Varun Dhawan To Reunite With His Father David Dhawan For A Comedy Entertainer

Mumbai, September 18 - Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan and his filmmaker father David Dhawan are one of the most successful actor-director combos. The duo has collaborated on three occasions previously and all three films were successful at the box office, excluding "Coolie No. 1" which was a direct-to-digital release.

Now, according to Pinkvilla, Varun is set to reunite with his father for a big-budget comedy entertainer. It is said that David Dhawan has been working with his team of writers for the last couple of years and he has finally found something exciting to return to the director's chair.



The yet-untitled movie will be an original script, unlike the previous three films of the duo. The movie is touted to be a perfect mixture of humour, romance, and music. The shoot of the film will commence in 2024 and it will have a festive release, mostly in 2025.

Varun Dhawan, meanwhile, will next be seen in the action drama film, tentatively titled "VD18". It is being directed by the Tamil director Kalees and produced by Atlee Kumar and Murad Khetani. It is announced to be released on May 31, 2024, in cinemas worldwide.
