This is rather quick than anyone would have thought and if proven true, it will join Marvel's packed Phase 5 slate in 2024 alongside Captain America: New World Order, Thunderbolts, Fantastic Four, and the recently announced Deadpool 3. ## Now, what is interesting about the "Spider-Man 4" rumour is the timeline it will be set in in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). As per the same report, Spider-Man 4 story will more likely be a street-level story, which may actually handle the aftermath of Marvel's Disney+ series "Daredevil: Born Again". How the Disney+ show will play a role in the upcoming film, remains to be seen. ## The fact that MCU's Phase 5 slate will have to make major changes in release dates if the rumor about "Spider-Man 4" meets reality. The already announced "Thunderbolts" is slated for July 26, 2024, only 12 days after the rumored Spider-Man release. But the good thing is, Marvel is used to such developments as the same thing happened last year when major Marvel movies were shifted to make way for one another, and interestingly, "No Way Home" was the center point of that change. The "Multiverse Saga" has been confirmed to end the Marvel Studios' multiverse saga but there are delays in plans after recent development at the studio. ## According to The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel Studios/Disney has pushed back the release dates of its major films, including "Secret Wars". It is said that Blade, which was supposed to release on November 3, 2023, will now be hitting theaters on September 6, 2024. The movie was to start production in 2022, but the search for the director is still on and the production has been delayed to early 2023. ## The delay in "Blade" production has created a cascade in Marvel's schedule. The untitled Deadpool 3 movie is moving to November 8, 2024, from September 6, 2024. The film stars Ryan Reynolds and has brought Hugh Jackman out of retirement as Wolverine. It has Shawn Levy set as a director.## Fantastic Four has been pushed back several months to February 14, 2025, back from November 8, 2024. The film, one of Marvel's most anticipated, has yet to cast the four leads. Los Angeles, October 11 - Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock clearly doesn't want to play Black Adam who does not fight Superman in the DC Extend Universe (DCEU) on the big screen going ahead.## In a recent interview (via Variety), Johnson was asked if he intends to make a movie where Black Adam fights Superman. "Absolutely. That is the whole point of this, man", he said, "I have been saying for some time, there's a new era in the DC Universe that's about to begin". ## "And what I meant by that was introducing a brand new character. It's not a sequel, not an existing IP. It was... you know, Black Adam. Two years ago the world had no idea who he was. We did, but not the rest of the masses out there. What I really meant by, 'This is a new era in the DC Universe', is listening to the fans. And doing our best to give the fans what they want", he added.## Johnson further said, "I have been listening and I've been wanting to address fans for years", regarding the desire to have Black Adam and Superman fight on the big screen.## "I've been waiting for someone to step up and address the fans and say, 'Hey, we hear you", Johnson added. The 4K remastered version of the film brings dazzling results at the box office as it was re-released on fewer screens than the other recent re-releases but has scored way higher than those films. ## The movie was re-released in 51 international markets (without China) along with the USA. It grossed $23.3 million in the USA and $48.6 million over its two weeks of reissue. India has now confirmed it will hit theaters on October 20, Thursday in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. ## Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, "Black Adam" marks Johnson's DC debut as he plays antihero Teth-Adam/Black Adam in the film. Produced by New Line Cinema, DC Films, Seven Bucks Productions, and FlynnPictureCo., the movie is a spin-off from Shazam! (2019) and the 11th film in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU).## Warner Bros. Los Angeles, September 26 - Amid the anticipation of Avatar: The Way of Water, Disney re-released its predecessor Avatar in theaters and getting rich rewards at the box office. ## It has been 13 years since AVATAR was originally released in 2009, but the striking world of Pandora is forcing people to visit theaters to watch the 4K remastered version. The film generated $10 million in North America and $20.5 million internationally for $30.5 million worldwide over the opening weekend of its re-release. ## "We're talking about a film that's 13 years old, which people can watch at home. The big draw is the Imax presentation. 'Avatar' is serving as a reminder of how cool the imagery of Pandora looks on the big screen", says Paul Dergarabedian, a senior media analyst with Comscore. ## The response to the Avatar re-release has been such huge that it beat the new releases as well as the re-release of some of the biggest blockbusters of all time. The movie came above Florence Pugh's "Don't Worry Darling" which grossed $30 million worldwide, though it was the number one movie in North America. ## In terms of recent re-releases, ticket sales for "Avatar", which played in 1,980 theaters, came in 85% ahead of the re-release for "Spider-Man: No Way Home", which grossed $5.4 million from nearly 3900 theaters earlier this month. Domestically, "Avatar" also came above the combined gross collection of the rerelease of "No Way Home" and "Star Wars: Rogue One".## As per Variety, the remastered version of "Avatar" took the No. 1 spot in smaller markets like France ($2.9 million), Italy ($1.5 million), Singapore, and Thailand. Other top territories were Germany ($1.3 million), the United Kingdom ($1.3 million), and Korea ($1.3 million). In India, it grossed approx. $700K over the weekend.## The encouraging box office response to "Avatar" has almost confirmed the massive opening of "Avatar: The Way of Water" which opens in December this year. "Had the re-release underperformed that would be the first indicator that — uh oh — there may be a problem [for the sequel].
