KGF Star, Yash Donates INR 1.50 Crore To 3000 Workers Of Kannada Film Industry

Bangalore, June 1, 2021: Kannada film superstar, Yash has come forward to help the industry workers in a time of crisis. The KGF star has decided to donate a sum of Rs. 1.50 crores to the workers of the Kannada film industry, who become jobless as there is no shoot due to the lockdown. ## As a great gesture, Yash will be donating a sum of Rs. 5000 to each of the 3000 industry workers in their personal bank accounts. Bangalore, May 1, 2021: Kannada actor Arjun Gowda has come forward to help people in the covid-19 crisis. The actor has launched his own ambulance service, called Project Smile Trust, to ferry covid-19 patients to hospitals amid the shortage of ambulance service in Karnataka state which is witnessing a huge surge in coronavirus cases. ## Apart from taking patients to hospitals, the actor has also decided to help in carrying out the final rites of those who have lost their lives due to the virus. ## "I've been on the road for a couple of days and I've already helped out around half a dozen people with assistance for final rites. We want to ensure that we help out anyone in need irrespective of where they come from or what religion they practice", he told Bangalore Times.## Arjun also took to social media and said that he has taken proper training before starting his healthcare service. In a view of the rise of the covid-19 cases, the Karnataka government has decided to take the necessary actions to control the situation and announced some stringent guidelines which came into effect yesterday. As per these new guidelines, only 50% of the seating capacity in movie theatres will be allowed, which has certainly come as a big shocker to the owners of movie theatres, producers, and actors.## On April 2nd, Puneeth Rajkumar starrer "Yuvarathnaa" was released and doing very well at the box office across all the theaters of Karnataka. However, with new guidelines for theaters, the viewership of Yuvarathnaa will surely get affected. Yesterday, Puneeth Rajkumar and director Santosh Ananddram, came live on Facebook and urged the state government to withdraw the 50% occupancy rule in theatres. ## Puneeth questioned the government as to why the stringent rules are just for movie theatres. "When we see, in election campaign meetings, people everywhere gathering, but we can't see any such rules there, why it is only for us?" the actor asked. ## Director Santosh said, "Without giving any hint, or information if such decisions are taken then where should the producers go? We have just released our film and it is really doing well. Now, what will happen to us?" After a long forced break due to the covid-19 pandemic, it was around a month ago that the team of the magnum opus KGF: Chapter 2 resumed shooting in a studio in Bengaluru with most of the primary cast members.## The team has now set sail for a pivotal schedule that will be shot in Mangaluru. The Central Crime Branch had allegedly begun their probe into the drug trafficking case and have arrested several people so far. ## On Tuesday (September 15), Karnataka Police conducted searches at former Karnataka minister late Jeevaraj Alva's son Aditya Alva, who is also the brother-in-law of Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi.## Aditya Alva is named one of the 12 accused in the Sandalwood drug scandal.## Speaking to India Today, joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) said, "Search warrant was taken and search being conducted at Aditya Alva house near Hebbal called 'House of Lives'."## The development comes a day after Kannada actress Ragini Dwivedi arrested last week in the police crackdown against drug abuse in the film industry.
