Govinda And Raveena Tandon's 'Dulhe Raja' To Be Remade With Modern Sensibilities?

Mumbai, September 5 - Govinda and Raveena Tandon's Dulhe Raja (1998) holds a special place in the comedy genre in Bollywood cinema history. Produced and directed by Harmesh Malhotra, "Dulhe Raja" was one of the highest-grossing films of the year and it followed with a tremendous response on television over the years. ## "Dulhe Raja" will complete 25 years in 2023 and if all goes well, the movie could get its modern-day version. According to Pinkvilla, Shah Rukh Khan's production house, Red Chillies Entertainment has acquired the negative and remake rights of the movie and is working on the idea of how to adapt it to modern sensibilities. ## "Very few know that Shah Rukh Khan is indeed a big fan of the comedy genre and Dulhe Raja is one of those popcorn entertainers that he likes. When one of the associates suggested the idea of acquiring the blanket rights of Dulhe Raja, SRK was game on for the idea", reports Pinkvilla. ## The report also states that the remake rights were acquired a long time back and Farhad Samji, who is currently working with Salman Khan on "Kabhi Bhai Kabhi Jaan", has been attached to make a fresh screenplay of the movie by retaining the world of the original and its work in progress at the moment. ## The original movie, apart from Govinda and Raveena Tandon, also starred Kader Khan, Prem Chopra, Johnny Lever, Asrani, Viju Khote, and Mohnish Behl among others in key roles. ## Stay tuned...

Solid Advance Bookings Trend of Brahmastra Giving A New Ray of Hope To The Industry

Mumbai, September 4 - Much-awaited Magnum Opus from Bollywood Brahmastra Part One: Shiva is inching close to its release date. The advance booking window for this movie was opened a couple of days ago and is maintaining a smooth pace as of now. This gives a new ray of hope to the Bollywood industry which has been facing a scarcity of hits.## As we all are aware many big Bollywood movies became debacles at the box office post-pandemic. The major reason for such a fate is that these movies fail to generate pre-release excitement among the people. Now Brahmastra is doing well in Big Multiplex chains and the booking in small multiplexes is still yet to be open.## This growth rate ensures that this will take a very good opening. It is speculated by the Trade analyst that it may very well touch the 30 cr + opening mark if the booking rate remains the same.## All eyes of the industry are now set on this Ayan Mukerji directorial. If it managed to secure a bumper opening despite all the negativity surrounding the movie, then this will be an affirmation that boycott campaigns have less say in the actual verdict of the movie. ## Recent trends have shown clearly that people prefer to watch those movies on big screens which offer magnificent visuals and deliver something unique in terms of quality. The film is scheduled to hit screens worldwide on September 9. ## Stay tuned...

The Success of 'Brahmastra' Will Pave The Way For 'Ram Setu' And 'Adipurush'? Bollywood

The Success of 'Brahmastra' Will Pave The Way For 'Ram Setu' And 'Adipurush'?

Mumbai, September 3 - The Bollywood film industry is having some nervy moments ahead of the big release of director Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra Part One: Shiva. Arguably the biggest Hindi film ever, the fantasy adventure film tells the story of Ancient Indian Astras, led by Brahmastra, which is considered the most powerful Astra among all of them. ## "Brahmastra" carries a lot of expectations regarding its box office potential. The Bollywood industry hasn't had a great time at the box office during the post-pandemic era but "Brahmastra" is the film that actually can change the fortune and pave the way for a couple of upcoming films as well. ## The makers have been promoting the film heavily and leaving no stone unturned to make the film reach every person in the country. The excitement among the audiences is high and it can be understood by the fact that the advance booking of the film is off to a flier and is looking to score one of the biggest pre-sales records for a Bollywood movie. ## The success of "Brahmastra" is very important for the industry considering there are at least two more films of a similar genre - Ram Setu (Diwali 2022) and Adipurush (Jan. 12, 2023), lined up for release in the next 5 months. It is not that these films need any kind of validation to succeed at the box office, but the success of "Brahmastra" will mean that the audience is ready to accept these kinds of films that haven't been made in Indian cinema before. ## "Ram Setu" is arguably Akshay Kumar's biggest film to date and as of now, it seems to be one of the films to watch out for this year. It is a historical action-adventure film, which is based on one of the most important chapters of the epic Ramayana (7th century BCE to 3rd century CE). The plot involves an archaeologist, who has set out to check out whether "Ram Setu" is a myth or a reality. ## The Prabhas-fronted "Adipurush", on the other hand, is a movie that is already seen as a potential global blockbuster, and "Brahmastra" success could further validate this fact. The adaptation of Ramayana, "Adipurush" is the most expansive Indian film to date with an estimated budget of 500 crores. Shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu languages, the film stars Prabhas as Raghava, Kriti Sanon as Janaki, and Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh. ## This is the first time that multiple films based on Ramayana and other Hindu mythology are coming out on a regular space. "Ramayana" has been a massive hit on television in the 1980s and now, it is coming to the big screen. However, the only thing that might make the industry nervous regarding "Ram Setu" and "Adipurush" is that they are yet to know how the audience is going to accept these films. That's where "Brahmastra" is going to play a massive role in that process. ## "Brahmastra" is produced by Dharma Productions, Starlight Pictures, and Prime Focus in association with Star Studios. It stars Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna Akkineni in prominent roles. It is scheduled to release on September 9 in Hindi along with dubbed versions of Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages. ## Stay tuned...

