WWE NXT Results April 25, 2023 & Winners

The day begins with a delightful Spring Break picnic where Hank Walker and Tank Ledger engage in lively conversation. The aroma of grilled meat wafts through the air as they indulge in juicy burgers and hotdogs.

As the sun starts to set, they move on to catch the football matches that are airing tonight. The excitement in their voices is palpable as they dissect each team's strategy and speculate on the winners. Ivy Nile, known for her brawn, challenges the guys to an arm-wrestling match, and they oblige. The crowd cheers as the competitors put their muscles to the test.



Javier Bernal, lured by the tempting aroma of Dabba Kato's food, commits the mistake of taking a bite. His face contorts in agony as the spicy flavor overwhelms him. The women take a break from the action to discuss the upcoming mixed tag match, analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of each team. They offer their predictions and eagerly await the outcome.

The group resumes their games, this time playing cornhole, as they chat about another upcoming match. The clanking of bean bags hitting the board creates a rhythmic sound that blends with their chatter. As the night draws to a close, Javier Bernal finds himself tossed into a nearby fountain, much to the amusement of everyone else. The car that will transport the losers is brought out, and they all stare at it with a mix of dread and resignation.

Channing Lorenzo and Tony D'Angelo Vs Kit Wilson and Elton Prince in a Trunk Match

Before the match even begins, Channing and Tony launch a surprise attack on Elton and Kit. Kit retaliates by running Tony into the apron while Elton delivers a shoulder to Channing. The tide quickly turns as Channing and Tony gain the upper hand, with Channing delivering knees to Kit and Tony punching Elton. Despite some fierce resistance, Elton and Kit find themselves on the receiving end of the punishment as Tony clotheslines Kit out of the ring and Channing sends Elton tumbling to the floor.

As Channing and Tony move in to finish the job and drag Elton and Kit towards the car, the duo rallies and manages to fight off the attack. Tony and Channing decide to up the ante by bringing a table into the mix, but their plan is thwarted when Elton sends Channing crashing into the ring post and Tony into the steps. Not willing to give up, Channing and Tony grab a crowbar and trash can lid, but their aim is off and they miss their intended targets.

In a surprising turn of events, Kit and Elton manage to turn the tables on their attackers and send them flying into the ball pool. Channing delivers a back senton using a paddleboard onto Kit and Elton, but Tony hits back with a paddleboard of his own. Kit manages to fend off Channing and sends him flying out of the ring before going toe-to-toe with Tony. Meanwhile, Elton applies a Boston Crab to Channing, but the latter manages to escape and turn the tables.

As the battle intensifies, Tony and Channing use a chair to deliver a devastating blow to Kit and Elton's backs. Kit retaliates by putting Channing in the tree of woe and hitting Tony with the chair a few times. Elton drops Channing onto Kit's knees, and the duo tries to suplex Tony onto a trash can with devastating results. In a final act of retribution, Channing is taken to the car and the trunk is closed on him. Kit is hit by the crowbar and placed in the trunk as well, while Elton is subjected to a brutal Bada Bing Bada Boom through a table before being locked in the car with his partner.

WINNERS: Tony D'Angelo and Channing Lorenzo

After the match, Tony and Channing swiftly drove away with Elton and Kit trapped in the trunk of the car.

As Tiffany Stratton arrived, she boldly declared her intention to take over the women's division. She dismissed Roxanne as outdated and declared that Indi's fifteen minutes of fame were over, labeling her underdog story as tedious. She even went as far as to suggest that Indi could return to wearing her "boo boo face." Tiffany stated confidently that it was her time to shine.

Meanwhile, Duke Hudson questioned Andre about his plans for their upcoming match against Bron. Andre revealed that he was still collecting his thoughts, but Duke reminded him that it was time for action. He acknowledged Bron's animalistic and dominant nature, but reminded Andre of his role as a mentor and beacon to many students. Andre declared that he was ready to give Bron a beating that was as large as a Chase University campus.

