Bengaluru, February 24 - Kannada superstar Yash has teamed up with national-award-winning director Geethu Mohandas for a gangster action drama film Toxic – A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups. The movie has been in production since last year with plans to release in 2025. ## Recently, it was reported that Toxic would be a bilingual film and now, it has been confirmed the same. After the record-breaking success of KGF 2, Yash's popularity has soared beyond the borders, and considering that Toxic is being aimed at a global audience. ## It has been confirmed that Toxic is being simultaneously shot in the English and Kannada languages, making it the first major Kannada title to do this. Bengaluru, January 9 - After scripting history 3 years ago with KGF: Chapter 2, Kannada superstar Yash will return to the big screen with gangster action drama Toxic - A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, directed by national award-winning director Geetu Mohandas. ## Produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, Toxic is currently being wrapped and is expected to be released in December this year. Meanwhile, the makers of the film treated fans with the first look glimpse on the occasion of Yash's birthday on January 8. ## While the first look glimpse didn't reveal much about the plot, it has helped raise the buzz after the blockbuster response on social media. The look of Yash, which is very similar to his widely popular Rocky Bhai in KGF, and the background music have increased expectations. ## On YouTube, the blockbuster Glimpse scored a huge 36+ million views in the first 24 hours which is said to be the highest for an Indian film first Look Glimpse on a single channel. Mumbai, December 21 - The Indian box office once again is set to be on fire in December 2025 as superstar Yash-fronted gangster action drama Toxic is more or less confirmed to hit the big screen during the month. There is James Cameron's Avatar 3 already slated to release. ## Toxic, directed by National Award-winning director Geethu Mohandas, is currently on floors. It was originally announced for an April 2025 release but due to the delay in production, the film was pushed back. According to the latest report by Pinkvilla, the makers are now aiming to release it in December while the exact date will be locked soon. ## Yash who has also produced the film with KVN Productions, is reportedly in talks with 20th Century Fox for overseas distribution. "The discussions are in very nascent stages but the intent is to make Toxic a global project. Yash strongly believes that the story-telling pattern and visuals of Toxic are right up there with international projects and is exploring the possibilities of partnering with a global giant for a massive release", reports Pinkvilla. ## Meanwhile, Yash also has a mega project Ramayana in the production stage. The actor is presently working on the gangster action drama Toxic with director Geetu Mohandas and director Nitesh Tiwari's epic Ramayana. ## During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the actor responded to a question asked by THR India Editor Anupama Chopra who quoted a "great admirer" of Yash, Indian cricketer Shubman Gill, who wants to know when KGF 3 is going to happen?".## The actor said KGF 3 will surely happen once he finishes Toxic and Ramayana. Rishab Shetty-fronted action thriller Kantara won the Best Actor award to Shetty and the Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.
