North American Title Match, More Set For 5/2 WWE NXT, Updated Lineup

Prepare for a night of electrifying action as WWE NXT announces a lineup of highly-anticipated bouts for their May 2 episode. The reigning NXT North American Champion, Wes Lee, will put his title on the line against the formidable Drew Gulak. ## Lee emerged victorious against Charlie Dempsey in his previous title defense, but Gulak has been hot on his heels, fueled by a burning desire to claim the championship. In what is sure to be a high-octane encounter, Tyler Bate has pledged his support for Lee, agreeing to be in his corner.## The fiery feud between former tag team partners, Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne, is set to take center stage once again. Jayne infamously sabotaged Dolin's shot at the NXT Women's Championship in a ladder match, igniting a personal vendetta that has been boiling over ever since. As tensions continue to escalate, Dolin has vowed to settle the score by bashing Jayne's face in, with her brother at ringside for support.## In another thrilling matchup, Joe Gacy and Joe Coffey will go head-to-head in a must-see bout with high stakes. A win for Gacy means that The Dyad, comprised of Rip Fowler and Jagger Reid, will get a chance to challenge the reigning NXT Tag Team Champions, Gallus, for their coveted titles. However, if Coffey prevails, The Dyad will be barred from ever challenging for the titles as long as the Gallus duo are champions. ## To stay updated with all the latest combat sports news, add Sacnilk.com to your Google News feeds and follow us on Twitter.

She dismissed Roxanne as outdated and declared that Indi's fifteen minutes of fame were over, labeling her underdog story as tedious. She even went as far as to suggest that Indi could return to wearing her "boo boo face." Tiffany stated confidently that it was her time to shine. ## Meanwhile, Duke Hudson questioned Andre about his plans for their upcoming match against Bron. Andre revealed that he was still collecting his thoughts, but Duke reminded him that it was time for action. He acknowledged Bron's animalistic and dominant nature, but reminded Andre of his role as a mentor and beacon to many students. Andre declared that he was ready to give Bron a beating that was as large as a Chase University campus. ## Andre Chase (with Duke Hudson) Vs Bron Breakker ## As the bell rings, Chase launches a flurry of punches and kicks towards Bron, who picks him up but Chase quickly gets back on his feet. However, Chase retaliates with more punches and kicks before executing a textbook back drop on Bron. ## Bron gets back on his feet and charges at Chase with another Irish whip, but this time he misses his shoulder in the corner. Taking advantage of the opportunity, Chase dropkicks Bron into the turnbuckles and drops him onto the top rope. Chase follows it up with a side Russian leg sweep and the crowd roars as it's time for the C-H-A-S-E-U stomp. However, Bron is not amused by the spelling and quickly blocks Chase's boot before hitting him with a short arm clothesline. ## Bron picks Chase up and delivers a press power slam that shakes the ring. He then applies the Steiner Recliner, a submission hold that targets the neck and back, and it's not long before Chase taps out, unable to withstand the pain any longer. ## WINNER: Bron Breakker ## A video package showcasing Carmelo Hayes airs, highlighting his in-ring skills and accomplishments. ## As McKenzis is reporting from the backstage area, she spots Ilja Dragunov arriving. ## Suddenly, Dijak launches a surprise attack on Ilja, slamming him into a ladder against the wall. Lyra lands a round kick, followed by another fisherman's suplex for a near fall. ## Cora attempts an inside cradle, but only gets a near fall. She flips Lyra to her face and avoids a DDT. Lyra hits a handspring round kick, but misses the spinning back heel kick when Cora goes to the floor. Cora drops Lyra's arm on the ropes and goes to retrieve her stick from the steps. However, the referee intervenes and Lyra misses a spinning back heel kick. Cora clips Lyra's leg and hits a DDT for the three-count pinfall. ## WINNER: Cora Jade ## Grayson Waller makes his way to the backstage area. Shortly after, Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams arrive as well. We cut to commercial break. ## After the break, we see Tony and Channing driving. Channing asks Tony if he hears anything suspicious, but Tony doesn't seem to notice anything. ## The two suddenly pull over and check the trunk of their car. They encounter Kit and Elton. Waller attempts a German suplex, but Hayes blocks it and hits him with a series of kicks to the leg. Hayes shows his agility with a springboard DDT, but Waller kicks out of the pin. Waller gains control with a sit-out powerbomb, but Hayes manages to kick out at the last moment. The momentum shifts again as Hayes hits Waller with a Codebreaker and sends him to the floor. ## Waller takes advantage of the outside environment and puts Hayes on the announce table. Waller climbs the turnbuckles and delivers an elbow drop, breaking the table in the process. The action returns to the ring, and Waller gets another near fall. However, his knee gives out during an attempted slingshot rolling cutter, giving Hayes an opening to hit him with Nothing but Net for the victory. Despite Waller's attempts to use a chair and the environment to his advantage, Hayes manages to come out on top with his athleticism and quick thinking. ## WINNER: Carmelo Hayes (retains championship) ## Following the match, Trick joins Hayes in the ring to celebrate their victory. Hayes brags about his success, saying he's wearing all black and chopping bodies left and right. He then calls out Bron Breakker, challenging him to a match at Battleground in his hometown. ## Hayes and Trick eagerly await Bron's arrival as his music plays, but when he enters the ring, he attacks Trick with a spear. Bron then slams Hayes down with a press power slam and puts Trick in the Steiner Recliner. In a shocking move, Bron spears Hayes through the wall, sending him crashing under the HBalKony. ## Later, Roxanne Perez shares her passion for WWE, saying she wears bows in her hair for the little girls in the crowd who dream of becoming wrestlers. Coffey is skeptical but Gacy offers a deal: if he beats Coffey in a one-on-one match, The Dyad will get their tag title match. However, if Coffey wins, The Dyad will never get another shot while Gallus are the champions. The show ends with a flashback to when Hayes called out Bron, only to suffer a brutal attack at his hands. ## Brooks Jensen and Kiana James Vs Josh Briggs and Fallon Henley The match kicks off with a lock-up between the two men. Major Changes Made To WWE Raw In Chicago, Female Talent Segments Cut And Match Finishes Altered