As the bell rings, Chase launches a flurry of punches and kicks towards Bron, who picks him up but Chase quickly gets back on his feet. Bron runs Chase into the turnbuckles and delivers a series of shoulder thrusts. With an Irish whip, Bron sends Chase to the opposite corner and charges at him with another shoulder. However, Chase retaliates with more punches and kicks before executing a textbook back drop on Bron.

Bron gets back on his feet and charges at Chase with another Irish whip, but this time he misses his shoulder in the corner. Taking advantage of the opportunity, Chase dropkicks Bron into the turnbuckles and drops him onto the top rope. Chase follows it up with a side Russian leg sweep and the crowd roars as it's time for the C-H-A-S-E-U stomp. However, Bron is not amused by the spelling and quickly blocks Chase's boot before hitting him with a short arm clothesline.

Bron picks Chase up and delivers a press power slam that shakes the ring. He then applies the Steiner Recliner, a submission hold that targets the neck and back, and it's not long before Chase taps out, unable to withstand the pain any longer.

WINNER: Bron Breakker

A video package showcasing Carmelo Hayes airs, highlighting his in-ring skills and accomplishments.

As McKenzis is reporting from the backstage area, she spots Ilja Dragunov arriving.

Suddenly, Dijak launches a surprise attack on Ilja, slamming him into a ladder against the wall. He then proceeds to ram him into more ladders, causing significant damage. Dijak mocks Ilja, asking him how he feels. He attempts to trap Ilja behind a metal grate and finally succeeds, prompting referees to intervene and try to stop him.

Cora Jade Vs Lyra Valkyria

Cora attempts a clothesline, but Lyra dodges and responds with a flurry of punches. Lyra continues with kicks in the corner, but Cora manages to reverse an Irish whip. However, Cora runs into Lyra's boot and gets tossed with a hip toss. Lyra follows up with a springboard crossbody, nearly scoring a pinfall. Lyra chokes Cora in the corner and delivers a kick to the midsection, followed by a back elbow for another near fall. Lyra executes a snapmare and boots Cora in the back of the head, earning another near fall. Lyra tries for a rollup, but only manages to get another near fall. She continues with a kick and some European uppercuts, then slams Cora for a pin attempt. However, Cora escapes, causing Lyra to miss a springboard move. Cora takes advantage and kicks Lyra in the ropes, earning a near fall with a pin attempt. Cora sends Lyra face-first into the mat and hits a springboard double stomp on her back for another near fall.

Cora executes a snapmare and kicks Lyra in the back, but only manages to get a near fall. Lyra retaliates with an Irish whip and a sunset flip, but Cora kicks out. Cora stretches Lyra, but Lyra takes her down with a wrist lock. Lyra misses a splash into the corner, allowing Cora to hit a knee and a near fall. Cora slaps Lyra in the face, attempting to do it again, but Lyra blocks it and slaps Cora back. Lyra delivers a series of kicks and hits a Northern Lights suplex. She rolls through for a second one, then a fisherman's buster, which Cora blocks. Cora tries to knee Lyra against the ropes, but Lyra counters, sending Cora over the top rope to the floor. Lyra follows up with a dropkick through the ropes, then sends Cora back into the ring and hits a missile dropkick. Lyra lands a round kick, followed by another fisherman's suplex for a near fall.

Cora attempts an inside cradle, but only gets a near fall. She flips Lyra to her face and avoids a DDT. Lyra hits a handspring round kick, but misses the spinning back heel kick when Cora goes to the floor. Cora drops Lyra's arm on the ropes and goes to retrieve her stick from the steps. However, the referee intervenes and Lyra misses a spinning back heel kick. Cora clips Lyra's leg and hits a DDT for the three-count pinfall.

WINNER: Cora Jade

Grayson Waller makes his way to the backstage area. Shortly after, Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams arrive as well. We cut to commercial break.

After the break, we see Tony and Channing driving. Channing asks Tony if he hears anything suspicious, but Tony doesn't seem to notice anything.

