At Rebellion, IMPACT Wrestling made a huge announcement that has sent shockwaves through the wrestling world. The promotion has once again partnered with NJPW for Multiverse 2, which is set to take place on August 20.





One wrestler who played a major role at Multiverse 1 is Deonna Purrazzo. She earned a shot at the IMPACT Knockouts Championship after defeating Masha Slamovich, Gisele Shaw, and Miyu Yamashita in a four-way bout. Purrazzo went on to defeat Jordynne Grace for the vacant Knockouts Title at Rebellion, solidifying her status as one of the top wrestlers in the world.



In an interview with Jeremy Lambert and Joel Pearl on Fightful's In The Weeds, Purrazzo was asked which wrestler she would like to face at Multiverse 2. With her eyes set on even greater heights, Purrazzo responded with a confident smile, "I'm ready to take on anyone NJPW throws my way. I want to prove that I'm the best and I'm not afraid to take on any challenge."




"Obviously, the first person everyone thinks about is Mercedes Mone. That is a dream match of mine, for years now. If that is an opportunity, I would be remised not to be like, 'Yes, that's what I want, that's what I need.' If Mayu wins, I've been in a match with Mayu, she beat me at Ring of Honor to challenge for the then Women of Honor Championship. There is some history there that could be really fun to revisit if Mayu ends up defeating Mercedes," she said.
