Mumbai, November 27 - Varun Dhawan starrer "Bhediya" opened to an average response on day one though the film had a good growth of nearly 30% on the second day and the expectations were that the film will have a big day on Sunday which just not happened. The creature comedy is witnessing a jump of around 15% on Sunday.## The early estimate collections suggest around 11 crores net. The first Sunday collections will take the entire collections of Bhediya to a little over the 28cr net box office mark and the film will struggle to collect well after the first weekend due to mixed reactions. ## There is no doubt the film has been affected by the Drishyam2 wave as that film remains the number one choice for moviegoers even outside Mumbai, Gujarat, and Maharashtra belts where Bhediya appeals more than Drishyam2. The film should hold well on Monday and then on subsequent days otherwise it will be another nonperformer for the Hindi film industry.## The box office is now in a healthy position compared to the last 6-8 months but the content has to be appealing to the audience otherwise many films will keep biting the dust. Mumbai, November 27 - Drishyam 2 is in no mood to slow down at the box office as the film continues its upward trend. It has seen good growth today as the early estimate collections suggest a 16.50-17 crores net collection which will be more than the opening day collections of many huge films released in the last 6 to 8 months. ## The huge second Sunday collections will take the entire box office collections to approx 143.50cr net mark. There was a chance of hitting 150cr till the second weekend but a big competitor like Bhediya arrived which took away some of the well-collecting screens of Drishaym 2 although in the longer run Drishyam 2 is likely to get all those lost audiences.## The hold on the second Monday will be going to be very important for the film as far as the lifetime collections are concerned. The film is sure to beat the collections of Bhool Bhulaiya2 which was around 182cr approx. Whether the film will join the prestigious 200cr mark or not will depend on the second Monday. Mumbai, November 26 - Bhediya which had decent first-day collections saw growth of around 30% on the second day which is a good sign. The growth, however, looks less due to the first day being decent only and if this growth was to come after a double-digit opening then this growth would have been good. ## The first Saturday collections of "Bhediya" flirting with 10 crores net mark, as per the early estimates and this is the best-case scenario. The film somehow gets impacted by Drishyam 2 which is just simply running riot at the box office. The first Saturday collections will take the entire box office collections of Bhediya to just a little less than the 17.50cr net mark. It should hit the 15cr mark in the worst case tomorrow to out a healthy first-weekend collection. ## The mass centers are doing good but the main problem is urban centers where Drishyam 2 seems the only choice for moviegoers. The reports of the film are mixed and that also is one of the reasons for the average business in the first two days. Mumbai, November 26 - Drishyam 2 is simply running riot at the box office on the second Saturday of its box office run. It had a huge first-week total helped by excellent holds over the weekdays. There were expectations that the film will slow down in the second week due to Bhediya but that proved wrong and how. Drishyam2 is putting similar collections on the second Saturday compared to the first Friday suggesting that the film remained unaffected.## "Drishyam 2" is flirting with 15 crores net on its second Saturday as per the early estimates. If the trend on weekdays was excellent then the jump on this weekend is just out of the world. The film is set for another huge jump tomorrow due to a national holiday and there is a chance of hitting the 20cr mark again which will confirm the blockbuster status of the film.## The second Saturday box office collections of Drishyam2 will take the total collection of the film to a little over 127.50cr net box office mark. It will be extraordinary if the film touches the 150cr mark tomorrow which is well within range. The centers of Mumbai, Gujarat, and parts of central India are putting fantastic collections. These centers will keep on collecting for some weeks now. ## The overseas business of the film is also excellent which is rare for an Ajay Devgn film. Today's growth has also confirmed that the film will breach the 200cr mark and now the Brahmastra numbers can also be checked the way the film is performing. Mumbai, November 25 - The big release of this week "Bhediya" starring Varun Dhawan has been released in theaters today. The film has seen a big release on approx more than 2500 screens though some Varun Dhawan starters had gone higher in screens compared to Bhediya. The morning start of the film was low and that proved to be a killer for the film. After the dull morning start, the film did see some walk-ins in subsequent screenings but it couldn't pick as the early estimates suggest around 7.50 crores net (final numbers may vary). The opening-day collections are decent but it would have been nice had it clicked a double-digit start. ## "Bhediya" had good hype and the response to the trailer was good too but it seems the film gets affected by the "Drishyam 2" wave and becomes the second choice for moviegoers. The critics' reviews are positive while the audience's word of mouth to mixed to positive.## Bhediya has to show big growth tomorrow and on Sunday to register healthy first-weekend numbers and a 30 crores weekend should be the bare minimum target for the film. The opening of the film is better than most big films considering the clash factor with an established film. Mumbai, November 25 - Drishyam 2 continues its blockbuster run at the box office. Once again the drop in the film will be less than 10% which is a huge achievement for any film in the second week. The second Friday collections of Drishyam2 will come out to be higher than many big films opening day collections.## The early estimate suggests around 8 crores net on the second Friday, which takes the entire collections of the film to over 112.50 crores net mark. The film is set for a big second-weekend number and it won't be surprising if Drishyam 2 collects better than Bhediya which is visible on day one as Drishyam2 will come out to be on a higher side compared to Bhediya despite being on the eighth day compared to the first day of Bhediya.## The film will see further growth tomorrow and eventually will fire on the second Sunday as this will be the first choice for moviegoers. A 30 crores second weekend will confirm that Drishyam2 is a blockbuster film. The lifetime numbers are hard to predict from here on the way the film is performing but the 200cr collections are pretty much possible.