The two suddenly pull over and check the trunk of their car. They encounter Kit and Elton. Tony inquires about the noise, but Channing dismisses it as nothing.

Grayson Waller Vs Carmelo Hayes (with Trick Williams) for the NXT Men's Championship

The match begins with both Grayson Waller and Carmelo Hayes attempting waist locks and standing switches. Waller misses a Northern Lariat, and Hayes capitalizes with a drop kick. Waller regains control and sends Hayes to the mat, but Hayes counters with a rollup, and Waller narrowly escapes with a near fall. Waller uses the ropes to force a break of a crossface. Hayes blocks Waller's kick, and Waller responds with a punch. Hayes executes a springboard clothesline, followed by a suplex. In the corner, Hayes runs into Waller's boots, but he manages to block Waller and puts him in the ropes for a Fadeaway. However, Waller moves out of the way, and Hayes falls off the ropes. Waller goes under the ring and throws a chair into the ring. Hayes catches it, but Waller hits Trick with another chair while Hayes checks on him. Waller slides to the floor and clotheslines Hayes.

They return to the ring, and Waller continues his attack with a punch and forearm in the corner, placing Hayes in the tree of woe. Waller targets Hayes' leg with kicks and a step-over toe hold. Hayes fights back with chops, but Waller retaliates with a forearm and a dropkick to the knee. Waller kicks Hayes, and Hayes responds with an inside cradle for a near fall. Waller hits Hayes with a chop and elbow to the back of the head, followed by a suplex for a near fall. Waller applies a single leg crab, and Hayes uses kicks to the head to escape the hold. Waller kicks Hayes again and lifts him onto his shoulders, but Hayes gets to his feet and sends Waller into the ropes. Hayes finishes with a kick to the back of the head and a successful Fadeaway.

The match intensifies as Waller and Hayes exchange strikes and moves. Waller attempts a German suplex, but Hayes blocks it and hits him with a series of kicks to the leg. Hayes shows his agility with a springboard DDT, but Waller kicks out of the pin. Waller gains control with a sit-out powerbomb, but Hayes manages to kick out at the last moment. The momentum shifts again as Hayes hits Waller with a Codebreaker and sends him to the floor.

Waller takes advantage of the outside environment and puts Hayes on the announce table. Waller climbs the turnbuckles and delivers an elbow drop, breaking the table in the process. The action returns to the ring, and Waller gets another near fall. However, his knee gives out during an attempted slingshot rolling cutter, giving Hayes an opening to hit him with Nothing but Net for the victory. Despite Waller's attempts to use a chair and the environment to his advantage, Hayes manages to come out on top with his athleticism and quick thinking.

WINNER: Carmelo Hayes (retains championship)

Following the match, Trick joins Hayes in the ring to celebrate their victory. Hayes brags about his success, saying he's wearing all black and chopping bodies left and right. He then calls out Bron Breakker, challenging him to a match at Battleground in his hometown.

Hayes and Trick eagerly await Bron's arrival as his music plays, but when he enters the ring, he attacks Trick with a spear. Bron then slams Hayes down with a press power slam and puts Trick in the Steiner Recliner. In a shocking move, Bron spears Hayes through the wall, sending him crashing under the HBalKony.

Later, Roxanne Perez shares her passion for WWE, saying she wears bows in her hair for the little girls in the crowd who dream of becoming wrestlers. She vows to win back the NXT Women's Championship not just for herself, but for all those little girls. The show then shifts to a recap of last week's events involving Fallon Henley, Josh Briggs, Brooks Jensen 2.0, and Kiana James.

Returning to the present, Joe Gacy stops Coffey and Ava to propose a fair match for The Dyad against Gallus. Coffey is skeptical but Gacy offers a deal: if he beats Coffey in a one-on-one match, The Dyad will get their tag title match. However, if Coffey wins, The Dyad will never get another shot while Gallus are the champions. The show ends with a flashback to when Hayes called out Bron, only to suffer a brutal attack at his hands.

