Box Office: 'Khaleja' Re-Release Scores Double-Digit Opening Weekend Worldwide

Mumbai, June 2 - Superstar Mahesh Babu's fantasy action comedy Khaleja has exceeded expectations in its opening weekend and has become the highest as well as the first double-digit Telugu re-release grosser at the worldwide box office. ## Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, Khaleja was re-released on May 30 amid the huge hype, and it scored the third biggest opening for a South Indian re-release film with approximately 6.75 crores gross. The movie scored good hold on the second day to earn around 2 crore gross, followed by around 1.50 crore gross on Sunday. ## Khaleja grossed approximately 10.25 crores in its opening weekend worldwide, including around 9 crores gross in India and 1.25 crores overseas. With this, it has become the first double-digit Telugu and third South India re-release grosser. ## The movie was re-released without any special occasion, and yet, it scored an excellent collection worldwide. Los Angeles, May 31 - Superstar Mahesh Babu's fantasy action comedy Khaleja was re-released worldwide on May 30 and opened to an excellent collection all over. The movie created a huge buzz and scored one of the biggest pre-sales for an Indian re-release title. ## Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, Khaleja has created a record at the North American box office, becoming the highest-grossing Indian re-release movie in just one day. Prathyangira Cinemas, which released the movie in North America, announced this major milestone on social media. ## The film grossed approximately $58K from premieres, and $36K on the opening day, taking the total collection to $94K.
