ## Stay tuned...
