Roman Reigns Helps The Usos Win Winner-Take-All Tag Team Title Unification Match

The Winner Take All Tag Team Title Unification Match between RK-Bro and The Usos took place this Friday on SmackDown. ## Originally slated for WrestleMania Backlash, the budding rivalry between Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre converted the clash into a Six-Man Tag Team showdown. The Bloodline got the best of the newly-formed trio, but Riddle, Randy Orgon & McIntyre showed they could push the blue brand champions to the absolute limit. ## As expected, both teams delivered a spectacular main event on SmackDown. Finally, Jey won the match for his team with the big splash, thanks to interference from Roman Reigns when the referee was distracted. ## After the match, The Bloodline attacked RK-Bro at ringside. The Usos beat down Orton with the steps as Reigns locked on the guillotine on Riddle. Spoiler For Upcoming Roman Reigns’ WWE Opponents

Per reports, Riddle, Randy Orton, and Drew McIntyre are being considered as the next strong opponents for Roman Reigns heading into Money in the Bank (July 2), SummerSlam (July 30), and Clash at the Castle (September 3). ## According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, while none of these plans are locked in, there is talk of Reigns wrestling the aforementioned opponents at the three WWE Premium Live Events. ## The first summer TV Reigns was announced for was 7/25 in Madison Square Garden, which is the go-home Raw for SummerSlam. Reigns will be appearing on TV’s to build those three matches and has also been announced for the 7/22 Smackdown in Boston and 8/19 Smackdown in Montreal.” ## Reigns reportedly signed a new WWE deal that would allow for him to work fewer dates on his schedule, but WWE could always add Reigns to more TV dates in the lead-up to the three big stadium shows. For the time being, The Undisputed WWE Universal Champion is slated for several bouts and appearances throughout the summer. ## At Payback, Reigns defeated defending champion The Fiend and Strowman to win the Universal Championship for the second time. Since then, no one is able to dethrone The Tribal Chief. Tonight, Gacy stuns Breakker in another title match at In Your House, saying he can take all his frustration out on her. ## That said, if he disqualifies, Breakker will lose the NXT Championship. Report: The Winner Of WWE Money In The Bank Not Set For A Guaranteed WrestleMania Match

WWE Money In The Banks 2022 is scheduled to take place on July 2, 2022, at Allegiant Stadium in the Las Vegas suburb of Paradise, Nevada. ## It will be the first time the event will be held in a National Football League (NFL) stadium, thus becoming one of WWE's five biggest events of the year, alongside the Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, SummerSlam, and Survivor Series. ## Money in the Bank will be held on the same night as UFC 276, which is taking place at the nearby T-Mobile Arena during its 10th International Fight Week, just as was the case with Manny Pacquiao vs. Yordenis Ugás that took place on the same night as the previous year's SummerSlam. ## As note, Cody Rhodes had said in this year's Money in the Bank promo that the winner of this year's Money in the Bank match will get a chance at the main event of WrestleMania. Many of his fans assumed that WWE changed the conditions for their annual multi-person ladder matches. ## Per the report from Ringside, the winner of the Money in the Bank ladder matches are not set for a WrestleMania match. A tenured member of the creative team told that “no one knows why that is being said. ## This subject has been brought up in production and creative meetings as well. It’s unknown why they haven’t addressed this on WWE television yet, but they have a month to do so. ## The only guaranteed title match is the winner of the Royal Rumble. There was an unusual set of circumstances for WWE Main Event this week, that ended up not happening at all. ## On Monday, WWE filmed the standard two WWE Main Event matches, with Akira Tozawa vs. Apollo Crews and T-Bar vs. Reggie taking place. ## According to confirmation from Fightful Select, R-Truth vs. Otis was also planned for Main Event, which would have brought the Main Event tapings to an unusual number of three. However, that didn't end up happening and the match itself was nixed. ## According to the report, it was for no other reason than the company opting to remain with the standard number of matches. ## There was a bit of conflicting information internally as Ariya Daivari and Shane Helms were listed as individual producers on different run sheets.
