WWE SmackDown 6/3 Results: Shinsuke Nakamura Seemingly Suffers An Injury

WWE SmackDown star Shinsuke Nakamura appeared to suffer an injury during the main event of tonight’s SmackDown show. ## As noted, the main event of tonight's SmackDown show featured a WWE Undisputed Tag Team Championship match between The Usos and Riddle & Shinsuke Nakamura. ## During the match, At ringside, Nakamura went for a running knee, but Jey moved, and Nakamura hit the stairs hard. Jey then stomped on Nakamura's knee, and the referee threw up the "X" sign. The trainers and referees ran out to check on Nakamura. They took him to the back, leaving Riddle on his own. ## Riddle ran wild and sent The Usos to the floor as they cut to commercial. WWE Still Not Sure About Roman Reigns’ Next Undisputed WWE Universal Title Defense

Roman Reigns has defended his titles since he pinned Brock Lesnar to win the WWE Championship and it seems like WWE is still considering to make the final decision on when Reigns’ will actually defend the championship. ## It’s been two months since Roman Reigns defeated Brock Lesnar to unify the WWE and Universal Championships, but “The Tribal Chief” has still yet to defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Title. ## In the days it was reported that WWE has locked in Roman Reigns' next three opponents for the upcoming event starting with Money In The Bank. Originally, WWE had tentatively planned that Reigns would defend the title against Matt Riddle on July 2nd at Money in the Bank, Randy Orton on July 30th at SummerSlam, and Drew McIntyre at the Clash at the Castle UK stadium show on September 3rd. ## However, the plan is seeming taking sway, His status for Money In The Bank was said to be ‘up in the air’ after WWE moved the pay-per-view from Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium to the smaller MGM Grand Garden Arena and Reigns was pulled from the advertisements for it. ## Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE has still yet to make a final decision on when Reigns’ will actually defend the championship. The Usos vs. Shinsuke Nakamura and Riddle is actually a work for WWE Hell in a Cell. ## On the May 30th edition of WWE Raw, With both of their partners sidelined courtesy of The Bloodline, Riddle and Shinsuke Nakamura joined forces against The Usos in a Championship Contenders Match with retribution and the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships on their mind. ## Jimmy got caught attacking The Original Bro with his scooter from outside the ring. This ended the action by disqualification. When The Usos attempted a post-match attack, though, their opposition regrouped, culminating in a simply awesome RKO on Jey off the top rope. ## Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that the match will not take place on Sunday's pay-per-view, however. A tournament will be held to crown new champions. ## It was reported back in the days that, people within WWE didn't want to vacate the Women's Title, but it pivots on Vince McMahon as he still made up by striping Banks and Naomi of their titles and suspended them definitely. ## Dave Meltzer recently commented on a potential tournament to decide new Women’s Tag Team Champions. Dave stated that the idea to do so is “dead.” ## The latest from Ringside, the tournament is not dead. It just hasn’t been discussed with Meltzer by anyone who knows the plans. Plans for Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar going into the Money In The Bank are said to be ‘up in the air’. ## As noted, WWE recently made the announcement, stating that WWE Money In The Bank 2022 now has a new venue. The event was originally scheduled to take place on July 2, 2022, at Allegiant Stadium in the Las Vegas suburb of Paradise, Nevada, but WWE sent out an email to the ticket holders that Money in the Bank will now take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. ## In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reports that he got confirmation about Roman Reigns’ summer plans being Matt Riddle for Money In The Bank in Las Vegas, Randy Orton at SummerSlam in Nashville and Drew McIntyre in Cardiff, Wales on 9/3. ## However, the plans may have changed with Roman Reigns no longer featured in the updated ads for Money In The Banks and neither is Brock Lesnar, among others. ## Meltzer said that everything about Reigns and Lesnar for Money in the Bank is up in the air right now. Riddle vs Reigns may still happen but there's no word on what's next for Lesnar, who was originally booked for the show as it was supposed to be a stadium show. Per the report, at least two involved a four-team tournament. ## In one, the four names are Natalya & Shayna Baszler, Tamina & Dana Brooke, Nikki ASH & Doudrop, and Carmella & Zelina (even though they already broke up). ## Adding Vega is kind of a surprising thing, PWInsider recently confirmed that Vega has been out of the ring following an in-ring injury that required surgery. SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey, Brock Lesnar, Charlotte Flair, Bobby Lashley, and WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns were all advertised to appear but that is no longer the case. ## The original poster had Reigns, Lesnar, Ronda Rousey, Bobby Lashley, Charlotte Flair, Drew McIntyre, Becky Lynch, Bianca Belair, Sasha Banks, and Kofi Kingston on the front. ## The revised graphic shows Riddle, Bianca, Cody Rhodes, The Miz, Rhea Ripley, The Street Profits.