Netizens Fed Up With Karan Johar's Over-Obsession With Alia Bhatt

Mumbai, September 2 - Filmmaker Karan Johar gave Alia Bhatt her first break in 2013's coming-of-age romantic comedy-drama Student of the Year, and since then, Alia has come a long way by proving her worth as an actress in Bollywood industry. ## Alia is no doubt one of the finest Bollywood actresses currently and can nail any role with perfection. However, people here on social media are not happy with Karan Johar and his over-obsession with the actress and seem to be fed up with the same. It is a fact that Karan Johar is a fatherly figure for Alia, but people think that his obsession with the actress is disrespectful to others. ## During the ongoing season of the talk show "Koffee With Karan", there had hardly been a single episode where Karan Johar has repeatedly not called Alia the number 1 actress in the country. Alia too has appeared in one of the episodes of the ongoing season. ## Karan Johar has always been on the radar of social media users for promoting nepotism in Bollywood and he is once again being trolled for his too much love for Alia. Why Brahmastra Will Be A Success Venture For Producers Even If Collects Only 200-300 Cr India Net?

Mumbai, 2 Sep 2022: The biggest movie in Bollywood in terms of budget is Brahmastra. The movie will release on 9th Sep 2022 in multiple languages across the globe. ## According to Bollywood Hungama, This film's budget is 410 Cr which is huge. How are makers going to convert this into a successful venture even if it collects only 200-300 India Net with positive reviews? ## The film is intended to serve as the 1st film in a planned trilogy as part of its own cinematic universe called Astraverse and for the first part, the producers only want to build it as a franchise and do not care about whether the budget is covered or not because if Part One is liked by the audience then everyone knows second and third part will earn more than 1000 Cr each. ## It will become a loss venture for the makers only if it becomes an outright rejected disaster. The director of this movie, Ayan Mukerji has given 10 years to this movie so we also don't think that he will go wrong and expect a good story which will unfold in a few days. ## About This Film ## This film is directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Dharma Productions in association with Star Studios, Prime Focus, and Starlight Pictures. ## Brahmastra Part One: Shiva stars Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Nagarjuna Akkineni, and Mouni Roy in key roles. ## For more and the latest news about Bollywood, Stay tuned.

Aamir Khan Shares A Heartfelt Video Note Seeking Forgiveness After 'Laal Singh Chaddha' Failure

