Mumbai, Jan 26, 2022: 26 January is a national holiday and there are many instances when a film was released on this national holiday to a fruitful result. In this article, we will talk about those films and their box office performances. ## The much-hyped Hrithik Roshan and Sanjay Dutt starrer Agneepath was released on 26 January 2012 to a record-breaking initial. The film took the Biggest opening when it was released by beating Salman Khan's Bodyguard. The Karan Malhotra directorial emerged as a Superhit film in the long run. Agneepath also starred Rishi Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra in pivotal roles. ## One of the landmark films of the Indian cinema Bandit Queen was released exactly on this date in 1996 to a massive Box office earnings. Bandit Queen was based on the true story of the legendary female warrior Phoolan Devi played by Seema Biswas. The film was declared tax-free in Maharashtra from day one. The film was banned in several states despite that it emerged as one of the highly successful movies of 1996. Coincidently, the film clashed with Shah Rukh Khan's English Babu Desi Mam which was a massive Flop film and Bandit Queen won the clash handsomely. ## In 2006 it was the turn of Aamir Khan's patriotic hit Rang De Basanti. Prabhas Charges 100 Cr Remuneration For Raja Deluxe.

Hyderabad, January 26 - The stardom of young rebel star Prabhas has grown exponentially in the past few years after the historic all-time blockbuster Bahubali series. ## His lineup of mega pan-India projects is a testament to that. With the growing market, Prabhas’ remuneration has also grown substantially. And quite deservingly, the producers are also lining up and ready to pay any quoted amount.## Amidst his lineup of pan-India biggies, he will be also seen in Raja Deluxe directed by Maruthi. The Young Rebel Star has allotted 50 days of call sheet for this project. While the scale of the movie might be small, his remuneration for Raja Deluxe is in no way small.## Reportedly, he is charging Rs 100 crore for the project. This means for the 50 days call sheet he is charging Rs 2 crores per day. An advance has also been paid for the same. DVV Danayya is bankrolling this project.## Director Maruthi recently took to Twitter and said that “time will reveal everything”. An official update on the project will be out soon. Mumbai, January 23 - Ajay Devgn's sports drama film Maidaan is all set the be released in the Bengali language as well. According to a report published in Mid-Day, the makers of the film are planning to release the movie in Bengali as well given the fact that Kolkata is the hub of Indian football.## A source told Mid-Day, "Football is gaining prominence in India today as a sport. Besides Goa, Kerala, and Hyderabad, even West Bengal is passionate about football, especially among the youth. To reach an [wider] audience, the makers want to reach out to the youth".## "Ajay has completed his shoot including football matches, and the climax that traces the India-South Korea final match of the 1962 Asian Games in Jakarta. As and when the COVID-19 situation improves, Amit [and his crew] will fly to Rome, Helsinki, and Melbourne to shoot footage [depicting] international matches for the patchwork", the source had added.## Maidaan is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language biographical sports film based on the golden era of Indian football (1952–1962) and starring Ajay Devgn as football coach Syed Abdul Rahim. Maidaan is directed by Amit Sharma and produced by Zee Studios in collaboration with Bayview Projects LLP.
