11 Glorious Years Of Ranveer Singh

Mumbai, Dec 10, 2021: The 2010s decade saw many newcomers debuting in the tinsel town and one of them was very talented Ranveer Singh. His debut outing Band Baaja Baarat had released exactly 11 years ago on 10th December 2010. The film which opened to a lukewarm response eventually became a successful film for the makers. ## Band Baaja Baarat was made under the banner of Yash Raj Films which is among the biggest production houses of the industry and that was the biggest plus for the film. The appreciation for Ranveer Singh was little but there was an appreciation. He followed Band Baaja Baarat with another successful film Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl under the same banner. ## The first proper clean hit was not far away when Ramleela became his 1st clean hit film in 2013 and this time, the appreciation was far bigger than previous films. Ramleela also marked his collaboration with Sanjay Leela Bhansali with whom he delivered his first and Biggest Blockbuster of his career till date - Padmaavat. Not only did Padmaavat become Ranveer Singh's first-true-blockbuster but it also put Ranveer among the best actors in the industry. ## Later in the same year, Ranveer gave another Blockbuster in the form of Simmba and became one of the few stars who have given two blockbusters in the same year. Gully boy kept Ranveer Singh's winning streak alive and now his upcoming film 83 directed by Kabir Khan is all set to hit the screens on Xmas weekend. One of the greatest legends of the industry and people's Superstar Dharmendra celebrated his 86th Birthday yesterday. ## Dharmendra started his tinsel town journey in 1960 with a film called 'Dil Bhi Tera hum Bhi Tere' and it was a few films struggle till he shot to fame in the middle 60s. Though there were many successful films earlier as well like 'Shola Aur Shabnam' and 'Anpadh', but with a Blockbuster film with the then reigning superstar Rajendra Kumar - Aayi Milan ki Bela changed the fortunes of Dharmendra and catapulted him into a big league of known & dependable stars. But with a Mega Blockbuster Phool Aur Patthar preceding to a superhit Kaajal, pushed Dharmendra ahead than any other star, and industry & trade were banking on him to be the number1 star until there is tsunami called 'Rajesh Khanna' arrived. ## Rajesh Khanna had seen the type of craze & euphoria which was never seen before or after and this craze also converted in numbers when Khanna gave over 15 consecutive successful films with many films doing historic business such as Aradhana, Do Raaste, and Haathi Mera Saathi. Khanna literally wiped out all-stars of the industry and was a reason for the retirement of many stars like Rajendra Kumar, Dilip Kumar, and Dev Anand but Dharmendra was the only star who survived the Khanna storm and it was him who shocked the entire industry when he pushed the legendary superstar Rajesh Khanna to Number2 in 1973 with 7 HIT films including 2 Blockbusters. Rajesh Khanna hit his rock-bottom and was never able to make a comeback and that's how the industry got their new number1 star - Dharmendra. ## The journey would have really tough from here as becoming no.1 star is easy but remaining no.1 star is very very tough. The early 70s saw many talented newcomers joining the industry and one of them was Future Megastar, Amitabh Bachchan. Zanjeer was released at the same time when Dharmendra was the Topmost star of the nation and was his rejected film which made Amitabh Bachchan a star. ## But Amitabh's journey to dethrone Dharmendra began in 1975 when universal Blockbuster and hugely acclaimed Bachchan film Deewar were released. It was a type of film which makes stars into Superstars. 6 months later, both Dharmendra and Amitabh starred together in the film which re-wrote the Box office history like no other film - Sholay and Dharmendra who was enjoying their superstar days were credited the most in Sholay initially. ## Amitabh was proving a huge competition for Dharmendra with each passing year but Dharmendra was constantly giving hits, superhits, and Blockbusters. It was 1978 when Amitabh actually went ahead of Dharmendra as he delivered 3 Blockbusters in MKS, Trishul, and Don and pretty much ended the reign of Dharmendra as a superstar. ## Dharmendra's run from 1966 to 1980 remains the most successful phase of any star in history as this phase had witnessed around 50 Hits and 75 successful films combined with mega Blockbusters like Phool Aur Patthar, Aankhen, Mera Gaon Mera Desh, Sholay, Pratigya, and Dharam Veer. ## Dharmendra also has the record of most hits in a year, a decade, or in a generation or all time. ANTIM IS ON COURSE TO BE A SUCCESSFUL FILM

Mumbai, Dec 9, 2021: Antim - The Final Truth starring Ayush Sharma and supported by an extended special appearance by Salman khan released in theatres on 26th November 2021. The film was said to be an adaptation of the Marathi film Mulshi pattern and was directed by Mahesh Manjrekar. ## On 26th November, the film took a decent start with the first-day figures being at 5.03 Cr. The opening was not like it has to be but considering the main target market operating at 50% occupancy for a film that was totally regional in feel and non-cast in talent then the opening is decent. The film grew over the weekend and collected a healthy total of over 18 Cr. ## The weekdays hold was very crucial for Antim and it passed this period with a good amount of collections. There was a little drop on Wednesday and further on Friday due to the new release 'Tadap' but the drop was not at all alarming. As a result, the first week's business came over 29 Cr Nett. ## The film is still running and collecting well in cinemas with collections of over 35cr net at the moment. The lifetime collections are set to be in the 40-42cr range depending upon the hold in the 3rd week, which will make the film a decent successful film. According to a report published in a popular magazine 'Film Information' handled by Komal that, Antim has become a successful film if you don't look at the film as an out and out Salman khan starrer. The film was a part of 3 film deal with Zee and antim was valued at approx 30-35cr which had to be covered through satellite and digital. Mumbai, 9 Dec 2021: The trailer of the hugely anticipated film 'RRR' directed by SS Rajamouli has been released and it received a thunderous response from the public. The trailer has been filled with many goosebumps moments that might pull people into theatres in larger numbers. ## The trailer had a grand launch in Mumbai with its ensemble star cast JR. NTR, Ajay, Devgn, and Alia Bhatt including the captain of the ship - SS Rajamouli. ## Interacting with media when a journalist asked Jr. NTR about being as big an action hero as Ajay Devgn is, NTR graciously replied that journalist and said - "Do not compare me with Ajay sir, he is a big action star, he was bigger than me and is even now. His entry in Phool Aur Kaante was like crazy. I was like, can I do it? I am grateful that I am sharing the stage with him." ## RRR also stars Ram Charan in a pivotal role.