Brooks Jensen and Kiana James Vs Josh Briggs and Fallon Henley The match kicks off with a lock-up between the two men. Brooks lands some punches on Josh, making him stagger around the ring. They lock up again and Brooks strikes Josh with a punch, causing him to have trouble standing. Brooks applies a side headlock and a shoulder tackle, but Josh manages to stay on his feet. Josh responds with a shoulder tackle of his own followed by a reverse atomic drop. Brooks fights back with a forearm and an Irish whip, followed by a splash into the corner. He then hits another Irish whip, sending Josh over the top rope and onto the floor.

Brooks gets back in the ring, and Kiana tags in to face Fallon, so it's time for the women to take over. Fallon begins with a Thesz Press, followed by a back elbow. Kiana retaliates with a waist lock, but Fallon reverses it with a standing switch. However, Fallon misses a dropkick, and Kiana takes advantage by hitting her with a knee to the midsection before sending her into the corner. Kiana performs a backflip, and Fallon responds with a clothesline and a jumping thrust kick to the back of her head.

Brooks stops Fallon from performing a sliding punch, and Josh gets involved by hitting him with a dropkick while Fallon hits Kiana with a punch. Brooks then sends Josh into the ring steps, catching him off guard. Brooks catches Kiana off the apron, and Kiana kicks Fallon. Josh retaliates with a shoulder tackle off the apron to Brooks, and Fallon does the same to Kiana. Fallon hits Kiana with a forearm, and Brooks has some words for her. Fallon then applies a waist lock, but Kiana sends her into the ropes and kicks her. Kiana follows it up with an Irish whip, sending Fallon face first into the mat, and then kicks her in the corner. Fallon fights back with kicks, but Kiana prevents Josh from making the tag, and Brooks pulls him off the apron.

Kiana hits Fallon with punches and shoulders in the corner before sending her to the floor. Brooks punches Josh and gets a near fall. He then applies a wrist lock, and Josh fights back with punches. Brooks works on Josh's back, applying a nerve hold. Josh hits Brooks with punches, and Brooks retaliates with a knee lift, but Josh manages to kick out at the last second. Brooks continues with forearms, and Josh responds with a forearm of his own. They exchange punches, and both men fall into their respective corners, making the tag. Fallon hits chops and a series of kicks on Kiana, followed by an enzuigiri. Fallon misses an elbow in the corner, and Kiana responds with a forearm to the back, then sends her to the mat with a running hair takedown. Kiana hits a jawbreaker and snake eyes, and then tells Brooks to hit Fallon. Brooks hesitates but says he has to do it, and Josh takes advantage by hitting him with a running shoulder tackle.

Josh hits Brooks with punches and a boot to the head, followed by a side slam and a splash. Brooks grabs Josh's leg, and Kiana says something to him. Fallon takes care of Kiana and sends her into the ring steps. Brooks then hits Josh with a spinning heel kick, and both men are down. They exchange forearms and punches, and Brooks hits him with clotheslines. Josh hits him with an axe kick, but Brooks responds with a forearm. Brooks misses a clothesline when Josh drops to a knee, and Josh capitalizes with a Northern Lariat, followed by a clothesline and brainbuster for a near fall. Kiana sends Fallon into the apron and hands Brooks a bag.

WINNER: Fallon Henley and Josh Briggs

Oba Femi Vs Oro Mensah

The match begins as Oro and Oba lock up in the center of the ring. Oro starts with a wrist lock, but Oba quickly reverses it. Oba grounds Oro with a series of kicks to the chest, but Oro fights back with a forearm and some leg kicks. Oro follows up with a European uppercut, but Oba retaliates by sending Oro flying across the ring with a powerful toss.

Oba charges Oro with a running uppercut in the corner and then hits him with a shoulder tackle. Oba picks Oro up and delivers another shoulder tackle. Oro tries to fight back with shoulders of his own, but Oba knocks him down with a vicious shoulder to the head. Oba whips Oro into the ropes and delivers an uppercut that sends Oro tumbling off the turnbuckles.

