Farhan Akhtar Reportedly Begins Work On Shah Rukh Khan-led 'Don 3' Script
Mumbai, June 20 - Filmmaker Farhan Akhtar has reportedly begun work on what could be the most anticipated Indian film, Don 3, led by Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. Recently, the producer and co-founder of Excel Entertainment Ritesh Sidhwani shared a picture of Farhan on social media, saying he was writing a script. ## As soon as Sidhwani shared the picture, it went viral as fans thought he has begun working on Don 3 script. While it was just a rumor at that time, the latest reports say that he has indeed started to work on the next chapter of Don. According to Pinkvilla, the script is still in the early stage and will take some time before it gets ready. ## "Don is a subject close to everyone at Excel. The team has been trying to crack and develop an idea for Don 3 for a while now. The team has finally scummed upon an idea that's exciting and will take the franchise to the next level. Farhan has started writing the script and will give narration to his Don aka SRK, once the screenplay is locked", reads the report. ## Javed Akhtar, who co-wrote the original "Don" (1978) starring Amitabh Bachchan, has reportedly discussed the idea of "Don 3" with Farhan. The rumors about "Don 3" has been making noise for the last decade, and this time, the people at Excel are determined to make the movie happen and are reportedly giving their 100%. ## Farhan Akhtar was supposed to direct "Jee Le Zara" starring Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif, and Alia Bhatt. However, the movie has now reportedly been pushed to the second half of 2023 due to the date issues of the actresses. With "Jee Le Zara" being pushed, it gives enough time to Farhan to think about "Don 3" and actually start working on it. ## Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan will be in the action on the big screen from next year after taking a long break. The superstar will headline three mega films, "Pathaan" (25 Jan) with Siddharth Anand, "Jawan" (2 June) with Atlee, and "Dunki (23 Dec.) with Rajkumar Hirani.
