Hyderabad, May 31 - Superstar Mahesh Babu's Khaleja has scored an excellent opening at the worldwide box office upon its re-release on May 30. After scoring one of the biggest advances for an Indian re-release title, the movie exceeded expectations on the first day. ## The fantasy action comedy film clocked over 3 crore pre-sales for the opening day in India, and with a fantastic response on spot booking, the film scored approximately 5.75 crores gross domestically on the first day. Overseas, the cult classic grossed around 1 crore, for a worldwide start of approximately 6.75 crores. ## Among the Indian re-release titles, Khaleja scored the third biggest opening worldwide, after Thalapathy Vijay's Ghilli (7.75 crore) and Pawan Kalyan's Gabbar Singh (7+ crore). As reported earlier, the Mahesh Babu starrer shattered records and became the biggest Indian re-release grosser in North America on the opening day itself. ## Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, the movie also stars Anushka Shetty as the female lead, alongside Prakash Raj, Rao Ramesh, Shafi, Sunil, Ali, and Subbaraju in supporting roles. Los Angeles, May 31 - Superstar Mahesh Babu's fantasy action comedy Khaleja was re-released worldwide on May 30 and opened to an excellent collection all over. The movie created a huge buzz and scored one of the biggest pre-sales for an Indian re-release title. ## Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, Khaleja has created a record at the North American box office, becoming the highest-grossing Indian re-release movie in just one day. Prathyangira Cinemas, which released the movie in North America, announced this major milestone on social media. ## The film grossed approximately $58K from premieres, and $36K on the opening day, taking the total collection to $94K. With this, it has beaten the lifetime gross collection of Pawan Kalyan's Gabbar Singh, which minted approximately $66K, to become the biggest Indian re-release grosser in NA. ## Khaleja will become the first film to cross the $100K mark in NA, and this will be a huge result for the movie. The movie is set to hit the big screen on May 30. ## Originally released in 2010, the fantasy action comedy has been remastered in 4K for its re-release, and the response has been overwhelmingly positive. For the opening day alone, Khaleja has scored approximately 3.50+ crore gross advance sales domestically, including the special night shows on May 29. ## This is one of the biggest pre-sales for a re-release title in India, which indicates a big opening. Mumbai, March 22 - Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted action drama Salaar Part 1 - Ceasefire was re-released on March 21 and it did fantastic business at the domestic box office. Directed by Prashanth Neel, the film was originally released in December 2023. ## Salaar: Ceasfire re-released without any special occasion, an unusual Telugu thing. On its first day, the film grossed approximately 3 crore in India, which is the biggest re-release opener for a Prabhas-starrer. It wasn't released in North India, otherwise, the opening could have been higher. ## The advance booking gross of Salaar: Ceasefire was one of the highest for an Indian title which led the foundation of a very good opening. The movie was expected to score ever higher opening but lack of release in North probably reduced its potential, though the numbers are still fantastic and easily the biggest opening for a re-release title in India in 2025. ## During its original run, the action blockbuster scored approximately 618 crores at the worldwide box office, including 488 crores in India.
