AA22xA6: Deepika Padukone Joins Allu Arjun For Director Atlee's Film

Mumbai, May 22 - Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone is set to collaborate with superstar Allu Arjun for the first time for director Atlee's sci-fi action spectacle, tentatively titled AA22xA6. The actress has reportedly been roped in to play the leading lady in this highly anticipated film.

According to the report by Peepingmoon.com, director Atlee was in talks with Deepika for the past few months before the actress officially came on board recently. This marks their second collaboration after the mega Bollywood blockbuster, Jawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan.



While the details are not revealed, it is said that Deepika has been paid a huge remuneration for AA22xA6, which will be made on a budget of over 600 crores. The film also has Mrunal Thakur and Janhvi Kapoor as the other 2 female leads. The casting for the other actors is currently underway.

Envisioned as a visually groundbreaking action spectacle set in a parallel universe, AA22xA6 features the Pushpa 2 star Allu Arjun in his first double role. The pre-production of the film, produced by Sun Pictures, is going on in full swing as the makers aim to start shooting by July this year.

Meanwhile, Deepika was also supposed to play the female lead in superstar Prabhas-fronted Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. However, the latest report confirms that she has been dropped from the film due to her unusual demands, and now, she is no longer a part of the movie.