Oba brings Oro back into the ring and Oro fights back with elbows and a chop. Oro then unleashes a flurry of punches and kicks, followed by a running forearm strike. Oro attempts a flip kick, but Oba blocks it and responds with a rolling elbow strike that drops Oro to the mat. Oba finishes Oro off with a devastating power bomb for the three count.

WINNER: Oba Femi

Tiffany Stratton Vs Roxanne Perez Vs Indi Hartwell for the NXT Women's Championship

In this wrestling match, Tiffany has some words for Roxanne and Indi. However, her words are met with alternating punches from Indi and Roxanne, with near falls from both sides. Roxanne even manages to get a near fall with a rollup, but Tiffany counters with a rollup of her own. The three wrestlers then engage in a knuckle lock, but Tiffany quickly kicks Indi and applies a headlock on Roxanne. Indi retaliates with a hip toss on Tiffany, but Perez blocks one. When Perez goes for an Irish whip, Indi blocks it, and instead Irish whips Perez before clotheslining Tiffany in the corner. Indi then follows up with a knee to Perez and another Irish whip.

Roxanne tries to roll up Indi, but Indi holds onto the ropes. Indi then delivers a Snake Eyes move to Perez, but Perez drops down and goes over the top rope. Tiffany and Perez lock up, with Tiffany executing a takedown before sending Perez face-first into the mat. Tiffany then kicks Perez in the corner, while also knocking Indi off the apron with a forearm and choking Perez in the ropes.

Tiffany maintains her control with a wrist lock on Perez, but Perez counters with a head scissors into a bridge for a near fall. Perez also kicks Indi off the apron before Tiffany delivers a knee and a side head lock. Tiffany refuses to be sent off the ropes by Perez, who then uses a head scissors to try to bring Tiffany down. Tiffany, however, manages to cartwheel her way out of the hold.

Indi returns with a double clothesline, followed by a slam to Perez and then to Tiffany. Perez then goes for a victory roll on Indi, but only gets a near fall. Perez manages to gain the upper hand with a wrist lock and kicks, even executing a springboard arm drag takedown. Tiffany then sends Perez onto Indi, with Perez following up with a Thesz press and punches. Perez sends Tiffany to the floor, and then executes a suicide dive onto Indi, followed by one on Tiffany.

Perez continues her attack with a guillotine and body scissors, but Tiffany manages to break free and puts Perez in a reverse chin lock. Perez uses a jawbreaker to escape, followed by punches, but Tiffany delivers a knee to the midsection. Tiffany then executes an Irish whip and clothesline, getting a near fall.

Tiffany then uses a reverse chin lock, but Perez again escapes, this time with a jawbreaker. Perez then delivers punches, but Tiffany responds with a knee to the midsection before executing an Irish whip. Perez counters with a back elbow and a kick, sending Tiffany into the corner where Perez delivers forearms. Tiffany then sends Perez to the apron, but Perez responds with a forearm and a cross body, which Tiffany rolls through before getting Perez on her shoulders.

Perez then counters with a rollup for a near fall, before putting Tiffany on the turnbuckles and delivering chops. The two continue their exchange, with Tiffany using a kick and going for a suplex, but Perez counters with an inside cradle. Perez then executes a back heel kick, followed by a side Russian leg sweep, getting a near fall.

Indi limps to the ring and breaks up a cover by Perez, getting a near fall on Tiffany, and then Perez as well. Indi then sends both Tiffany and Perez to the apron, delivering kicks in the ropes before executing a spinebuster on Tiffany. Perez breaks up the cover, but Indi rolls to the apron and Tiffany gets Perez up for a slam. However, when Tiffany goes to the turnbuckles for the Best Moonsault Ever, Indi pulls Tiffany out of the ring and delivers a running.

WINNER: Indi Hartwell (retains championship)
