Varun Dhawan To Reunite With His Father David Dhawan For A Comedy Entertainer

Mumbai, September 18 - Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan and his filmmaker father David Dhawan are one of the most successful actor-director combos. The duo has collaborated on three occasions previously and all three films were successful at the box office, excluding "Coolie No. 1" which was a direct-to-digital release.## Now, according to Pinkvilla, Varun is set to reunite with his father for a big-budget comedy entertainer. It is said that David Dhawan has been working with his team of writers for the last couple of years and he has finally found something exciting to return to the director's chair.## The yet-untitled movie will be an original script, unlike the previous three films of the duo. The movie is touted to be a perfect mixture of humour, romance, and music. The shoot of the film will commence in 2024 and it will have a festive release, mostly in 2025.## Varun Dhawan, meanwhile, will next be seen in the action drama film, tentatively titled "VD18". Mumbai, September 17 - Superstar Shah Rukh Khan's mega-blockbuster Jawan continues to go great guns at the box office and scored an excellent second weekend globally. The action thriller movie remained the number 1 title at the domestic box office by a huge margin while the overseas collection is also fantastic.## The Atlee Kumar's directorial movie scored over 100 crores gross domestically in the second weekend, including an estimated 43 crores gross (36 crores net) on the second Sunday. Box Office: Jawan Second Thursday Early Estimates

Mumbai, September 14 - Shah Rukh Khan's mega-blockbuster Jawan has a fantastic extended first week at the domestic box office. The movie has already beaten SRK's own blockbuster Pathaan to score the biggest first week ever for a Bollywood as well as a Hindi movie.## The action thriller, on its second Thursday, scored an estimated 18 crores net collection in Hindi which takes its total cume to around 345 crores in 8 days. Additionally, it minted an estimated 1.50 crores in Tamil and Telugu versions for all India 19.50 crores second Thursday.## Jawan witnessed a drop of around 15% today which is a good hold as overall collections are huge. The total all-India net collection is over 387 crores in the extended 8-day week and tomorrow, on its second Friday, Jawan will hit the 400 crores mark in all versions.## There is no competition for Jawan in the second weekend which should help it to score 75+ crores net. Mumbai, September 13 - Actor Ayushmann Khurrana's social comedy-drama film Dream Girl 2 emerged a slipper success at the box office and entered the 100 crores net club in Hindi. ## Directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, the film managed to withstand Shah Rukh Khan's mega-blockbuster "Jawan" and holdover film "Gadar 2" to make a surprise entry to the coveted 100 crores club.
