Producer Vijay Kiragandur Shares Update On The Potential Release Date of 'Kantara: Chapter 1'

Bangalore, December 12 - Hombale Film led by Vijay Kiragandur has a couple of huge blockbusters in the pipeline. The studio has Prabhas-fronted "Salaar Ceasefire: Part 1" is ready to release on December 22nd and the team is busy with promotional activities for the same.

Hombale Films' next big release is Rishab Shetty-directed and fronted Kantara: Chapter 1, a prequel to the path-breaking blockbuster "Kantara". The film became such a monstrous blockbuster against not much expectations that the makers announced the prequel to it earlier this year with Shetty returning to direct and headline it.



"Kantara: Chapter 1" was recently launched and the shoot for the same will commence soon. During a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, producer Vijay Kiragandur shared a big update regarding the potential release date of the film which is now one of the most anticipated Pan India films.

When asked about when "Kantara 2" is expected to be released, the producer said that they are planning to release the film in the last quarter of 2024 or the first quarter of 2025. Given that late 2024 already has a couple of big entertainers scheduled to release, it is highly likely that "Kantara 2" will be released in early 2025 on a grand scale.

The first film was a major hit in Kannada, Hindi, and Telugu, so the expectations will be high from the prequel, especially in Hindi and Telugu. The makers recently shared the first look teaser of the film which met with a unanimous positive response.