## The film will continue with huge footfalls till the last week of December in Mumbai and Gujarat and it won't be surprising if it is putting better collections in these circuits than new titles. The worldwide business of the film has also crossed the 150cr mark with approx 124cr gross from domestic and the rest from overseas. Mumbai and Gujarat circuits continue to drive the film while northern markets which did not start on big levels are also doing fine business now which is rare for a multiplex film like Drishyam 2. This could be due to the main reasons recall factor of the film and the popularity of Ajay Devgn in the northern belts.## "Drishyam 2" scores an estimated 8.70 crores net on its first Tuesday. The first Thursday collections will take the entire box office collections of the film to over 104 crores net mark depending on the actual first Thursday collections. The film has cruised past the 100cr mark in the first week which is a huge achievement for a medium-budget flick like Drishyam2 and that too after post-pandemic when many big films did not even cross 100cr in a lifetime run.## The film is already a huge winner but it is set to go to another level in the second week. Normally a well-accepted film does not drop more than 50% in the second week and if Drishyam2 sees a similar sort of drop in the second week then there is a chance of a blockbuster film. Mumbai, November 23 - Drishyam 2 continues its victory march at the box office with strong collections across all the circuits. Just like yesterday when the film had a negligible drop of around 10% today also the film witnessed a similar sort of drop which is extraordinary as in real terms the business has dropped due to lower average ticket prices. If we compare the number of admits then there is not much difference between the first-day admits and today's admits.## On its first Wednesday, "Drishyam 2" scored an estimated 9.25-9.75 crores net. A double-digit Wednesday cannot rule out too as the way the film has performed over the last few days these type of multiplex films generally does the highest business in night shows and if night shows outperform then 10 cr Wednesday won't be that hard. ## The first Wednesday collections will take the entire box office collections of Drishyam 2 to approx 96.25cr net box office mark depending on the actual Wednesday collections. The first week business of 100cr which looked difficult a few days back will be surpassed easily due to insane holds over the weekdays. The business on weekdays has proved to be better than the first weekend collections as the weekdays business enabled the film to score the 100cr mark in the first week.## Drishyam2 has a shot at a 200cr grosser from here on although next week will see a big release in the form of Bhediya, which won't harm the business of Drishyam2 due to being an established film with universal appreciation. The first Monday collections will take the entire box office collections of Drishyam 2 to approx. 76cr net box office mark depending on the actual first Monday collections. Mumbai, November 20 - Drishyam 2, which had a bumper collection on the first two days, scores further big growth on the third day of its box office run. Yesterday, the film witnessed approx 40% growth compared to the first day while today it is in the range of 25% which is again an excellent number.## The first Sunday's early estimates collection suggests approx. 27 crores net. The first Sunday collections will take the entire collection of Drishyam 2 to over 63 crores net depending on the final official figures which will be known in the morning. The first three days' collections are huge for the Ajay Devgan starrer as the expectations were below 50 crores net mark but the film has surpassed that figure by a big margin. ## Drishyam 2 will be the third highest weekend of Ajay Devgn after "Golmaal Again" and "Singham Returns" both of which were national holiday-released films in pre-pandemic times. The first weekend collections have ensured that "Drishyam 2" is a hit but there is a difference between a hit and a major hit film and that Drishyam 2 has to prove from here on. The multiplexes continue to drive the film while single screens also contributed today better than all previous days.## The hold on Monday is going to be very important for the film and if the film manages to stay in double digits or close to it then the film will be a big grosser. Ideally, the film should target 85-90cr first week of business from here on which is not very tough looking at the audience appreciation. The film is also doing very fine business overseas as these type of thrillers does find some audience overseas.## Overall it's been a fantastic last two weeks at the box office with Uunchai and Drishyam2 and the hope is that Bhediya should continue the momentum from the next week onwards. Mumbai, November 19 - Drishyam 2, which provided a huge boost to the Hindi film industry on its opening day by clocking more than 15 crore net collections, has seen extraordinary growth on the second day. The growth was always expected due to the positive reports but such huge growth was not expected, which is in the range of 40-45% and it's not that the opening was low. ## If we compare the growth in the three main chains PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis, then the film has shown a growth of 57% compared to the first day. Saturdays are the best days in the multiplexes despite that the jump is huge. The good thing is that the film is doing good business even on the single screens thanks to the face value of Ajay Devgan and the recall value of the first Drishyam film as the first part was a huge hit on satellite. ## The early estimate collections on the first Saturday/second day suggest approx. 21.25 crores net. The second day business of the film will take its entire business to over 36.50 cr. net mark. The film is set to see another big jump on Sunday due to a national holiday. It will look to target 25cr Sunday which is not much of an ask as reports are fantastic. The weekend should be in the range of 55-60cr and if the film archives it then it will be a rare film that will attain a hit tag within the first weekend only.## "Drishyam 2" continues to see huge footfalls in Mumbai and Gujarat while mass-dominated circuits like Rajasthan, Bihar, and Central India are doing decent business and they will get going from tomorrow onwards. Surprisingly, the film has also managed to put up a good number in overseas territories which is not the case with most Ajay Devgan starrers.