Mumbai, September 1 - It hasn't been a sweet comeback for Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan as his Laal Singh Chaddha turns out to be a shocker for the actor with its dismal box office performance. Even with over 130 crores worldwide, the movie badly underperformed considering the high stake involved in it. ## "Laal Singh Chaddha" was largely affected by boycott calls from a section of people who claimed to have been hurt by Aamir's past actions through his movies. The actor did apologize before the release and now, after the film's box office failure, Aamir has shared a video note via his production house, seeking forgiveness if he has ever hurt people's sentiments in any form. ## The video note was recorded by someone else's voice, which begins by saying, "Michami Dukkadam" - an ancient Indian Prakrit language phrase which means may all the evil that has been done be in vain". ## "We are all human, and mistakes are made by humans. Sometimes by words, sometimes by actions, sometimes unconsciously, sometimes in anger, sometimes in jest, and sometimes by not talking. If I've ever hurt your heart in any way, I ask for forgiveness from my heart and soul. Michami Dukkadam".## pic.twitter.com/iZXeiRXxFQ— Aamir Khan Productions (@AKPPL_Official) September 1, 2022 ## Directed by Advait Chandan, LSC is a remake of the 1994 American film Forrest Gump which itself is an adaptation of the novel of the same name. The movie is produced by Aamir Khan Productions and Viacom18 Studios and also stars Kareena Kapoor, Naga Chaitanya (in his Hindi film debut), and Mona Singh in prominent roles. ## Stay tuned...

Netizens Slam Filmfare For Picking Ranveer Singh Over Sidharth Malhotra For Best Actor Award

Mumbai, August 31 - The 67th Filmfare Awards winners have been announced and it has left a section of people disappointed regarding the Best Actor. Ranveer Singh, who played the role of legendary Indian cricketer Kapil Dev in "83", has been awarded the Best Actor award, however, many people believe that it was Sidharth Malhotra who deserved this honor most for "Shershaah". ## Sidharth Malhotra played the role of the Kargil war hero, Param Vir Chakra awardee Vikram Batra and his twin brother Vishal in the Vishnuvardhan-directorial film. Sidharth's performance in the film is regarded as the finest act of his career. ## The actor was nominated for the Best Actor award with Ranveer Singh (83), Dhanush (Atrangi Re), and Vicky Kaushal (Sardar Uddham), but it was Ranveer, who grabbed the honor at 67th Filmfare Awards 2022. This didn't go well with people who were sure about Sidharth's chances for the award. They took to Twitter and expressed their disappointment on the same. ## This aint fair. If someone deserved the best actor award this year, it was @SidMalhotra for Shershaah. Filmfare has been really biased with this decision. Disappointed. https://t.co/B6RZpUiCII— Sara Naveed (@SaraNaveed) August 30, 2022 ## #FilmfareAwards2022 goes too #RanveerSingh forhis movie 83 this is very shocked. No bad against ranveer but 83 was a flop while shershah was a blockbuster. No one deserves to win more than #SidharthMalhotra This is so unfair.#FilmfareAwards2022 https://t.co/kXb8m6nMvT— À🎧 (@_aalohomora) August 30, 2022 ## Thanks! Now we are sure that filmfare is rigged! Kangana was right tho! Giving best actor award for a flop film! Kudos! #SidharthMalhotra you don't need a validation. https://t.co/vYgWmxw4LB— randomships. I've always felt that RS is a highly overrated actor. 83 was a flop. Shershaah was a blockbuster and Sid's performance was brilliant! He deserved to win this. #SidharthMalhotra https://t.co/zrnBreWwSn— riyaa (@RiyaaaS1210) August 31, 2022 ## That's why #Bollywood Is getting down day by day They never appreciate the real talent just pay and get awards pay and get fake reviews just pay for everything But never appreciate the deserving one Be ready Box office is baar krara jwaab dena ha with #ThankGod #SidharthMalhotra pic.twitter.com/rp5F0yQzuq— Sidxlovee (@sidxlovee) August 30, 2022 ## #KritiSanon deserved this award, she did a commendable job in Mimi.... But i m disappointed by fimfare, #SidharthMalhotra definitely deserved and award for #Shershaah... Anyways, he has won millions of heart through his acting and is ruling since this film has released... ❤— Rohan kumar (@Rohanku94784649) August 31, 2022 ## RS is a good actor Bt this year #SidharthMalhotra deserves Best Actor's Award. When #Shershaah won Best Action, Best editing, and also Best film then how come the person who acted in that film is not winning Best actor award it's truly unfair #FilmfareAwards2022— Sejal Nikam (@sejalnikam08) August 30, 2022 ## After Priyanka Chopra for Barfi, then Katrina Kaif for Zero, FF snubbed Sidharth Malhotra for Shershaah. This kind of bias attitude only happens in Bollywood, no wonder its falling down nowadays.