The wrestling world was abuzz with rumors and speculation after it was revealed that Vince McMahon, working remotely from home, made several significant changes to WWE Raw's broadcast from Chicago. ## According to PWInsider, McMahon altered finishes to multiple matches, making changes to both the build-up and the actual outcome of certain bouts. The match between The Street Profits and the team of Cedric Alexander & Shelton Benjamin was reportedly added to the show after McMahon's revisions. ## However, the changes weren't limited to the in-ring action. The report also stated that "a number of segments" featuring female talent were cut from the show, including a planned backstage segment with Candice LeRae and Piper Niven. Another segment featuring Adam Pearce, Sonya Deville, and other female talent was reportedly scrapped to make more time for the six-woman tag team match with Damage CTRL. ## Interestingly, this isn't the first time that LeRae and Niven have been cut from a WWE broadcast at the last minute. They were also removed from the Raw after WrestleMania, a show which McMahon was also reportedly backstage for. Adding to the mystery, Tamina Snuka was spotted at Raw, leading some to speculate that she may have been involved in a segment that was ultimately cut. ## To stay updated with all the latest combat sports news, add Sacnilk.com to your Google News feeds and follow us on Twitter.

Deonna Purrazzo Sets Sights On Dream Match Against Mercedes Mone At Multiverse 2

At Rebellion, IMPACT Wrestling made a huge announcement that has sent shockwaves through the wrestling world. The promotion has once again partnered with NJPW for Multiverse 2, which is set to take place on August 20. ## One wrestler who played a major role at Multiverse 1 is Deonna Purrazzo. She earned a shot at the IMPACT Knockouts Championship after defeating Masha Slamovich, Gisele Shaw, and Miyu Yamashita in a four-way bout. Purrazzo went on to defeat Jordynne Grace for the vacant Knockouts Title at Rebellion, solidifying her status as one of the top wrestlers in the world. ## In an interview with Jeremy Lambert and Joel Pearl on Fightful's In The Weeds, Purrazzo was asked which wrestler she would like to face at Multiverse 2. With her eyes set on even greater heights, Purrazzo responded with a confident smile, "I'm ready to take on anyone NJPW throws my way. I want to prove that I'm the best and I'm not afraid to take on any challenge." ## "Obviously, the first person everyone thinks about is Mercedes Mone. That is a dream match of mine, for years now. If that is an opportunity, I would be remised not to be like, 'Yes, that's what I want, that's what I need.' If Mayu wins, I've been in a match with Mayu, she beat me at Ring of Honor to challenge for the then Women of Honor Championship. There is some history there that could be really fun to revisit if Mayu ends up defeating Mercedes," she said. ## To stay updated with all the latest combat sports news, add Sacnilk.com to your Google News feeds and follow us on Twitter.

Xavier Woods At A Crossroads After Challenging Gunther For Intercontinental Championship

During the latest episode of WWE SmackDown on April 21, Xavier Woods made a surprising move by challenging Gunther for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. ## This was a rare moment for Woods, who had mostly been involved in tag team competitions as a member of the New Day, and had limited opportunities for solo matches. Despite his valiant efforts, Woods was unable to defeat the formidable Gunther and lost the match. ## In a WWE Digital Exclusive interview following the bout, Woods expressed his uncertainty about his future in the WWE. He seemed to be at a loss about what to do next and what his next move should be. ## “This was my shot. I hadn’t had a shot at the Intercontinental Championship since I’d been here. I got here in 2010. It’s 2023. I had one shot at Gunther, I had one shot to become champion, and I failed, and I didn’t do it. I have no Kofi here, I have no [Big] E here. ## We’re all about the power of positivity, but it’s not always easy. I don’t know what to do next, besides move forward. What is moving forward? I have no idea. But shots like this for me, specifically guys like me, come once in a career apparently. So I don’t know if I’ll ever get a shot at that again. So yes, Gunther won. Yes, Gunther is the Intercontinental Champion. I am not. So we go to work," Woods said. ## To stay updated with all the latest combat sports news, add Sacnilk.com to your Google News feeds and follow us on Twitter.
